I was in Hong Kong in 1982 as a young U.S. Marine on a ship. We had a week of liberty there. It was under British rule then. I visited Kowloon. Very awesome place and I plan to go back someday.
I'm a local. This is a great coverage of HK but don't forget to check out the incredible hikes!! MacLehose Trail from Saikung, hiking to the Tian Tan Buddha from the Lantau Trail, hiking the Twin Peaks into Stanley, Lion's Rock, etc. The list honestly goes on and on. Enjoy the food, the hike, the people and the views!
Hong Kong is one of the BEST city in China with thousands of tourists goes for vacation with family & relatives in 2023❤❤❤Remarkable city of Hong Kong,China in May of 2023❤❤❤
If it was not for the music, and I will never understand why people put music behind voices in youtube videos, your videos would be perfect. Concise and to the point with practical information.
Okay there was an error in this guide that I want to bring to your attention. The cable cars at Ocean Park are different from Ngong Ping. The Ngong Ping cable car is on Lantau Island and will take you to Big Buddha
Among the many other videos I have came across, this is THE best recording of touristing Hong Kong, what to do, to see, etc., all in a nutshell. (And the only one that captured my attention from begining to finish) Thank you for sharing.
I first visited HK in 1993. Have visited a few times and most recent was in May 2023. Although busy, congested and chaotic, it has a certain charm which i like. However, i noticed subtle changes over the years. I think i still like the old HK vibes. Bolder, more rude and in your face😂 but it is the character of HK. I hope HK maintains its old charm. I like Cantonese too! Too many Mandarin speaking cities already.
I wish you safe journeys on your remarkable vacation in Hong Kong,China in May of 2023 for more new videos to be releases in 2023❤❤❤❤Remarkable video to watch today’s in peace 2023❤❤❤
21 thing to do = ASK them = Why is there a phrase like 殺一儆百 = What type of chinese-people disagree with this and treat it as a creation from weaklings. Reference - 斬草除根,免留後患。夷為平地。。。
The Ngong Ping 360 cable cars and the ocean park cable cars are not the same, and the trains are MTR, not MRT (I think just a typo) Otherwise, good list of interesting things to visit in HK
Great video! I do want to mention the Chungking Mansions, though. For those who want to see the grittier side of the city, I recommend a visit. They are a unique icon of the city. I even recommend staying overnight in them.
Very nice presentation but I question your explanation of the junk boats. Rather than being named for carrying junk, the word comes from the Chinese word jũng, meaning boat or ship. Throughout history, they have been war ships, trading ships, fishing ships and passenger vessels.
Junk boats are/were not used for carrying garbage. The English name comes from Javanese djong (Malay: adjong), meaning 'ship' or 'large vessel'. Junks were originally developed during the Han Dynasty (220 B.C.E.-200 C.E.) and further evolved to represent one of the most successful ship designs in history. Junks were used both for military combat and for trade, traveling long distances on rough inland rivers and at across the sea. (New World Encyclopedia)

I want to say that reaching Shenzhen isn't easy if you are planning to get a 5 day Visa at the Border. Also Shenzhen is hugeee, you need to plan a bit more than a day. Also there are good Foot Massage studios. 😂
HK is my favourite place to visit, I'll be back there in just over a week. Good video. Just a couple of things; SAR stands for Special Administrative Regional. The Peak Tram is a funicular tram. The Mid-Levels escalator only goes down from 6am till 10am it goes down, after 10am intil midnight it only goes up.
Hong Kong is one of the BEST Asian city in China with so many remarkable skyscrapers, hotels, restaurants, bars, companies, resorts, etc. for tourists to visit in 2023❤❤❤
I remember when my brother and I visited Hong Kong about 35 years ago. I was looking at the pet shop and the variety of dogs they had. Out tour guide informed us that it was a butcher. OMG! One evening we were standing by the harbor and just talking. A young couple with 6 children approached us and we had a chat. They were convinced that since we were from the states we would be near Hollywood. Next they asked us if we liked children. Of course I said, then the man asked if I wanted to adopt one of their children and I could make him/her a movie star and he/she could make lots of money to send back to his/her parents to help support them. I cried after the shock wore off. I knew how much the money could help the family. I saw some sad sites there as well as the nice places. I never went there again.
Ahhh yes I had to scroll back up to realize that was 1988 and not 2023. Seems like giving up children & making poor life decisions switched over to many urban areas of 🇺🇸 😂😢
