    Hi Monica. I just wanted to point out that I appreciate you adding the pop sound whenever you put up a text on screen. I work while listening to your videos and so the pop sound promts me to check on-screen text at that moment. So thank you for that❤❤❤❤

    what's the WILDEST weather situation you had at a vendor market?? The 102° heat was pretty brutal...but definitely not as bad as the one a did a couple winters ago where the real feel was 10°

      This past May we were about 1 hour away from shut down and a tornado went through about 4 miles south of us. I was in my tent with all the sides zipped up and a river of water was flowing between my tables. We had six vendors who lost their tents, but only two had damaged product. It was wild.

      This past weekend my tent fully lifted off the ground because of the wind 😭😭😭 I’ll take the heat any day

      It was wild! Also a classic NY move, AC's in indoor places were struggling with the heat wave. I was at an indoor market and it was warm 🤣 I also reached out to my 2 other small biz besties who were at other indoor markets with the same issues.

    Weird question, but if we buy a candle from you, burn it down and then clean out the container; is it possible to send it back to you and you can re-use it if it's in good condition? I just bought a cereal milk candle from your shop (i'd been meaning to for a while it sounds like such a nice candle) but my local waste disposal doesn't take glass anyways so we have to take it to a specialty place. But I wanted to know if this was possible, if you want you can jsut sell it back to me multiple times XD I just don't wanna throw out an entire glass or ceramic container that I'm worried will end up in a landfill ToT

    • @monicarazak
      @monicarazak  4 місяці тому +4

      I currently unfortunately don't take candle vessels back because I honestly don't have much time to coordinate that whole process. but it's on my small biz wishlist of services to offer:)

    • @gingerkingfisher
      @gingerkingfisher 4 місяці тому +1

      @@monicarazak Sad!! I'll hold onto it anyways in case you do one day once I've cleaned it out fully. Cause it's really nice material and I feel bad throwing it out ToT

    Love it! Also matching dress with the scrunchie is chefs kiss! I need to record myself setting up because I could totally tell the organized chaos going in your mind especially when it comes to table set up. Even when I have the set up in mind I am always seeing if there is a way I could organize it better that day while "racing" the clock 🤣 Love the new A frame you have I bet that attracts peoples eyes. Also so shocked on the pink polka dot tent so cute! Every time I rent it is always classic white, which is fine but just so cool to see not a classic white. 2cents on POS, I have square too as a backup because you can use it offline, but fees will be higher as you do get a reduced card transaction fee with Shopify's POS.

    I’ve been doing my pop up shop at an event that’s held each Thursday this summer, but with temps hitting 100 degrees, I have to bow out - it’s just too hot. I make handmade jewelry along with book markers, keychains and friendship bracelets for young children. My next events will be every Saturday in October and a two day indoor event for Christmas in November. But I also have my jewelry in four local shops with a fifth sometime this month. Love your videos -

    • @monicarazak
      @monicarazak  5 місяців тому +3

      I like choosing events that I've been to before as an actual customer and saw first hand how successful it can be! I also like picking events that some of my other vendor friends will also be at who have similar ideal customers as I do. At the end of the day, it's important to just do a BUNCH of markets when you're first starting out just to get some experience.

    • @monicarazak
      @monicarazak  4 місяці тому

      shopify tracks it all for me! I use the Shopify POS app, which connects to my Shopify online store, and it tracks all my sales and inventory. I would recommend using excel just to get started - but having any online store like shopify, squarespace, wix, etc will definitely be more efficient in the long run!
