Inflation is for the poor people, the rich wouldn’t feel a pinch.

As his student I can say with high conviction that Larry is one of the most egotistical professors in the field of economics. That wouldn’t have mattered had he not been so wrong!!

Milton Friedman said that 18 Ministries in USA can be on the chopping board without any consequence😉

Milt Friedman said a lot of thoughtful things and a lot of silly things; he was a bright fellow who made significant contributions and a lot of ridiculous assumptions and proposals;.

What cost the Dems is that they were not and did not talk to the people who are concerned about what is going to happen to them if only because too many people are living away from one pay check away from being on the streets and the Dems did not have a conversation about what it's going to look like if they won

The US capital market is more of a deal-driven one than Larry Summers is willing to admit.

Tariffs would lead to deflation , not inflation … just like 1930s

Many things lead to inflation or deflation, covering only some of the items is incomplete. Try reviewing improvements in government efficiency and how it might effect the economy. Try consider improvements in automation and how it might effect the economy.

Biden ignored inflation. Trump will too. After all Trump sought inflation inducing low interest rates during his first term.

I don't not agree with Larry's assertion that we had a labor short economy and are now in a labor balanced economy.. and even if that were so, the question remains what to do with all the excess illegal border crossers and how do we get national security as the leading concern..

There are ways to solve it without the draconian measures advocated by Trump. Canada is dealing with the same problem and yet the language used in the parliament is “let’s solve this problem,” and not “I will deport these criminals & rapists.”

national security as the leading concern??? lol. Stop washing your brain.

@stevenyu5384 other than crossing the border illegaly, I'd agree the majority of "undocumented immigrants" are not actual criminals and are here because they want a better life for their families and themselves.. That said, there are clearly violent criminals amongst them and without a secure border and a means of regulating immigration, an open border invites that element into this country.. we have enough of our own problem children born right here..we dont need more from another country.. unless you'd prefer to keep criminals and rapists, which no one should be ok with.. there is not another country on the planet where this type of immigration happens. No ther country would ever allow it.. its not safe and it's really not good for the economy or the immigrants themselves. There's an abundance of new immigrants everywhere.. and just like any time the law of supply and demand is broken, the over abundance of the immigrants is holding wages down for everyone

@malanalan1 well, maybe you dont care or you cant see how this weakens a counties security.. but right now the system is a poop show and letting it continue on as is degrades this country in many ways. Would you not agree part of national security is national wealth? While we waste billions on fighting drug catels from bring fentynal into our country our youth become sociatal wastes, which in turn bolster the drug cartells strenth and weakens our country.. Additionally, there may not be thousands of terrorists crossing the border every day but according to "main stream media" there have been several and for me, 1 is 1 too many.. and to do nothing is not acceptable.. what would you say when (not if) the day comes that either a Islamic terrorist or a narco terrorist decides to blow up a bus, or a store, or a school where maybe someone you know or love is injured or worse? I'm not willing to wait until it happens just so I could say, see i told you so.. I'd prefer action were taken beforehand so we can at least say we did our best. Right now, we're doing nothing.. I'm not advocating for total and complete deportation.. I think once Trump thinks it thru he'll realize he'll have no one to trim the hedges at Mara Largo.. But close the border, get an accounting of who's here, toss out the criminals, hunt down potential terrorists in our country..how can any US citizen not think that's a good idea. Unless you just don't care?? Which is possible
