We still like #2 the best from the last video--the big one with 6 bedrooms, although #5 was very nice, too. Looking forward to seeing which one y’all end up getting! 🥰🙏
I'm still #5. The 3 houses today each had 1 or 2 good points but not enough to put them in contention. The last house today was having an identity problem. I saw modern, Victorian, and Colonial designs elements. The floors made the house not flow. The tile in front of the fireplace could be hidden with a large rug. But I am still team #5.
I'm still liking #5 for it's location, style, size and charm. Corner lot is a plus. No neighbors right outside your window. Maybe another walk through and sit in each room a few minutes and picture yourself there.
I think you will know at once walking in. Picking a house is such a personal experience, I think they sotto you. The one that speaks to you is right. It's a matter of time, don't settle wait for the one that speaks to you. I know that can be tough, but it's worth the wait
Really enjoying tagging along with you guys & learning a lot about my likes/dislikes too 💁♀️ 👍. Everything in Texas really is BIG! Sending good vibes your way you’ll soon find “the one” 🏡! (Did like #5 of the previous video.)
Good luck, guys. Yeah, I would weigh the commute. When Linda & I moved to our present home 7 years ago, we knew the drive would be rough, BUT the peaceful wildlife sanctuary on the lake would be worth it. Therefore, I don't go anywhere because of the drive, but live in a peaceful bubble. The drive is fine at first, but eventually, you get tired of it. Think of: will family & friends want to travel all that way to see us, etc. Just examples that have come up with the commute, BUT well worth the peace. 🩷🩷
I actually liked these houses. They had their pros and cons. I liked #3 with the garage being the perfect UA-cam room. I liked the room with the built-in shelves too. Can always change the flooring which is less expensive than windows. How much time do you spend in bedroom to make a difference, IDK. Would be great if you could pick all pros to you and put in one. It's gonna be hard to find a house after seeing #2 and #5 . So many decisions but I'm sure you two will know when you find it and really speaks to your heart. TFS
I don’t know the size of your family or the ages of your children but if they’re near graduation ages or close to it, they’ll probably be going out on their own eventually. You’ll be left with a huge house to keep up or have to sell and down size. The bigger the house the more work it takes for up keep. Those windows you like are very pretty but a headache to clean. You have to clean each one individually. Ugh! Can I just say, bigger isn’t always better. I have a 13 room home on 5 acres in NW Indiana and it’s constant work. I am SO ready to downsize. I hope you find the perfect home for your family.
None of these compare to #2 and #5 from your previous video. It’s time to decide. Stop looking at houses. You’ve found your house. David will go with either. Bless him. Tammy, you keep saying #2 is bigger. The question is do you really need 6 bedrooms and a formal living? It’s not a good buy if it’s unused space you must keep cool. I’m concerned about utility bills to cool 3600 square feet in hot Houston. Could be a budget buster especially until you replace the old windows. #5 has more character and plenty of space for a sewing room, toy or craft room, guest room and a nice big playroom upstairs where you could have a sleeper sofa. David can use the breakfast area for his office or one of the upstairs rooms. The kitchen is more updated with granite countertops and that cool window. It has a big dining room. Love that green bar and the toilet nearby for company. Love the fireplace. The lot is great. Love the diamond windows. It’s closer to family. Does the size of #2 outweigh all the other pluses of #5? Will you use all those rooms? Do you want to spend the $ to furnish that huge house? If the answer is yes, then buy #2. They’re both nice houses. You can’t go wrong. Decide this weekend and put your offer in on Saturday or Sunday to beat others. Thanks for including us. Fingers crossed! 😊
I know time is a factor but someone else suggested that you buy land and build a house that would be your dream house and something with everything that you want. I have friends who did that and they said the expense was very comparable and I believe it took about 3 months to finish. Then you’d have to see where you would stay until then. They moved into a new neighborhood in East Texas in a town called Whitehouse. That is far from y’all, but you might check into something like that. Somehow they don’t have an HOA which is surprising but nice. 😊
I agree with the others. Pass on these and please don’t just settle on a house. Look at some more, the right one is out there waiting for you. My only suggestion is to stay out of flood zones and HOA’s.😊
I didnt care for any of these houses. I might suggest you adjust your thinking on what you need though. It seems your still in the mindset of fitting your old house into the new one. Unfortunately its a total fresh start. So, you do have a chance to do things differently. Also, this may not be your dream house you pick. You could make one your dream house or stay in it a few years and look for a more ideal home to come on the market.
Not #1 today #2 I liked the brick and the windows. The closets were nice. The sitting room was nice. #3 Floor was different.Too many turns into different rooms. Master bath left a lot to be desired.
Ugh… the first video was more inspiring. Believe me, I know how daunting house hunting can be. I’m assuming that your area doesn’t have many true mid century homes, idk. I’m now going to look back at your original video. 😊
@@BecauseItsCoollove to see the one that went under contract right away. Pick location that will work for you day in and day out. If you have grandchildren to transport regularly you might want to keep that in mind. I wish we lived closer to grandchildren. Again good luck!
When I looked at the listing for the house of many floors it was hard to visualise. Now I know why 😒. Nothing made your eyes smile today so these are a nope!
Did not like any of these. The one with different floors makes me think they used remnants for re-flooring. Like Tammy, I myself like built-ins. Did not like the scary second floor either. You will know it when the right one screams! It doesn’t have to be perfect but rather have realistic possibilities.
I’m personally a ranch style house person. Lot of work hauling things up and down the stairs. Not a fan of all the “white” in houses nowadays. Takes away from the character of homes imo.
Did not like any of these for you. I still love #5. The only downside to previous house #2 were the pine trees (and location). But if both of you are happy with that, then #2 was wonderful
Yikes, none of these houses are up to what you've seen before. IDK if your market is NOW a time when there is an average amount , an over amount or a low amount of houses available , and I get that you need to settle on a place, BUT I would advise you to spend a few more weeks/month looking.
I think y’all should stop looking and decide on 2 and 5. You said it might not be your forever home so I don’t think there’s any need in continuing to look for the perfect house. 5 would probably be the better investment just based on looks and the corner lot.
Zip zilch nadda 👎Did not like any of these houses 🏡. Still sticking with #5 from last video. You and David will hopefully come to a mutual decision on a home soon. Happy thrifting and house hunting.🤗
Ugh. Houses in Texas and ugly and very poorly laid out. Lots of wasted spaces and none of these were at all interesting. Of course, i am an old house person so that disqualified me with these boxes.
The cute, stylized bungalows are just too small for what we’re looking for or just too expensive in very old Houston neighborhoods unfortunately. There are cute listing of older style homes. I will drop a link as an example s.hartech.io/mB9n53ZPS9q3
I can’t get House #5 out of my mind from the last video -today was a bust - no cozy vibes in these three houses!
No to all 3 today. I'm still loving #5 last video. Good luck!

Nooooo - none of those ! The other video - House #2 #2#2#2 is great !!! ❤❤❤ Love you and Jack Jack !

I agree
Loved #2 for you as soon as I saw it! Built ins and great size rooms!😍

Speak spell checker sucks
Forgot to say the last house looked like a showroom for different types of flooring and I believe that house had 3 different colors on 3 appliances

I didn't like any of these houses. I still love house #2 & #5 from your last video. I think you should go for #2!!!
We agree!🥰🙏

These houses were nice, but I didn't see them spark any joy in either of you. I'm still loving "the big house" aka #2 from last time!
Sticking with #5. It has size, MCM features, closer location, and to me, it felt more homey than #2. Good luck!

Agree, no winners today. The floors in the last one...mercy! Still agree with #2 or #5.
Lol

We’re already empty nesters and TamTam just wants a big house. :)
It sure makes you aware when additions or remodels are done. 6 types of flooring is usually a big indicator.
It could also be just an indication of limited budgets and bad taste.

I’m with you,Kathleen!
The only house I liked was #2 and even then only the downstairs. I didn't like the yard either. Thanks for sharing!

I like no 3 but there would need to be floor renovations

#5 is still my favorite 🤩 but it’s not up to me!!
#5 is my favorite too,Darling.
Your SEATBELT!!! How can you forget that, especially with it beeping?
Not #1 today #2 I liked the brick and the windows. The closets were nice. The sitting room was nice. #3 Floor was different.Too many turns into different rooms. Master bath left a lot to be desired.
Pick the house where you get more for you money
Sorry but none of the three felt homey today. Still like 2 from the first group of houses
Seatbelt Tammy 😂!
1 was a no; 2 how would you get furniture upstairs and 3 was to chopped up. Still big house or corner whichever you choose to call home.
I still stick with #5
So how much more would a new build be? At least you could get everything you want that way.
Ugh… the first video was more inspiring. Believe me, I know how daunting house hunting can be. I’m assuming that your area doesn’t have many true mid century homes, idk. I’m now going to look back at your original video. 😊
The “true mcm” homes are few and far between. I will send you a link of one we didn’t even get to look at because it was under contract immediately.
@@BecauseItsCoollove to see the one that went under contract right away. Pick location that will work for you day in and day out. If you have grandchildren to transport regularly you might want to keep that in mind. I wish we lived closer to grandchildren. Again good luck!

Who designs some of the homes out there? I did not like any of the last 3. They all seem to have issues.
When I looked at the listing for the house of many floors it was hard to visualise. Now I know why 😒. Nothing made your eyes smile today so these are a nope!

Not a fan but just bits and pieces like the pane windows.
Today's houses 🤮. I still like house #2 the best. I feel it has more space and is more accommodating to what you 2 want.

No house 2
Not a fan of todays! Still on the original #2🤷🏻♀️
That house is too big for two people!!
Ugh. Houses in Texas and ugly and very poorly laid out. Lots of wasted spaces and none of these were at all interesting. Of course, i am an old house person so that disqualified me with these boxes.
