Jason, this is 100% the most beautiful thing you've made on this channel, and you've made some COOL stuff. I will be enjoying a nice glass of bourbon for a job well done on your behalf. Keep on being awesome!
This is one of the few really great channels that didn’t get caught up in the tool review trend. I come for the project ideas and the wisdom of a craftsman who knows how to make great stuff. I already know some of my tools suck and that upgrading is inevitable. But drooling over SawStop and Festool doesn’t make me a better woodworker. Thanks, Jason, for staying the course! You rock!
Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
thx .. i just realize that what I like the most in Ur vids is the satisfying slow and calm voice... not like the other who have to speak loud un clear while they record their voice live... 🥃🥃🥃
@2:25, you can do it by using a board half the lenght and twice the thickness, you resaw it and use it to make the "two halves" (one long and one short side) of the box that perfectly match on all 4 corners.
Jason! You CAN have grain matching on all 4 corners. 1)Cut a board that is half the perimeter of your box 2) resaw the board on the bandsaw 3)glue the edges of the 2 new boards together with the resawn faces on the same side. This leaves you with a board that matches up on the ends
Wow that turned out super sharp. I’ve been pretty much binging on your channel for the last week or so and this is the coolest thing I’ve seen yet, not that your other projects aren’t! I love the retro styling and the accents that tie it all together. Very nice!
Great build. Also, it was fun to watch how installing the brass rods was done. When installing magnets in pairs, it's important to keep the orientation correct so they attract rather than repel each other. Don't ask how I know. Haha. Thanks.
Jason, Totally beautiful cabinetry. For me what really finishes the work you do is the details, like the round cross disc inlays in the door with the orange acrylic background. The other cabinet that I have really liked, and was the first of your videos I saw, was the cabinet with the multiple pyramiding squares. Of course your dry humour is key, especially your advertising spiels for different businesses you have as sponsors on your channel. I don't actually like the advertising on any channel, but I understand the reasons for it. When the content creators take the time, energy, and effort to promote their sponsors in their own original way, I truly appreciate the effort, especially when there is humour in what they do. You put humour throughout your videos, which I have great appreciation of, since I'm a stand up comedian and understand the effort made to have effective humour in your own taste for an audience of people you don't know anything about. Thank You for the great videos, the incredible cabinetry and woodworking you do. You truly are a master handling your wood 😜
❤❤ I know you’ll probably never see this since this video is a year old or more, but this cabinet was so cool watching you build it. I just recently started watching wood turning and woodworking. I’m usually watching the paint pouring channels because that’s what I’m into. But this came out really nice. Everything that I watched you do has come out so well I especially love you doing the at the camper something I forget what it was but that was cool. I watched that one I’ve been watching just going through finding your videos and watching them so I’m enjoying them and keep making them. Thank you.❤❤
I use acrylic mirror for bar back panels because I frequently have to cover odd shapes and the acrylic is a lot more workable than glass mirror (sharp inside corners, etc.) but the trick to longevity and avoiding scratches is to use a ceramic coating, I treat mine with Armor Shield X but just about any of the automotive ceramic coatings will work.
This has been, by far, the most entertaining maker video I've watched. GREAT craftsmanship, and the addition of f**king Craig for the finish work was hilarious. Thanks for sharing! SUBSCRIBED
Wonderful outcome Jason! Great work and creativity! One, tiny detail. If you have not done so, on the doors, put a little button of felt over the magnets to keep them from snapping on each other. Doors will shut quieter and still be plenty strong.
Great job Jason! Traditionally, butt hinges should be set down the length of the hinge being used….that is, if your hinge is 50mm long, you come down 50mm then set it in….Cheers mate!!🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
I gave myself my first attempt at something like this few a months ago when I made a shot glass rack. It’s not exactly square and there are things that I would’ve done differently but hey, it’s for me, it serves its purpose and otherwise looks really nice. But this cabinet looks incredible, i love the look of brass with walnut. And I personally would make the splines and backer of the doors purple, but it looks great Jason!
You should do a basic tutorial video on how to use sketchup. I've got a basic handle in it, but I'm sure there's things I could be doing better and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It would certainly be appreciated!
You can grain match 4 corners... Start with a board about 2.5-3x as thick as you want your end product... Resaw and cut your miters so that the 2 faces of the original/full-thickness board are your outside faces.
Comfy! I gotta say, our kids and our dogs, (not cats😾, (yeah I said it!🤕)), are the about the best part of living! She will treasure the things you make her forever. Great workmanship by the way! Both projects turned out beautifully! By the way, I have a dog and a cat, and I love my dog so much! 🐶❤️
Yes I learned something, you are probably the most talented wood worker on UA-cam. I haven’t see the door build video yet but good grief, this is amazing. When I watch something like this I think of where I could make a mistake. Well hell, pretty much from start to finish. Lol. Thanks for the video, amazing stuff my friend.
Hi Jaaon, i love your vids and your way of tallking whilst building. I like your cabinet. I gonna build one. I am just going to replace yr orange back pieces with mirrors. I think it would give a nice 3d effect. Any ways , love your stuff.
Many many moons ago when i was just a lil boy somewhere in the early 60s, my father used to have a almost similar cabinet with orange in de doors and a mirror on the inside back. The inside was covered with red velvet. That's where also he kept his booze and cigaars. Nice build Jason. I love it.
For a wall mount, the unit, as built is great. If you want to put this on a table, I would add a 1/2" high base so the doors won't drag on an uneven table surface. I like your spline jig.
This is super cool. Awesome job, as always, Jason! 🔥 One thing I would've done differently is I would've put lights to the back in front of the mirrors and left the doors without the backplate so the lights would've made the "stars" pop. Plus a controller to change the light colour when the doors open or something could be a nice touch. Well, technically, I can't say that I would've done it any differently, because I can't build stuff like this to save my life, but you know what I mean... 😅
Great video as usual. Awesome talent. I noticed you have a dart board on your door. Just a suggestion, to keep from putting holes in your door and walls I “wood” (LOL) recommend building a dart board cabinet and posting on UA-cam.
Is it sad every time one’s posted I pretty much shut down my business. Framers and she’s rockers standing around waiting for me to finish a video! Keep up the work sir!
you can have 4 corners grain match if you make the bottem 2 pieces so the 4 corners are inside the piece and the two ends meet in the middle at the bottom...
What I like about your video. You make an informative video and there are no long segments of watching a table saw cut wood. Or an aural assault of router screeches to prove work is being done. You got rid of the noise and chaff and instead had an instructional voice over. Good choice. Thanks.
Co-founder of The Prideful Goat here! Thank you for featuring my brand!
Im learning a lot from you thanks
This was absolutely by a zillion miles the best Ad break anyone has ever done. Squarespace hit the lottery and should use this as a commercial.
Hard to believe a week has flown by since I watched the door build.
Solid cabinet my man. Glad to see you doing more of these projects again
When cutting stuff without glasses on you have to engage the safety squints.
Better to just keep the safety squints. Adopt it as a look. Clint Eastwood made a career of it grrr
That was Awesome 👍
Ahahaha!🤣
Last time I did that I ended up in the er with pressure treated wood in both eyes. Next time, I’ll squint harder
Break out the Bosch and Lomb safety contacts

The wood whisperer recently did a video on getting 4 grain matched corners. Great video and I'm glad to see the whole thing come together!
ua-cam.com/video/SUd3I6Kx1Z0/v-deo.html
I was just about to say this as well
I was thinking that too. Only problem in this case is he'd almost need to source some 10/4 white oak to be able to get the size pieces for this.
i was going to say google chasing grain
thx .. i just realize that what I like the most in Ur vids is the satisfying slow and calm voice... not like the other who have to speak loud un clear while they record their voice live... 🥃🥃🥃

First background song has strong After Dark vibes from From Dusk Til Dawn, I dig it and the cabinet 🤙🏼
Good luck to whomever wins the contest. I so hope you choose to build a big epoxy river table with a custom base made from pallet wood.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
ahHahahaha
The quality of these builds are just some of the best craftsmanship you will see. Awesome work.

Slight flex with the Weller bourbon. Cabinet itself almost does it justice and that is a beautiful cabinet. Grown man crying beautiful… great stuff.

Been there, done that!
I actually watched your commercial for squarespace. Very creative, well done! I don't need a website at this time, but if I did I know where to go.

So, the piece is fantastic, the Squarespace add was a hoot. I am a web designer and that was hilarious.
Jason, if I’m ever in your neck of the woods I’m robbing that cabinet between the Weller and the cabinet itself. Holy hell it’s gorgeous.
❤❤ I know you’ll probably never see this since this video is a year old or more, but this cabinet was so cool watching you build it. I just recently started watching wood turning and woodworking. Hi Jason, a fold-out shelf to pour your drinks.?
Such beautiful work! I wish it was still a norm for all men to be handy..!
Thanks for the reply
Congrats you've won contact me right away I have something for you

Great cabinet Jason....and appropriately filled with several thousand dollars of great spirits!!
Got turned on to your channel from Flipping drawers! This is my first time visiting your channel and loved it!
wow man. Love this. I would've use bright red acrylic for the back of the doors
Love the WELLER on the top shelf. Best Bourbons around IMO.
This has been, by far, the most entertaining maker video I've watched. GREAT craftsmanship, and the addition of f**king Craig for the finish work was hilarious. Thanks for sharing! SUBSCRIBED
It makes me happy to see Larceny Barrel Proof and Laphroiag Quarter Cask in your cabinet.
Wow, that is heirloom quality. It’s a work of art. Please show it to us on the wall when you get it mounted.
What a great build, thanks! I usually don’t watch 35 minute You Tube videos unless there is some near nudity, but I did this one.
You can do all 4 corners by resawing and using book matching to achieve the four corner wrap.
Wonderful outcome Jason! Great work and creativity! One, tiny detail. If you have not done so, on the doors, put a little button of felt over the magnets to keep them from snapping on each other. Doors will shut quieter and still be plenty strong.

I watched this while sipping Bruchladaich Port Charlotte. It paired nicely.
Dude, that at for SquareSpace ad was hilarious! You’re a genius!
Wonderful...as ever...yiu make the Pricess a JOY to watch and listen-to...makes my Day!!...dgp/uk
Love the way you continuously make complicated things doable! Those doors are awesome.
a good tip for peeling acrylic, grab a tube or pipe and roll the mask on to the tube. it goes much easier

Looks sweet dude. Dig how the texture came out on those doors.
Daniel and rex would be hella impressed with that. I'd seriously love to see a collaboration vid with the whiskey vault.
You should do a basic tutorial video on how to use sketchup. I've got a basic handle in it, but I'm sure there's things I could be doing better and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It would certainly be appreciated!
Very Nice Jason!! Although you are missing a bottle of Black Bush in there. I always say there's nothing like a Black Bush at the end of the night...
brass rods through the outside of the white oak cabinet filled with a walnut plug also woudl have been a nice touch!
You can grain match 4 corners... Start with a board about 2.5-3x as thick as you want your end product... Resaw and cut your miters so that the 2 faces of the original/full-thickness board are your outside faces.
Nice choices with Highland Park and Laphroiag in the cabinet. You like your whisky with a smack of peat. Two of my favourites.
That's how you recognized the craftsman. Beautiful
Comfy! I gotta say, our kids and our dogs, (not cats😾, (yeah I said it!🤕)), are the about the best part of living! She will treasure the things you make her forever. Great workmanship by the way! Danny Diveto in the back of the shot at the start of the video wearing the Katz Moses apron made me lol. 10/10.
Hi Jaaon, i love your vids and your way of tallking whilst building. I like your cabinet. I gonna build one. I am just going to replace yr orange back pieces with mirrors. I think it would give a nice 3d effect. Any ways , love your stuff.
Now that was an over the top beautiful Whiskey Cabinet build Jason! Bottoms Up! 👍👍
Nice work! This gives me old school vibes. Like the furniture that has the TV, Record player, and radio.
Many many moons ago when i was just a lil boy somewhere in the early 60s, my father used to have a almost similar cabinet with orange in de doors and a mirror on the inside back. The inside was covered with red velvet. That's where also he kept his booze and cigaars. Nice build Jason. I love it.
A useful addition to any well equipped woodworking shop. Can you have imperial on one side and metric on the other?
I been watching your videos since last year and man, i can say it worth it!
Dont know if many of you guys but im a huge fun of bourbon.
Just recently found the channel. I was impressed to see the Prideful Goat bottle!
Great looking build! The full Weller set adds a nice pop of colors as well!
Wow very nice build. Jason flexing with the Weller collection and Stagg. Nice collection.
Clearly shows your favourite bourbon. The untouched Weller range just looks good inside this amazing cabinet 😉
Love it. Simply great work 👍
For a wall mount, the unit, as built is great. If you want to put this on a table, I would add a 1/2" high base so the doors won't drag on an uneven table surface. I like your spline jig.
One of the better squarespace plugs 😀😀😀
Wow! That cabinet turned out absolutely beautiful. You could hang it in a very high end home and it would fit right in perfectly.
That cabinet needs some Ardbeg! And The Botanist is excellent gin! Great project
So nice to see something different than a simple cabinet
This is super cool. Awesome job, as always, Jason! 🔥
One thing I would've done differently is I would've put lights to the back in front of the mirrors and left the doors without the backplate so the lights would've made the "stars" pop. Plus a controller to change the light colour when the doors open or something could be a nice touch.
Well, technically, I can't say that I would've done it any differently, because I can't build stuff like this to save my life, but you know what I mean... 😅
That is a beautiful piece of work. The splines absolutely make it.
im more impressed with the Weller collection than anything!
I’m not sure what I like more - your cabinet build or your Weller collection!
Your craftsmanship is over the top, as usual!
What kind of pocket knife is that you have?
Nice array of Weller. 12 is my fav!
Great job, awesome finish , just one thing to mention copper will turn dark after a while.
Nicely done for you’re sponsor.
I watched that part without skipping 🙈
Adding products to the webshop 😂😂
Great video as usual. Awesome talent. I noticed you have a dart board on your door. Just a suggestion, to keep from putting holes in your door and walls I “wood” (LOL) recommend building a dart board cabinet and posting on UA-cam.
Whiskey snob, single malt Scotch.
Absolutely love Balvennie.
This may be the best thing I've ever seen, absolutely beautiful work 👍
I love that 😃. Makes me want to buy lots of bourbon & whiskey so I have to make a cabinet.
I am mucho impressed by your full collection of Weller. As beautiful as the cabinet they're in!
Fantastic cabinet, I love it. Personally I keep the bourbon in the fridge but, and only but if you hand me that cabinet I may do an exception 🤣😂🤣🥰😂🤣
Hahahahahahah, Thanks Jason, I did learn a lot add a lot of fun and humor really great man.
Is it sad every time one’s posted I pretty much shut down my business. Framers and she’s rockers standing around waiting for me to finish a video! Keep up the work sir!
Yes
Great selection of bourbon stock as well 😋
Just made myself a nice old fashioned and am so ready for this video!
You should add a shelf onto the door so when you open it you can put a glass on it while you pour the whisky/bourbon.
Great build, thanks for the SawStop/acrylic break trip info!
There is a way to have a 4-way continuous grain though: Split a board on the band saw to have two bookmatched boards, and continue from there.
That turned out awesome!!!
Nice Weller collection!!
Love how the orange part of the cabinet match with the clamps on your wall ;)
I don’t have a shop, but we could totally go shop supply shopping and build something mini for my first project!
Gorgeous! Ya pulled out all the stops. Enjoy your cabinet
you can have 4 corners grain match if you make the bottem 2 pieces so the 4 corners are inside the piece and the two ends meet in the middle at the bottom...
A guy with the right priorities

subtle flex with the wellers there
:)
Jason just a beautiful cabinet wow
