I'm really sad that Koreans are coming here in the Philippines to learn in English while Filipinos go to their country to have work in companies etc..that's why they are underestimating us but it's okay, the most important is humbleness..GOD BLESS FILIPINOS🙏❤️🇵🇭🌏

BTW, I learned to speak English fluently in a Filipino accent but now I can imitate an American, a British, or an Aussie accent if needed. Don't waste any more time, learn to speak English as fast as you can, because with it you'll be able to get a better livelihood to help out your family.

I wish that the Philippine government starts helping the poor kids, to start giving them free education. When everyone is educated it will benefit the country and its economy. Also, they should teach the poor not to have many children if they can't afford to have big family. Education is the only way to get out of misery and poverty. I hope that i did not offend anyone with my comment.

That's because Koreans mostly study English in SoKor through the textbooks- answering written activities. Many South Koreans have forgotten or may have overlooked asking questions in English. Often , their teachers have to constantly remind them to avoid transliteration or translating word for word especially since for ex. the subj-verb-object order of English is different from that of Hangul. So, although many can ace an English grammar test, they have so much difficulty in articulation or verbal communication , mostly brought about by a world of difference in enunciating Hangul vs English. The mouth openings, tongue placements, etc are way different.

Since the University of the Philippines makes use of taxes collected from Pinoys that make matriculation artificially cheap, I think foreign students should have a non-subsidized rate. For one, the talent honed by such training oftentimes do not stay in the country and does not in any way contribute to building our economy.

Well, Filipinos pattern their teaching strategy based on the need and weak points of a student.. We are willing to go the extra mile even analyzing where a student's difficulty is coming from .. from there, we design a module that's simple and practical dealing with what the student needs and how best to explain things in the simplest manner..

don't worry guys if you don't able to speak English fluently.just because we aren't native speakers like american, british or australian. ESL country like us or singapore...English as Second Language in our country so it doesn't matter if we make mistakes when we speak in English...actually, there are diffireneces between spoken language and written language..spoken language is grammatically incorrect while written language it should be grammatically correct...hindi bale malimali as long as you can speak and understand the words of english. opinion ko lang...korean nga dito sa korea nahirapan kaya pumuntang pilipinas...pero hindi maiwasan ang discremination sa korea sa mga asian foreigners except sa mga western countries mataas tingin nila sa mga puti...pero may mababait din na korean yung mga educated people...

I think it's awesome that Koreans have the opportunity to go to the Philippines to learn English. Actually learning English here (American English) honestly I'd say it's difficult in my opinion unless you come at a young age because we really don't learn the proper English at our schools her as well as say another country where they really take the time to learn so they can teach the language. Here we take our English language for granted, and for a young adult coming here from another country

It's also important we maintain the Filipino language (or whatever dialect you're familiar with). I hate to see the Philippines to be fully westernized, even if I reside in a westernized country (North America). I don't want the Filipino language to disappear like the pre-colonized Filipino alphabet or writing. I think it would truly be sad if we lost that part of our culture.

This 2018, BAYBAYIN BILL is now in the Philippine Congress. It aims to declare Baybayin as the national script of the Philippines. The bill mandates to put a Baybayin translation under all business and government logos. It also mandates all primary and secondary schools to teach Baybayin to their students, a move that would save the ancient script from pure extinction and revitalize the indigenous writing roots of Filipinos.

It is UP we talking about so there is no doubt . UP is the best . When you are attending or studied in UP in our Country it is a great achievements because you are considered as a very intelligent person with an I.Q above others. Only the (A) student can apply for a scholarship and your grade must be maintained 1.25 1.50 1.75 or Flat 1 if you have a 2 grade that's a disaster the school going to kick you out or give you more project so you can make up your grades honestly 2 flat is not a bad grade but in UP that's not good enough and it is something ashamed of because many people can see your grades and your ranking on the billboard . I am very proud to those who graduated in UP with flying colors they deserve it . Its hard to study when you are poor we have to try harder because our best is not enough when all the struggles and hindrances are in our way. Lucky for those who have money to pay for their tuition fees and extra curricular activities but they not see whats the importance of studying they just concern about shopping and clubbing e.t.c . They just spend the fortune of their family on such things that will give them happiness and they don't think about the future sadly just like me.. 😢😢😢 I am very sorry for my Family . But i will do my best and push my limits to make my life better so i Will not a burden to both of you. So for all the student there please study hard before do anything you want always think whats you in the future told. I am sorry inay, itay for dissapointing you guys I will say sorry even though your not going to saw it, this is my way for apologizing . Everybody has a pride but anyways i will say this to you on the right time when i am fully grown up and successful like you always dreamt of .

Foreign students were not a recipient of any government subsidy,(dapat lang di ba) they paid their tuition fees as to what like any private Universities, even Pinoy students who are rich, pay their tuition, it's by bracket, when I was working at Prudential life UP was belong to a category of ECU- exclusive colleges and universities, meaning UP is one of the Universities having a high tuition fees. That's why there are some mediocre admitted because they can afford. The real State University of the Philippines is P.U.P..

True. Kaya nga required yung mga bagong call center agents na magsalita ng english in and out of the office para mahasa. Ganyan din ang nangyayari sa mga koreans na dumadayo dito. Inside and outside of school kailangan nilang magsalita ng english so eventually, matutoto silang gamitin ito. When I was in elementary, don't even know my forward and backward.

Another issue with SoKor and English - is that their shows, Tv/radio ads and the foreign movies and series are either dubbed or subtitled in Hangul. To learn a language in a speedy manner, they need to do a cultural or total immersion- everything in English ! Koreans only speak to and among themselves when they're in a foreign country. This prolongs their learning time . I noticed that they have and or they build small Korean towns wherever they go -literally filled with Korean restos, Korean banks, even Korean laundry.

.. in korea.. they learn English in school.. how about when they are outside their school? they speak korean. Here in the Philippines.. they can practice what they have learned in school.

Yeah, there are already thousands of Koreans living here in the country. Most of them for the cheap English education, while the others chose to settle because of marriage and business. One place where a lot of Koreans live is at BF Homes Subdivision in Paranaque. Everyday you could see Korean teenagers waiting in line to ride the jeepney and when they talk with each other, they've got pretty loud voices! hehe I guess its the enthusiasm.

Anyway to be honest many Chicago nurses & doctors are Filipinos mostly from Visayas region and NONE of them are UP graduates...My friends are saying their grades are wasay (70's) & they made it to the States & other part of the world. they will definitely learn the language, but when the 'black and white' of everything came in, discrimination will follow. Some people who thought they are superiors, always look at the negative side of the statement. And i wonder if the accent is the problem or is it the comprehension of the listeners itself. When i am being told to speak English when i am speaking English, specially if that person knows no other language, and they act like they own the world. Ang saya lang po.

I think Its not about just quality education that they're after,at first they came here to study english, and when they experience how filipino teachers teaches the filipino students,(which by the way if you compare it to other countries, here in the Phil,teachers/professors are way way more nicer),and they feel no pressure so they decided to stay here.cause as far as i know, one of the reason why SUICIDE is high in other asian countries is because of the pressure being a student.correct me if i'm wrong

How can you speak English if you don't use it literally right? Don't ask your self why you have poor English communication, it is because we are not native speaker. And besides you have to read a books orally to enhance your vocal in pronouncing the words. Make reading orally as your habit and I'm sure it really work it. :)
