    Saw him in JJs Blues Cafe in Mountain View in the late 1980s and early 1990s....he came on the scene with this huge Cadillac right before 8pm and started whaling away - the guitar was an extension of his arm- He say there and howled and growled for 30 minutes or less and walked off- all I remember was he had more feeling with one chord than most did with many- it proved to me then that you don’t need to be Eddie Van Halen to be noticed - this man really gave me hope!

    I actually hate seeing him onstage in this condition. Delighted he found his well-earned financial success in his twilight years, but there's something quite sad about seeing a great man as an incoherent OAP being led around to do his "party trick".

      I disagree. If you knew anything about the blues you would know that it never leaves. It's in your soul. However it's obvious why you you don't know these facts.
