You do a terrific job of explaining the logic of this stitch. That really helps those of us who are verbal learners more than visual learners. I know most fiber artists are visual learners and teachers, but many of the rest of us are really helped by articulate verbal explanations.

This stitch and the HHDC are my favorite for sweaters. It takes longer but it looks and wears so nicely! 😉💚💜

Thanks for showing me how to make this stitch. I just bought a sweater pattern from you that uses this. I think I can, I think I can, I think I will😅

Very pretty stitch!!! But here I am watching how beautifully your hook glides through the yarn! Lol! That’s a Furls hook?

Why do you go into first st on 2nd row after chaining two? I thot the chain counts as first st. Wouldn’t that add a st every row, or am I looking at it wrong?

Hi Ashlea, I’m going to be making the sweater today starting. I notice in the video you start a new row with a Hbdc in the same as the chain st, did you do this in your sweater pattern also please? Thanks. I’m assuming it looks nicer this way. I just normally do sc and hdc in same as the chain and dc into the next stitch so I was wanting to ask what the purpose was, I may want to change the way I do it all the time now. Thanks!

Yes, I go into the first stitch. I just think it looks nicer when the chain is not counted
