Wow. I’m speechless…you’re like that Bob Ross who makes it look so easy…
My family spent a few days around New Year’s day in Tokyo, and there I got a totally new perspective on skating. So here it goes…
We went to Tokyo’s Disneyland for a day, my kid’s first time at a Disney, and my first in 30 years! Our first ride was Space Mountain, a roller coaster ride in complete darkness which I remember being scared to death back then. But things have changed since then…now I’m so used to sharp turns and ups and downs (from skating!) that the ride felt like a breeze! We took another roller coaster ride that had reviews as “the most thrilling in all of Disneyland.” During the ride, my kid and I literally looked at each other and shrugged at each other while others were screaming like crazy. Yes, skating has made us immune to roller coasters.
But the real joy was the 2+ hours waiting in line for the rides. Kid was staring to feel a bit cold in the afternoon so I gave her my jacket. She was worried that I might be shivering. But nope, all the hours spent at the rink made me immune to cold as well! Still, she wanted to make sure her daddy was okay, so she gave me hugs every 5 minutes. Yes, the time spent waiting in line is what I will treasure from this trip forever. ❤
My souvenir from the trip is a Monster Inc. themed popcorn bucket which I’m thinking of using as my rink wall bag. My wife is telling me not to do it, but of course I’m doing it since all I need to put in a wall bag are a few pairs of gloves, and the bucket seems to do perfect.

Thank you very much for this video! This season I just rhinestoned a t'shirt I bought for my son's costume. Now I see that I could do more with it. Great ideas! I sent your video to other boys' moms.

@CoachJulia definitely. You have. Now I just need to make a little time and be brave to start it. Sometimes, cutting fabric makes me a little anxious. 😅
