My mom signed me up for a craft club every year since I'm ten, and there's sooooo many things I can do... except finish a project before starting another one. 😂
Side tip, I heard someone ask how much a candle was… you should add price tags/stickers to all your items. You can potentially be losing sales from people not feeling comfortable to ask you
Tip when you sell out: take custom orders. "You can pay your invoice here now and I can drop the candle off to you or mail it to you tomorrow or the next day"
This may be too personal of a question but I would be very interested in knowing more about your actual profits. I make clothes myself and I know the amount of money and time it takes to make things by hand. I stopped making things for other people because the time and money invested never outweighed the profit I made. I now only make things for myself. I understand making things and having a small business isn’t going to make us rich, and that we do it mostly for the creative outlet and the love of it; I would love to have more of an insight into the profits end of things.
you should do a video of how to make content at markets! what to film or take photos of, etc! also how to interact with customers ❤️ your videos have been so helpful, i have my first market this weekend!
Hey I'm watching from the UK and I find your channel v helpful, you're definitely making a positive difference for other small business owners! I'm preparing for my first market and its quite daunting thinking about all the things to remember, but I've made notes watching UA-cam videos so feel a bit clearer about how to prepare. Learning about other people's challenges and tips helps a lot. My main barriers are probably confidence, introversion and lower energy levels than outgoing extroverts but I think if I space markets out that will give me enough recovery time. Keep up the good work!
I definitely relate to having those barriers! especially the introvert personality. My best advice is to let your products speak for themselves, and know that you're doing something that a small fraction of people do - following your dreams:) that definitely motivates me. and I think spacing out markets is a good idea, I usually don't do more than 2 markets a month.
I do 1 day shows Only because I'm on disability and I don't think my body can take 2 days in a row. But I also just got into it after 9 years. I am nervous but very excited about doing them. I have 4 1 day's this year so far.
I thought your tent looked so good. Loved how colorful everything was - and glad you sold out! Lately, I have been bringing so much inventory with me (and cards / bags) better to have more than run out. You can always have leftover for the online sale or next pop up. I will be doing the Jersey City market in June - hope to meet you there!
It’s like when I prepared for a party I love to make extra food even if half of invites dnt come ! But, I rather have left overs than not enough so next time just believe in you’re self bring extra wetter you sell out or not so that way you don’t stress yourself 😊
I did not see this was just posted... WOW, thank you so much for making these videos!!!! I am tabling at my first event for my community organization at pride this year and even though im not vending any products this video is so so helpful!! Mahalo sis for real 🤙🏽
I again love your review of your show...I am also a real small small business. We have a pretty minimalist booth set up and have to remind myself what I have is enough/appropriate for what I'm doing...cause I've been going to some shows where people will reserve multiple booth spaces. haha
Hi I bought the same mirror you have. i did not want to spent too much on a mirror incase i broke i in the car to a market. anyways what did you use to hang it up? i noticed some vendors tie it to their clothing rack, but i like yours how its facing the public and gets people to stop in to your booth. Thanks. Love the videos and content.
omg thank u sooooooo much I'm a small business owner from Argentina and this month I'm having my 2nd pop up and I'm super nervous because I really want that my stand looks so beautiful and have a lot of sales. Your videos have been such a great help to me, thank u so much and I wish u the best with your small business (which is soon cute btw) 💗
I really admire that you put such positive messages everywhere ❤ I don’t make fashion stuff or candles, but as an artist want to look into doing something like this in the future. You make it seem less intimidating!
Love watching your videos. I do a monthly market with a food product that sells well and I’d love to do more but there are none others close. I’m so jealous you can walk to yours 😂
29:29 for my vinyl decals I add the instructions to the back of the stick/poly bag and I print them out with thermal mailer paper. That way every decal has their instructions on them

Relate much!!! 🤣😂
Same. I finally found out it’s because I have ADHD. Imagine all the projects I’d have done if I known for the past 40 years?!!
Ahhh yes, I’m familiar with the crafter’s curse as well! Lol

I was thinking the same thing. Or at least a ballpark estimate.
You shop looks so good! I never considered how much you’d need to bring to one of these, it’s kind of crazy 😮
