I throw a little lick of slaz on mine. Clean the two mating surfaces, pop on a little smear of slaz, slip it on and let it set. I was once in the outback, up the diamantina development road and had one crack. Using a chux cloth and some ultra black silicone like layers of fibreglass, I rebuilt it. Lasted the whole trip like that.
Plastic caps are not designed to seal... They are just dust caps... There should be no oil seeping from the where the dust caps. Time to check your hub seals

I've done ziplock bags and zip ties before lol. Must get some genuine ones when I can

I tried that in the past, lost my lucky cable tie, and the hub cap as well.

Probably easier to keep on top of maintenance though
@@TheAussieRepairGuy Yes, Imaginary repairs are MUCH easier than regular ones. Mind you, I now have access to a car hoist.....

Just recently replaced all 6. And yes i know - this was a quick fix to get me going till I can do it properly.
