Thanks for the video! As a white boy living in Canada, Walkers Wood is a staple in my fridge! We do Jerk at least twice per month! Sadly we live in an apartment, so no BBQ. Oven does a decent enough job.
Its so expensive i usually only use a small spoonful. Its also so hot! And delicious! I brought at least 6 jars this summer we were grilling crazy! Wish i had a coupon
Could you please add an ingredients list and amount need for this jerk seasoning?? I know she said the amounts needed on some of the ingredients.. but not all of them
I stop use walkers Wood longtime, they change up the recipe too much and me prefer ginger in my jerk but I do a different jerk mix for pork and chicken
Funniest thing .The Maroons Hired my father to Appraise some lands that they own.We went in the Strong Holds of the Maroons and asked about Jerk.The Elders said they don't have any documents recorded of them doing Jerk. "But it makes a Great Story" "Ha, Ha, Haaaa!!!!!", The Elder Laughed.
No ginger, no soy sauce, coriander, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, no fish sauce? This is not the jerk flavor that anyone would recognize. I'm sure it tastes good, but there is a reason why the recipe was refined.
BigPete222 Jerk seasoning requires brown sugar, to begin with. What you think the isle slaves had for cooking??? Molasses, cheap cuts of meat, and spices.

You use pimento wood as it gives enhances the jerk flavor. Any other wood/coal will not give you perfect jerk flavor.
