Very good compare. So Jordan what do you use rather on weddings? Natural profile or v log? If u need to get 2 stops overexposure your footage by vlog, u need to push your iso much higher than natural, often above than 4000 sometimes right?
Thanks Jakub! I use a modified Natural profile for weddings (taking the contrast down to -5, and saturation down to -3), for that exact reason of not always being guaranteed the option to shoot at least one stop over. I'd rather shoot with an 0EV in Natural and be sure I'll be getting clean footage (up to 1600 anyway) :)
@@JordanLeeVideo How does Natural do when over 1600? I'm thinking of upgrading to a S1 or S5 from a GH5 mainly for lowlight (weddings). I usually shoot CineD or Natural. I often have to shoot at 3200-6400 iso
@@digital.mente. I've had mixed results when it comes to more candid capture with the S1, and where you might not be able to light your subjects such as weddings. I've had a few instances where the shadows in some clips are surprisingly noisy at values such as 2000 and 3200. Of course the shadows can be dropped a little to remove that noise. On any areas that are 'lit' (purposely or ambient), noise levels are impressive in those areas 👍
Thank you Luca! Yeah it's definitely one of my favourites! I'd love to test the HLG mode a little more as an alternative to Cine-D, but I feel like I'm just so used to the processes of grading Natural footage :|
Unfortunately no change. It does however allow you the option to shoot only at native ISOs in V-Log which technically means you can only shoot clean imagery. Personally I find the low light already very impressive for a camera of this price, and considering its one of Panasonics first full frame cameras.
Awesome test :) can't wait for 2.0 update for S1
Thank you! It's going to make it EPIC 😀
I did enjoyed the video, Jordan!
Thanks a mil 😊
You're absolutely welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
AMAZING VIDEO!!! Well done m8!!! Can't wait to see more content from ya :)

Great video. I have an S1 and still trying to get V-Log right. I absolutely love shooting in HLG it’s so easy. I just wish it was a higher bitrate
Thanks very much! HLG is still something I need to try, actually! Heard good things about it!
thats how you do a low light test! great work!

Great video Jordan! The Natural profile is a great safe choice to avoid noise, but I don't like the pinky look of it :D

my brother has a .. very great camera 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks man! I'm loving it more and more the longer I have it!
Did the firmware update change any low light performance
