The Wikipedia article about the aircraft says: "the aircraft is a completely new design, not derived from any existing aircraft" Uh huh... Just like the T-6 II 'wasn't derived from the PC-9' Could be the PC-12's long lost twin brother!!
That's not really what that means. The wiki means to say it was a clean sheet design. It didn't stretch a fuselage or reuse a wing from an already certified aircraft. Now taking inspiration from is a different story. That said, all fairly reutine even in the preliminary design phase. Typically you'll pull performance numbers for other similar aircraft from other companies to help verify your calculations. It's a sanity check. I realize what you are talking about though is a bit different. I could share some stories relating to Pilatus here but that probably wouldn't be appropriate.
Different wing, different engine, different fuselage and instrumentation. The engine is GE not Prat. Scalable power up to 1900 SHP. Better maintenance cycles and fuel flow. Design has been ready for years, awaiting on the engine. This design is upward scalable in many ways where the PC-12 is locked in and now has a competitor with more maintenance facilities available.
If the H80 series is already giving away metal filings after only a short time of use, there is no support, expensive parts, bad GE Praga corruption, numerous bearing change bulletins, FCU changes, GEARBOX changes among thousands of other factors, imagine this new engine . It will be the successor to the H80 with new problems.
you know these new planes are cool and all but i miss the retro feel of digital-analog and full analog cockpits like the Dash 7 or Metroliner. days long past i suppose....
My guess is they are too late to penetrate a market firmly established by the competition 30 years ago. I fly EMS in a PC12, and know it fairly well. The ngx, and this, are overburdened with high tech gimmick stuff like auto throttles. Meh. Give a legacy 47 pc 12 with G600 and GTN 750 and call it a day. It does not need fadec.
The comments that the Denali looks like a Pilatus PC12 are off the mark. The Denali is very close in design to the TBM 900 series aircraft A PC12 will seat 10 passengers in an aerial shuttle bus configuration. The Denali started life as the Cessna Denali, then for whatever reason was transferred to the Beechcraft line up. I love that with using the GE Catalyst engine and the FADAC digital engine controls, the time for major inspection is 4,000 hours. The Pratt PT6 variants require/required inspections at 2,000 hours. I'm also a fan of Garmin electronics. Honeywell avionics are used in much larger aircraft, so if you're a owner/operator of light twins or other turbo props, chances are you're using Garmin.
I would think that Pilates has patents on the design? Beechcraft basically stole it! The windows are slightly different in shape. But…looks like something China would do.
2900 ft take off.......ouch! Pilatus beats its by 500 feet, their own King Air 260 by 800 ft. For a new lighter engine I would expect better performance and speed.
I'm from Brazil, Socana Aviação Agrícola we bought a Thrush 510G with a H80-100 serial number H80-207DC and with only 1900 hours of engine operation it showed metal filings, a serious problem. Thush never provided support or honored the warranty. We have more than 30 Thrush operators in Brazil with problems. Thush and GE general electric are the worst companies in this world. I have photos, videos, reports. I have everything documented. We are bringing together all operators in Brazil to take legal action against GE.
The GE H80 series, formerly Walter, is a joke. There are infinite mandatory bulletins, the reduction box cannot last 500 hours, FCU bulletins and breakdowns, the engine has a bearing change bulletin which is more expensive than buying a PT6. I SAY this because I bought a Thrush 510G with a GE H80 engine. This engine showed filings after little use. GE Czech Prague will not assist you. Here in Brazil, all GE engines had problems. More than operators on the ground with a white elephant. Apart from the countless accidents.
Pilatus for ever !❤
Beautifully done video - wish all aviation videos could be as good!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
single engine king air
ALLISON turboprop fast & aerodynamic!
Isn't it the new GE Catalyst?
Flat floor! I love it!
*That new GE Catalyst Engine,*
*Sounds like a Flying Saucer getting ready for Takeoff*
1300hp
Looking very nice!!😊😊 Thank you for sharing.😊
Good looking AC
I absolutely love the PC12 but this is definitely right up there with it.
They copied it
Thankfully they didn’t. The PC-12 forward lav is ridiculously bad. The Denali lav will help this airplane compete
Will be interesting to see how they expect to compete with Pilatus.
Your text here will be attached to the process.
I think you're looking at "how".
Make it $.5M cheaper
This is a beautiful aircraft❤
It's a Beechcraft. Nuff said. Although I would wait for the later variants. But this one is gonna be awesome!

They just needed one engineer from Switzerland to copy the PC12
The new Piper Fury gets my vote.
What's with the antenna wire on the tail section? Are we back in the 1946 DC era?
Why a brand new turboprop? Why not the trusted PT6 ?
Right
Can you imagine that Million Dollar repair.
Are the parts interchangeable with the PC12NG?
No, Denali has real restroom😂
Avia Expo where are you setting up next ?
Is that a Robertson stol flap kit ? :)
While Looking at it. It Look like the top of the Front oleo strut had crack in it. Might just be a grease line. Maybe I'm just OCD. Yep grease lines
Where is a Beechcraft Dealership in the Northeast Region located
Why does it look like a pilatus PC-12?
The Wikipedia article about the aircraft says: "the aircraft is a completely new design, not derived from any existing aircraft"
Uh huh... Just like the T-6 II 'wasn't derived from the PC-9'
Could be the PC-12's long lost twin brother!!

Gee, I wonder where they got their inspiration!
A single engine King Air?

WOW!
you know these new planes are cool and all but i miss the retro feel of digital-analog and full analog cockpits like the Dash 7 or Metroliner. days long past i suppose....
super
This is what you get when you put particular criteria into a CAD program - near-identical exterior designs.
Just like the current crop of airliners.
I do love this Pc12, oh no
My guess is they are too late to penetrate a market firmly established by the competition 30 years ago. I fly EMS in a PC12, and know it fairly well. Looks new but not too modern .🆒😎👍
If it was $2 million or so less it would be more marketable. At that price range I would get a Pc-12 or King air 200 or 350.

Single engine King Air
Patents aren't for life..they expire!
I didn’t know Pilates owned the rights to the PC-12. I thought it was an exercise program.
@@cloudstreets1396😂
Not even close. Just because they basically look alike from the outside. I say comparing certain airliners to each other. Come on man do better.
Baby of Epic and Pilatus hehehe 😂
Pilatus PC12 look alike.
Hey! There's some TBM-700 in there too.
TBM GOOD A LIKE
Anyone heard price?
About $7M
Bello avion, vuelo el bimotor pero me interesa este
For the love of Christ, somebody please wipe the smudges off of the cabinets lol! OCD me. Very nice aircraft.
You missed all the debris on the floor. You're an OCD wannabe. (Jk)
@@toddfather1971 ha!!!
Ha ! It’s a single engine King air with trailing link gear.
It’s not an EP? Well!
I have to wonder if there going to be a lawsuit coming down the way. It looks like an exact copy of the PC-12 to me
Price?
About $7M
Wrong question when discussing performance.
Oh yeah, like you are gonna buy it !!!! lol
Better off giving that one back to Cessna! Not sure this Beechcraft/Cessna thing is gonna work out.
It looks smaller than the PC-12
Looks like a Pilatus w/ a Longitude cockpit 😂
มันก็จะมีเสียงสนทนากับเราด้วย
*This Plane is Loaded with Advanced Electronics*

Beechcraft stumbled past the single turboprop way back when with the Lightening. They used a Garret and everyone cried about it. Big mis😮.take
A TPE 331 cannot match the venerable PT6 2:40
So beech just replicated the pc12!
Pilatus - PC12
I heard it has a Walters Tuboprop/if they didn’t put the Pratt in there it is going to be a looser!
2900 ft take off.......ouch! Pilatus beats its by 500 feet, their own King Air 260 by 800 ft. For a new lighter engine I would expect better performance and speed.
Swiss made Beech PC12.

Y'all know it's clone, but does it FLY?
Beechcraft Pilatus 😂
That nose gear.......
Wouldjya look at that…..
Gosh, and they only sell for $125,000 so everyone can own one…? awesome….

*cough cough* PC-12 *cough*
So it’s a not as good Pilatus. Way to go Textron. You are only 30 years old late to the game.
You are so far behind you think you’re in the lead!
LMFAO PC12
Beechcraft used the CHINESE playbook and copied it.
ever heard of convergent evolution?
Almost a perfect copy of a PC-12.
FAIL!! Doesn't match the PC-12NGX in performance or price!
Looks like a knockoff copy of Pilatus PC 12/45. The interior looks cheap and does not look stylish overall.
PC12 knockoff.
Pilatus do it better
Excellent grammar
I can tell you are not very observant. Anti American? Is that why I am praising an American Made product over Swiss made? 😂😂 go figure.
Sorry if you feel that way. We just post videos of planes regardless where they made and without any /anti-/ thoughts in mind.
Please accept my apologies. My comment was intended for an individual who sent me a response. I will respond to him directly. Regards
So is this what Beechcraft does now? Steal others designs cause they arnt innovative enough to come up with there own design? What a rip off.
