Kristin, The foundation loop is an ingenious method of starting the shawls/stoles like Islamorada, Sunny Isles and Morgana. It makes sizing the stole broader or narrower much easier and more wonderful to the crocheter (in this case, me) than to use chain stitches. It is easier to count foundation loops than chain stitches.
I just finished making this pattern! It is beautiful ❤ This was my first time using thin yarn and it was fun! Thank you for the easy instruction.
Thank you, Kristin. Your shawls are always so beautiful. I am working on your coral shawl at the moment.
Kristin, the 2 yarns, Passionate Plum and Berrylicious, exude sophistication. Beautiful. So is the shawl.
Thank you!
This is stunning. I want to do this!!! Thanks and I've just subscribed
Awesome! Thank you!

Wonderful! Please send me your finished photos :)
Me encanta.
Gracias, muchas gracias, besos
I will be making this very soon.
lovely pattern. thank you
Thank you. Excuse me. You say in this video one needs only ONE ball/henk of yarn... How many grams? 50?
It is one ball of the specific yarn I used: Be So Fine Yarn, which is 4oz and 650 yards per ball. www.kristinomdahl.com/product/be-so-fine-yarn/
You should re-name this shawl. The negative spaces resemble an orchid flower. So beautiful.
Do you have the tutorial on youtube of the shawl that you show in the beginning of your videos...the pink with purple "blocks" in between? I love that one as well!!
It is called the Majestic Skies Shawl. I have videos on it and a full free pattern page on my website.

Kristin can your shawls patterns work with your be so Sporty weight yarn ? I love your yarn and patterns. Bless you and all you do!
Yes! Absolutely. You will just need to order accordingly to the yardage.
Kristin, could you turn the diagram on page 4, 90 degrees clockwise, so the diagram follows the video tutorial? I think it would be easier to follow.
