      I do like him but am not sure he's that honest about everything. Maybe he is a bit jealous of Paul taking his potential place of bassist in the band.

      @@melinarodriguez8395 No, I cannot believe that at all !
      He for sure is a decent bass player but he never could have been a Beatle.
      He's not the kind of a fronts man, and he has stated that in many interviews.
      He loved being a sides man and he's done a lot of awesome jobs on that
      with many artists. His relationship with Paul is spot on to this day.

      @@melinarodriguez8395 Macca wankers want to turn everything into a contest and jealousy towards Macca, as if that elevates him but in a fake way. Moronic.

    The Revolver cover was phenomenal, and Tomorrow Never Knows was an incredible track.

    Paul's records with Youth

    Along these interviews I get the impression that he is quite a bit unfair with Paul. He adores the avant garde sound of Tomorrow never knows and attributes it only to John, when it was mainly Paul's experimentations at that time that contributed such original sounds to the recordings. After the Beatles I think they were both quite commertial but do feel that Paul lost much edge sadly.

      "Paul was very, very interested in this and he still is...",
      that is what Klaus states here upon the question.
      It is common knowledge nowadays that -
      being the only one not yet married,
      living in London Town at the time,
      in spite of the others,
      who had their family lives outside London
      - Paul would hang around the clubs,
      visiting galleries and attending concerts
      of avant-garde music like from Cage, Berio and Stockhausen,
      always in research of new sounds and ways of expression.
      Surprisingly, his own compositions
      were always rather "conventional" throughout,
      whereas in his contributions to Lennon's songs
      he drew on plentiful resources of experimental stuff
      to shape them as they had become.
      As for being commercial:
      I think, that term is unfortunately chosen by Klaus.
      Paul wants affection, and he gives affection - by his catchy tunes;
      and that is commercially successful.
      John had the edginess - and needed affection too;
      together they were unbeatable.
      "Revolver" as their most experimental album
      was a huge commercial success.
      As soon as they went apart,
      something was missing - on both sides, tragically.
      Paul knows that - to this day; I'm pretty sure about that.

    It's impossible not to love Klaus Voormann. His intelligence, his honesty and his gentle nature set him apart as a key figure in the music decade 1963 to 1973. In addition to all that he is a fantastic artist.
