Word of warning, the shock wave of completing a machine WILL break open nearby Dreadnought cocoon. Also tip for the OMEN, the Radial Pulse-Gun pad is ALWAYS on the opposite side of the core infuser so you can always start with that annoying bit.
Is it really?! Thank you! My partner and I loathe that infuser event because of that one section (we play haz 5) so we try to find out which one it is and prioritize it. Thank you for this info fellow dwarf! Rock and stone
I found out the dread one the hard way and any time we're on elimination and have a nearby event i always suggest doing the dread first so we have recovery time after the event rather than going right from event to dread. But hearing about the omen one is interesting I'll keep that in mind. As i always try to target the pulse gun first even if i have to use see you in hell for it.
For the omen modular exterminator, I’ve learned that you can put a supply drop next to two of the identification platforms, and mully on the third. You can stand on them to avoid the purple laser cutters and also it will still identify you. I struggled with this one solo for ages but now it’s a breeze!
Machine Event: Lithophage Sample Collector: The machine is designed to help create a cure or vaccine for the infection. Upon activation, Lithophage enemy variants will begin to spawn and swarm the players. Players must be partially infected and run over to a center platform to be ‘purged’ of their infection build up. The machine requires a set amount of Lithophage infection before the event ends. It would require players to balance how much infection they can take before being overwhelmed.
My new machine event I call the Pyrokine Mist Spreader. in an area of red mist there is a large glass tube with vents coming from machines on the side. Destroy the high HP machinery while pyro grunts and Praetorians attack but be careful, while in the mist the bugs melee and Praetorian fire breath attacks will set dwarves a blaze! My lore idea was this mist was supposed kill the bugs, but it mutates them instead.
I once had a Tritilyte Deposit at the very top of an extremely tall vertical shaft during an escort mission. The Nanite Bomb Dispenser, of course, dropped down at the very bottom of the shaft. We only had Gunner's ziplines to ascend the shaft, and plenty of bugs to knock us off of them. Couldn't crack that one in time.
As for the OMEN Tower, the platform directly OPPOSITE from the core infuser will always be the bottom section (the purple beams) and should be prioritized
For the tower of death you need to activate the Plattform in the middle, opposite side of where you put in the core first, that the lasers and it makes it even more pain in the booty if Ou don't disable them first. Also combo for the sotoneys is heavy, normal, heavy, normal. You get in one normals attack before it's charged up again so you don't waste hits
Omen modular exterminator's can be made far easier simply by having an engineer present on the team. This is because of two factors. Turrets, and platforms. If your engineer will put down his turret(s), drones wont be nearly as much of an issue. However the most important part is the platforms. If your engineer places them right, they can completely negate the danger posed by the bottom tier of every omen, the plasma arc launcher thing. Place platforms connected to a nearby wall until you get over top of one of the maintainence access platforms. Height is crucial: they should be high enough that molly can sit underneath them. If you stand on top of these now, you dwarven feetsies will just barely go into the hitbox of the access platform, unlocking whichever tier its linked to and keeping yourself safe. Just be careful, if its too low the arcs will eat away your plats and the spinning lazer section that is in the middle sometimes can also break them. Another pro tip: the access platform directly across from the core infuser will ALWAYS be the one used to open up the bottom tier. Try taking it out first to make the fight far easier.
I'd like to see one where you have to repair something as a team while under attack and it goes faster the more people you have repairing at the same time.
Oh, i did like 4 of these till now, did not really understand them and never looked for the Core infuser, so i nerver knew that you could infuse a core, just stood there after i was done and tought, man where is my prize, i feel pretty dumb now
Some quick tips and corrections: The Bomb throwing machine event doesn't cause a pulse of energy when completed, so this one will not activate dreadnoughts if it's in the same room. And I've noticed lot less flying enemies in this event so zip lines even though they are slow will help a lot in this event whether it's keeping your safe when carrying the bomb or helping you get back to the dispenser if it is downhill. Correction: In the kursite grinder event the samples can break over time in your hands so get it to the machine as fast as possible. And lastly you can jump on the big ebonite bugs ( the big Rocky ones) and use them like a trampoline to avoid damage, And you can kill the smaller ebonite bugs without the power up. I'm going to make another comment about the tips for The Omen Tower.
Last tritilyte deposit I had the dispenser spawned 20 meterse above the deposit ando in a weird angle, we didnt have a driller so I, the scout, had to parkour ando grappe while throwing the bombs blind from above. We made it tho.
Honestly ebonite mutation is fun with vampire regardless of being driller like i run vamp on one of my scout builds and run it with power attack AOE so the ebonite mutator means i get a really good power attack and ill farm the ebonites for health lmao
For the OMEN when I play on haz4 I don't even do the event, I just activate it and then let it fail to collect money and experience because it's too bothersome.
Iirc only ebonite and kursite release the shockwave that kills everything edit to say kursite shards can 100% disintegrate in your hand if you wait too long
I'd beg to differ cause I find the tritilyte event to be easiest, heck you can even use the bombs to blow up the bugs they won't go boom if they hit surface or something
You're a bit slow for me. I watched your videos when I started playing, but I sadly already progressed way further that I don't get new stuff anymore. I got all weapon oc a month ago. But still like watching all the vids

Found that out the hard way today. We did finish the mission though, and I infused a Matrix Core.
or.. even easier... the middle of the three platforms.

Engi can also just use his platform and you will dodge the laser while still being identified

Sometimes, the RTG (random terrain generator) bug gods are cruel.

Thanks for the info bro! I've got 140+ hours of playtime and just learned how to expose the vulnarable parts of the omen tower...😅
Last tritilyte deposit I had the dispenser spawned 20 meterse above the deposit ando in a weird angle, we didnt have a driller so I, the scout, had to parkour ando grappe while throwing the bombs blind from above. We made it tho.
omg i was asking myself how do i activate those things, i had no idea i had to promote at least once to get a key
That's exactly what I needed... thanks

the first event i got was the omen one and i had no clue what to do until the time ran out
For the OMEN when I play on haz4 I don't even do the event, I just activate it and then let it fail to collect money and experience because it's too bothersome.
Since my last encounter with the girnok seeds I've just given up on events
ah yes, I'm watching video about machine events after 250 hours in DRG.
Iirc only ebonite and kursite release the shockwave that kills everything

The kursite is easy until you get what i got, a huge cliff right nect too it.
cool vid
