It's taken me 2 years as of today to achieve 42 Oz of silver and 2 grams of gold. Not particularly impressive, but I'm in it for the long haul and I know it'll keep building. Thanks to Silver Dragons for the inspiration to keep moving forward:)
Currently sitting at 31 ounces (sentimentally valuable coins) after taking advantage of the recent high spot price and selling most of my stack. I'm waiting for prices to come back down (fingers crossed for sub-$20) when I plan on reinvesting.
You do what you can. My stacking story. Started selling excess snails from my aquariums to others who needed them. Figured it was like "found money" that I had not really worked for and put every penny into silver. 3 years later... and I am still at it. At first, it was just 3-5 oz per week. Now, some weeks, I buy as much as a kilo in silver... all from the sale of snails. It also keeps me dollar cost averaging, as the price fluctuates. It is savings... literally at a snail's pace.
@@nunquamdormint Its not like I am trying to spam the site with my info... I was trying to answer your DIRECT QUESTION. But I can't even do that... THIS CENSORSHIP ERA MUST END

"If more people valued food and cheer above hoarded gold it would be a merrier world". I am stacking for sure as it seems the wise thing to do but i am also reminded that we cannot serve both God and money. In the end, my stack is not what i live for even though i do love how shiny it is 😅 keep stacking and stay well

And that's the only way I get silver. Starting late in life at 62, loving it. Kids appreciate it too, knowing I'm lessening the junk their gonna be cleaning out when we go.
I honestly prefer the off the cuff style of commentary. I felt like the audio quality was better as well. And I like this advice. My wife and I spend ~$450 / month on cigarettes. I've been trying to quit for years, but just can't seem to kick it. I was just putting this out there so folks can see what kind of capital can be raised just by reducing the cost of a habit.
I remember SilverfishVT. I used to correspond with him pretty regularly, but I think he thought UA-cam was taking away too much from his family time, and he did the right thing by prioritizing that over this. Having said that, I miss his content, and I wish he'd have decided to still be occasionally active and putting up a video here or there over time. When he left, it was a pretty significant loss to the community. You did a good job doing a video with no editing. Keep stacking!
Touched by your honesty and appreciate all the time and effort you put in to your video’s Silver Dragons! I started stacking january this year, so far 17 ounce of silver and 1,25 ounce gold! Taking it month by month, You’re an example I gladly follow. Thank you! 😊
Really enjoy your videos and your commentary. I have started stacking again for the first time in several years since I got very sick and could not even afford an ounce. Now I'm working to encourage my children to start investing in silver, and gold one day! I never knew they would be so excited and find interest in it like I do. You are an inspiration and encouragement for my family and I to invest again!
You are so lucky to a shop with so many excellent people knowing the precious metal business. I've been stacking for about 2 years and always stack what I like.it's been working out for me and I love my stack. Stay strong brother 💪

SilverfishVT is one of the primary catalysts that got me into stacking ! I watched ALL of his videos back in the day.
Great single take, SD! Who cares if you called EBay “Eb”? That’s what makes it fun. What none of us listeners could do was talk this long on any subject and keep folks interested and more passionate about what we all love. Thanks and appreciate you and all you do for us.
Great video, as always. I just got into stacking a couple of monts ago. I quit smoking and took that money and been buying silver. It's amazing how fast the stack grows. Anywho, great advice!
quit smoking what? i hope you did not quit smoking weed. Worth more than it's weight in silver. You gotta live for today, know what I mean , man. Tomorrow is never promised. What if the good lord takes you away soon. what good is your silver going to do you? and how do you know if your kids, if you have any, will know what to do with it . have you taught you children well?
Man this sounds just like me and my grandfather so much we collected cans and scrap metal to go coin shopping. Man dragon you bring back a lot of memories for me lol thank you.
That was fun. I agree all the things we do should be in moderation. Goal setting is key. Setting goals on how much and how fast and for what reason is important.
I mostly buy silver bars mostly fives and 10 ounces in plain silver rounds. But I love a good old wooden ship design/pirate ship design silver rounds. They just look so clean.
Fine! You talked me into it! 😂 I'm going to start stacking on monday! I got a 5gr bar of gold when I graduated high school over 25 yeats ago, and that could have been the start, if I knew better. I passed it along to my goddaughter, when she graduated about 5 years ago. But I know she appreciates it as much as I did getting it back in the day. Just have to start from scratch I guess. 😊
Selling my old Magic The Gathering cards that are $$$ cards to start my silver stacking. MTG is a fun game but a horrible investment. Plus working at a Credit Union I met a Gold and Silver stacker who I help out with his banking and he gives me the best advice on Silver stacking. Plus you also give really awesome advice, making my journey in May to start my silver journey.
Once again, a great video. When an ounce of gold cost $1800, I bought one and had $420 left. Back then, I bought silver with that money, but I probably should have invested in gold instead. My only regret is those ounces, as I usually only buy numismatics or junk silver, so I hardly have to pay any premiums. But it doesn't really matter because even though I haven't experienced as much appreciation as with gold, at least I've preserved my money.
My pops was a serious musician, and so was I. I remember asking my Dad at an early 20's age. "How am I ever going to afford a real American Les Paul and a real Marshall tube amp"? He said well.... How bad do you want it? Would you eat ramen noodles? I said "YES!". That's probably how I ended up here. I was never wealthy financially. I had to work super hard for everything. If you want it put in the work. Period! My stack isn't as impressive as many of yours, I'm sure, but I have one. If you stack it, they will keep coming. And please remember to have fun with it. Can't take this stuff when you're gone. However nice to know you have something to leave behind for at least one person you deem worthy. By the way, I checked out Silver Stacker and threw him a thumbs up. From the great state of Texas, cheers! 🍻
I Like your message about stacking coins you like! I've been telling everyone to do that on my Channel as well! Hopefully I can get that BIG stack as you say before the prices skyrocket 😵
I started a new job 2 years ago that pays well but no retirement plan is offered. After 1st year realizing cash savings is to easy to access and spend on whimsical things, I'm now for the last 12 months investing the same 10% that would be put into a 401k into Silver, my stack is growing nicely.
Great Advice Silver Dragons! Hopefully people, especially young people will realize how much $ is wasted away on things that don't last or retain its value. For my Birthday recently I told my hubby I'd rather go to Harry's Coin Shop to pick up some silver instead of going out for a fancy meal and so we did that. 😊
A neighbor when I was kid, would give a silver dollar to every graduate of the local two year college, "your first dollar as a college graduate." Finally he ran out of pre-1964 silver dollars and started giving out ASEs. For years he gave over 1000 ounces per year. Also, for all the teens in the neighborhood when they received recognition in the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts or for community service or anything like that to better themselves or the community, he'd also give them a silver dollar (don't know if he switched to ASEs for them). Then when I got married, an uncle gave me a couple of 1 oz silver rounds. These gifts made a deep impression on me. I still have the silver I received. I had a hint at how important coins were. As a child in my neighborhood there was an estate auction and it brought people in like flies because the guy had a huge coin collection in the sale. I sold parking in my yard for a quarter a car (wish I would have put all those quarters into silver or gold back then). My Dad came home and wondered why there was some ruts in the yard :)
If your in it for the long run, you'll become financially free very quick. I've just recent started stacking and never have saved so much money. I buy 10oz silver and 1/10th oz gold every 2 weeks. Sometimes 10oz silver and 1/4oz gold. Depending on pricing and my pay for those 2 weeks ect
Great job on the video! It's funny but I had been thinking about the very thing you were touching on in this video. What I could do to stack more silver and gold? What could I give up to collect more? I'm a poker player, playing a few less tournaments per month would get me anywhere from 5 to 10 ounces...depending on where the silver price is sitting. Love the dragon collection as well.👍
Must be nice to have so much silver that you can categorize it into separate containers. I only started stacking two months ago and I was glad to see a couple of the dragon and Komodo lizard coins/rounds that I have purchased recently in your stash.
First you need to define what a big silver stack is. The you tuber who inspired me was Silver Slacker. Also International Silver. I got to my goals mostly by buying small amounts weekly and I got lucky in 2020 and used my whole 401k to buy silver after taxes. Had a few crypto windfalls too I used. The only drawback was I never had a lot of cash so had to do without stuff but I am happy for the results.
Great video for one take, enjoyed listening whilst fondling my much much smaller stack in a box lol definitely agree on the cool stuff, personally I use silver as both savings and an outlet for my consumerism urges so the occasional unique or rare piece is worth a heavier premium, still enjoy good deals on junk silver though, want to fill a small treasure chest by 25.
This was such an inspiring video! Thank you! ❤️ Even the "Ebee" 😂 misspelling just added cuteness to the whole thing. Im not a big stacker, as I have just started last year. But i must say that buying silver has been therapeutical for me, without realising. It shifted that consumerism mentality that was bringing me a feeling of uselessness after a few days, to a mentality of purpose. If i have to spend days of my life working so i can aford rent and food, at least sone of that now goes to silver = savings. Thank god you cant " impuls" spend silver in shops now days 😂😂😂
Even if you can only stack one mercury dime a month, just do it! Don’t get discouraged by other’s huge stacks! -DS
it's not the size of your stack matters....but how well you resist swapping it for monopoly money.
I agree, even if you add one mercury dime a quarter once in a while is major progress. Little by little the stack will grow!
Sounds like a euphemism for locker rooms. LOL
Stack what you can. I do 50 ounces a month by cutting back on useless unnecessary spending. Just set a goal and go for it as you can.
@ranger569h7 absolutely, sometimes cut a few things from the day and use that money for some metals! I agree with your method, I do the same myself!
It's taken me 2 years as of today to achieve 42 Oz of silver and 2 grams of gold.
