    Hey there everyone. I'm a new stacker as of a year ago and just wanted to say I finally hit my original goal of 100oz of silver and 1oz of gold. Keep stacking everyone and to the beginners out there, have faith and play it smart, utilize your local coin shops if you can and thank you silver dragons for being a gear in that cog that got me moving on precious metals ...

    Wanted to share about SD Bullion. I ordered a silver Patton coin the day they went on sale. Had it sent USPS. It tracked all the way to my home town post office then it went missing. Called customer service and they told me that it had to sit idle for 5 days before they can do anything. Called back when told and they started the process. I expressed concern that by the time it was resolved, they would be sold out of the coins. Victoria in cust. service told me she would get one pulled aside. Sure enough by the time it was resolved, the coins where sold out. True to her word, they had kept one for me which I received yesterday. Thank you Victoria and SD Bullion!

    You're going to laugh...June 6th 2021 was the first day I bought silver and spot price was $27.91 and premiums were $5.00 for the silver buffalo's I bought...smiles...back then I thought it was a bargain...then after going up to $29.00 and change it started going down...but for some crazy notion I kept buying each time it dipped all the way down to $17.48...and every pull back on the way back up...until spot hit $24.41 which was my last purchase...and now I am smiling...because spot went over $28.00 and premiums are cheaper than when I began stacking...and have profit in all the silver I've purchased since I've started and then some...because I did buy 90% of my silver under $23.00 an oz ...and grateful that I listened to the spirit that told me to buy 30 pieces of silver in the first place...smiles

    Nice video. Pretty much hit most of my stacking strategy. In addition to sovereign, rounds, bars, and constitutional I'm a life long US type coin collector.
    I've been working on the youngest generation sparking interest in the hobby.
    For me it was natural, I had my grandpa, two of his brothers, and my dad who were all collectors, and there were no electronic devices to compete with back then. I was hooked the first time I held a Morgan Dollar in my hand, and felt the weight of it. I knew I was holding real money, not just a piece of green paper.
    In any event, the endgame for me is to pass it down in the family.

Snagged a bunch of silver American eagles / maples / bars after finding channels like yours a couple weeks ago (good timing!), along with a gold Kruger.
    Happy to see the old guard and the new guard (commodities) have so much in common. I just wish more gold & silver bugs were accepting of BTC and vice versa. We’re all on the same team IMO. The anti fiat establishment.

    The best thing I've learned from you is understanding what premiums are, when to, and what to buy? There have been times where I like a product because it's unique artistry. The downside is my tendency is to say; I will keep this always without just saving for potential barter needs. Kinda like being a greedy horder, but not really? I just need to keep my feet on the ground and be practical and not just enamor the piece for it's beauty. 😆 Anyway you look at it, I've learned more about stacking whereas my older goals were purely numismatic. I think junk silver is the way to go. If you look at how quick the value went up last year around March compared to the other options, it’s a no brainer. The more the population continues to wake up the more it becomes hard to get and the more valuable it gets. Get it now while you can.

  • @thomaskaiser1957

    When buying junk silver quarters I recommend checking out modern silver proof coins. You can grab a roll modern uncirculated silver proof quarters for close to the same price as a roll of heavily circulated pre 65' quarters that hold no numismatic value. To me its a no brainer, you can dump modern uncirculated silver proof quarters for $10+ on live auctions all day.

    A few thoughts/questions (possibly to be updated)
    - Are buffalos made by the US mint? Do they have more value to other rounds?
    - It seems like it isn’t just bars but greater bulk in general that has lower premiums based on what I see from ebay sellers. (the good ones) a 10oz bar has the same premium as that of 10 coins, and a tube has a slightly lower premium than just one coin. I’ve mainly been buying RCM silver though so I don’t know if that’s everywhere.

    In the Netherlands, there is an extra tax on the silver bars of 21%..... On coins there isn't any, that's because the .999 coins have a ''face value''. This way, the coins are valuta instead of a silver investment object. This tax on the silver bars (Ii.e. silver without a face value) is because it is nowadays more used as an intermediate rather than an investment good. Therefor in the Netherlands it is in any case more obvious to invest in silver .999 coins then in bars. On average you pay $1150 for a 1kg silver bar (including tax and fee).......

    I started a year ago and if I left it in the bank,impulse buying would have eaten up all of it but I put it in silver and gold and out of a total of $30,203.00 ,I now have a value of $35,982.00 so I made over $5 grand in interest! I am now 60 and got a late start but I am a healthy and active person so I will probably be around in 20 years so I am stacking for the future. I got in around $21 per ozt so looking at that $29 mark makes me feel good! I made sure to get a variety but most of my silver is made by a government mint. Maples,ASE’s, and Krugerrands and RCM 10 ozt bars. I also got some other ten ozt bars but I try to make them all the same,like ten rcm bars and seven and working on ten sunshine bars and magnificent maples are going to be my last one to collect. I have one so now I have to get nine more ! I have to have a even ten of each type I buy!😅 I even got ten five ozt cast poured nine fine mint bars in those little orange boxes! I also got ten two ounce scottsdale stackers with a fiver thrown in to make it a even 25. I use that and the tube of rands to match with the nine fine bars to make another even 100 ozt. I’m well over 600 and getting close to 700 really soon! Even got some silver Deutchmarks that my grandmother and great aunties used when they were young before the end of the war. I have some numismatic stuff and in my piggybank I found a couple of 1983 pennies that weighed 3.1 grams and I was told they were worth a lot of money. Now I have to look through all of them again because I only pulled out the 1982 and earlier ones for the copper valve. But I swear I weighed at least two 1983 ones that weighed 3.1 grams!😅😅

    Hi Silver Dragons. I enjoy your videos and have learned much about stacking from you. I know it is a popular position to talk about buying junk silver just in case we will need to barter for goods and services in the future. I think it is noteworthy to point out that the USA economy is the engine that runs the world. The strength and integrity of the US dollar is the benchmark of the world economy. Stacking any precious metals for the expressed purpose of barter is an exercise in futility. Buying coins for their collector value can be a sticky wicket unless you are very knowledgeable on the subject. Bullion is simple to figure out and to keep track of. Bullion premiums are the lowest and that is where you will get the best return on your investment. Just my opinion and thanks for the great videos.

    -1966 Round 50cent coins are 80% silver (Fun bit of history these)
    Silver Rounds::
    Perth Mint 1oz Kangaroo's are technically a coin, but they're typically our cheapest round.
    Perth Mint occasionally produce a 1oz bar with a lower premium than the 1oz roo
    Bars::
    Perth Mint stopped producing the 10z bars. If you want something in this size be prepared to get a less-known Aussie brand like an XAG Intrinsic tender, ABC, Peter W Beck or whatever buyback is in stock.

    Dragons if you ever get the chance it would be awesome to see you speak to Matt Thompson from here in Australia, he primarily deals in numismatics but he works at a bullion shop and he does youtube

      Exactly why I'm telling people on here not to buy now. I bought mine all for under 23 and could sell at a profit but will hold it awhile prolly at least til next year. Doubt it gos much higher befor it drops awhile maybe next year it hits 30

    IF it ever comes to barter, then dimes, quartes & 50 cent would be best.

    If it's free, junk silver is great. But for your hard earned cash, pure, real silver with no bs is best.

    Yes, Junk Silver will be great for trading, or you buy Bars(Cheapest Option) and in a time of Economic Disaster, you melt down those Bars into Silver Pearls. This can be done with a simple Soldering Iron. I recommend only doing this with one Bar at a time.

    Maybe touch on bars vs vintage bars - I see that vintage bar can have quite a premium- great video

    I know there's more of a premium, but I'm also adding fractional silver like grams. Not a lot but a little.

      Just buy constitutional 90%. It’s the best fractional for potential bartering.

    If I have $800 to spend would you recommend I get a bunch of eagle silver coins with that much or get a single large bar for that price?

  • @Camaraa
    @Camaraa 9 місяців тому

    The thing about junk silver is the premium is just too high so your not paying spot price: your paying much higher

  • @SpongeBobby-h2w
    @SpongeBobby-h2w 9 місяців тому

    It would be nice to be able to afford to buy just eagles. Yet, if the price of silver goes way up, getting spot price on bars or rounds is fine with me
