Thank you for your videos & patterns you share. I just started knitting a few weeks ago and have relied on your tutorials for almost everything. You have such a sweet and encouraging and positive presence ❤️
Chandi, I would like to thank you so much for including a tutorial for your most recent shawl patterns. I’m a avid crocheter and just recently, by watching your tutorials I have started to take a big interest in knitting. I have tried you simplest of knits and I’m so enjoying this. I’m so glad I have found your channel.
Hi Chandi, I only ‘discovered’ knitting last year and am working my way through your videos. This pattern is wonderful and the colours you chose for the model shawl are so beautifully subtle you barely notice the stripes. I’ve started knitting this in pearl and fuscia. Sadly because the pink is so bold the stripes are very visible, so it’s not nearly as gorgeous as yours, but hey ho, you live you learn…I’ll soldier on! Thank you for sharing these beautiful patterns with us😊
I am in awe of your talent and darling personality. You are a breath of fresh air and I just love watching your tutorials. Your scarves and shawls are breathtaking. This one has me a bit stumped, but I’ll keep trying. It is so soft, feminine and ever so flowy! I’ll let you know when I complete it. By the way, are you Continental knitting in your tutorials? You make it look so easy. And you are just so dang adorable, my dear! I love your outfits! So much my taste. Thank you for giving me such beautiful products to browse through. Have a wonderful evening! 😌
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost the account password. I love any help you can offer me!
@Nico Christopher I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
just come across this shawl and it is so beautiful, light and airy. I was looking for something to gift to a friend for her birthday and this will be ideal
This is esquisit♢ Ok I can't knit scared to learn. I am a just about middle learner crocheter. But you convinced me that I can learn to knit. Thank you 😄 your awesome. Big hugs and appreciation.
I just had to subscribe again!! 😮 thank you for all your videos, I just finished one of your Shaws! Can't express how much this beginner appreciates you !🫶
Chandi, I just love watching your videos they are so relaxing! If I ever lose my knitting mojo(I hope not!) I know I will watch your videos because it makes me reach for my knitting! Thanks for your patterns knowledge and encouragement! Love ya
Hi Rachel, thank you for your question. I'm happy to help with that. You can either use 2 separate containers (like 2 yarn bowls, ziplocks or similar) and put each ball in one of them. This way the strands don't meet until you're ready to knit them together. Or you can also wind both strands into one ball. I hope this makes sense and helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. Have wonderful day! 😍
Beautiful!! I have a question though: you said to cast on any number of stitches but since there is a combination pattern involved isn't there some sort of formula? ie: 5 plus 2 or whatever 😉 I'm relatively new to knitting and would love to give this a try 😍
I still am in love with this pattern and I plan on making it soon! Not soon enough, you have a ton of patterns that I MUST make that my dresser if full of your yarn and not make into cakes yet. Some day... I have the beginning of Wandering scarf waiting beside me! Onward knitting needles, lets get some rows done!!! Love!!!
Omgosh, what a beautiful project! 😄. Can't wait to give it a try, I was mentally going thru my yarn inventory as I watched this. Also, you have such a lovely, graceful demeanor, it is a pleasure to watch your tutorials. Thank you and please have a Blessed day!
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial and pattern. I am an advanced beginner and so excited to start this project. I can't wait to receive the beautiful yarn and work with it. You are so sweet and beautiful 💕

This is truly a lovely shawl, and you explained it so well. Looking forward to making it. It's easily memorized too so you're not having to constantly refer back and forth to a pattern. I'm thinking my two sisters might like this for their Christmas gift this year! As a side note, I just wanted to tell you I think you always wear the most beautiful clothes! Loved the dress in today's video.
Hi Chandi, I just started the Roshwen shawl…you make it look so easy…I’m having difficulties with the Yo, p2tog…I seem to be losing the stitches moving from the sz8 double strand to the sz6 single st…I’m better at knitting. Can I do that instead? Will it affect the lace pattern?
It will affect the lace pattern if you omit the p2tog and yo, since those two stitches together are what create the open, lacy look. You might try just practicing the yo, p2tog sequence on a a swatch with larger needles until you get the hang of it, and then return to working on the shawl itself.

@ExpressionFiberArts These are particularly great for formal/dressy occasions if you don't want to wear a bra or camisole with your gown/cocktail dress! You can keep your bust area covered while looking classy at the same time!
Yes, you can for sure. I might try to use a solid, not too dark color though so that the lace and pattering is better visible. I hope this is helpful. Enjoy! 💕

Thanks Chandi for sharing such a beautiful pattern with us. I have just finished my third Copland it’s more than time to move on. Sad thing is I don’t think I have any of your fingering yarn. I will have to order some. Have a wonderful day and be safe 😊🇨🇦
Hello!! I love everything about your work! However I’m doing something wrong when I start row 5, somehow I’m decreasing .. any advice on what could be happening?
Hi there, thank you for your message. I'm happy to help. The only way I can explain it, is that you might be dropping your yarn over and are only purling 2 together without adding the the yarn over. This would lead to decreasing instead of keeping the initial stitch count. 💞
@@ExpressionFiberArts hi!! Thank you for your response!! Yes that’s exactly what I was doing! I practiced the first 20 rows and looking forward to making this for my husband’s Grandmother ☺️

Lovely. To get a shawl the size of the one in the video, how many stitches would you suggest casting on please? Thanks for your joyful videos!
The sample shown here uses a cast on of 90 sts, but you can cast on any number that's a multiple of 4 sts plus 2.

Hi Chandi, thanks for this wonderful video . Can you give me some tips of preventing tangling of the 2 yarns when using a single thread please.

The cast on for this piece is 90 sts. To make in an alternate width, cast on a multiple of 4 sts plus 2.

do we need to cast even no of stitches? or can we use the odd no of stitches too?
You just need to cast on any multiple of 4 + 2 stitches. (So it would need to be an even number)

It will affect the lace pattern if you omit the p2tog and yo, since those two stitches together are what create the open, lacy look. You might try just practicing the yo, p2tog sequence on a a swatch with larger needles until you get the hang of it, and then return to working on the shawl itself.
