Can I just say, Bryce being thalassaphobic makes his attempt to save Liam even more sweet. He put aside one of his worst fears go try and save his friend
Oscar said that his “dream” took place over 10 years ago, meaning Toothpaste/Julien has been stuck in the Waiting Room for at least a decade. No wonder he’s basically catatonic.
for people who don't like doing math: oscar (calculatory) was inputting some math equations, the first one equalled "69420" and the second one equalled "5318008"
Small thing I noticed: It says Toothpaste is from Limoges, France, which is why the episode he is in "La salle d'attende" and the description of the video "Someone Parishes" were both in French
This episode tells us a lot about airy, the contestants, and ONE If you have anything you’d like to add just reply it and edit it into the comment - ONE had a first season that was cancelled after the first challenge, we know it was cancelled because all placements besides Oscar’s say N/A, - bassy was eliminated, so at least one challenge has taken place since Liam’s disappearance, Scenty was up for elimination and wasn’t picked again. Most likely many challenges have taken place since Liam’s elimination since this episode is about 8 days after Liam was eliminated and Scenty said that she thinks each challenge cycle is 12 hours long. If they are 12 hours, then 16 challenges would have taken place since Liam’s elimination. If this is true then it would mean that ONE would have ended. We know this is not true because Scenty and Charlotte are still in the contest, so this means that either Airy has brought in a few more batches of contestants, or airy has been slowing down with the challenges. It’s possible Airy can’t really grant wishes, since he doesn’t seem all powerful, needing time to make and prepare contests and items such as the name tags, and that the contest is just meant to go on forever. - Airy may not have been able to revive people in during season one. Oscar says that airy was apologetic when he nearly killed the contestants and he does not apologize or ever really acknowledge the contestant’s deaths very much in season 2. - since season one was cancelled Toothpaste did not win and toothpaste isn’t airy as many people thought, but is dead. I imagine toothpaste died somehow, airy freaked out, and since he could not revive him, he cancelled the show. Airy either didn’t want to revive toothpaste or forgot about him by the time he learned how to revive so toothpaste remains dead. Two people in replies have some ideas on why he remains dead, one person said it might be like mephone in II who can only revive people who died while he was alive, in this case though it would be people who died while Airy didn’t know how to revive. The other idea is that that Airy can only bring back recently deceased people. - La Salle D’attente is French for the waiting room, toothpaste is French so this could be his own description of it. It’s a room where contestants wait to be revived. - Airy reused the wooden stakes from season one in season two. We know this because Oscar talks about wooden stakes before he says he woke up. This is the only challenge that took place during season one, Oscar lost, and was eliminated. The challenge was probably the same since Airy seemed to have it planned out in episode one as opposed to any of the other challenges which often reused parts from previous challenges or Didn’t involve anything provided by Airy. - Season one and season two were around 10 years apart, Oscar says this. I’m not sure what implications this may have besides it explaining why toothpaste seemed so out of it in the waiting room. - Charlotte (Moldy) served 3 month in jail for petty theft. This could mean that either she wasn’t as well off as she claims to be, or she wasn’t at one point and had to resort to theft. - at the end of the episode, Liam has a realization about the notes and the same radio static from toothpaste’s radio plays, his eyes turn white as well which usually symbolizes that a character has more knowledge than the others. Someone in the replies said that the SF on one of the notes could stand for sound frequency, which could relate to the radio (I don’t know how exactly radios and sound frequencies relate so sorry if this sounds stupid). - the website was created by Airy I don’t believe anyone else would be able to collect those pictures and put together the website, especially considering the picture of Bassy which, as far as we know, no one else could have taken as it would mean they have interdimensional travel, but why would he create this website? Airy might want to get the word out of ONE and make it a contest show that people can watch. I believe that ONE does not currently have any viewers and Airy has just been eliminating people arbitrarily, saying viewers voting them to justify his choices. Edit: Wow looking back on my comment after 10 months... I got some things right, other things wrong. but tbh I cant believe I even wrote this much at all about this I was looking so far into it lol.
Little things of mine 1. I’ve noticed that people have been saying that Amelia, for some reason, lied about being a yoga instructor due to the fact that the document said she was a retail cashier. In episode 2, whilst the contestants were arguing after Airy said he’d bring new contestants, towards the end you can hear Amelia’s voice saying “I just got a new job!” Or something along the lines of that. That leads me to believe that Amelia recently got the yoga instructor job, or vice versa. Edit: just realized the reupload fixed this, and the voice actor of Amelia confirmed she actually said “What’ll happen to their jobs?” nevermind lol 2. I had this theory for a while based on what Amelia said in episode 1, stating that she thinks the competition was made specifically for her. Now knowing that Bryce is thalassaphobic, or the fear of big bodies of water, and looking at episode 6… it gives the theory a whole new meaning. Just look at his face whilst in there- he looked petrified. 3. That Charlotte image is going to haunt me for the rest of eternity oh god why 4. On the topic of the document images- how the hell did Airy get these?? On Liam’s image, you can see a blurry black blob that reminds me of when you accidentally put your fingers in front of a camera’s lenses. Knowing these object’s limbs- airy is a stalker wth- it also looks like that was Liam in his own office, the color scheme of the floor and the chair seems to be the same as what I remember in episode 1. Not to mention the cropped out images. Were those other people?
It took me time to realise that the reason why bassy is the only contestant in the second batch to have a photo is because they would really be the only one to have a picture with them. Like, why would you take a picture of a subway seat or some whipped cream.
Since we know about Julien Beaumont this means that he must’ve been killed and not revived, but it also shows his occupation, it could be the last thing he was occupied with though. They could have been forgotten about or “punished”. Maybe similar to how Airy left for a few months, Julien could have died during Airy leaving and Airy never noticed him gone or he was eliminated and Airy forgot to eliminate him when returning. They do have an occupation of an independent filmmaker though, possibly meaning that he could be responsible for some things about the show.
don’t forget that his competition placement is officially logged as n/a along with whistle (max), which may suggest that the original run might’ve stopped early due to some incident, which is supported by there being only one batch (6 in total)
i was actually theorizing about this with my friend!! we think that julien died in the competition like liam did, but airy probably didnt actually have the ability to revive back then like he does now. that and when oscar talks about being on the plane, its kind of like he got eliminated before everyone- also him mentioning the fact that airy would cry apologies out if he almost kills anyone would make sense if he didnt have the ability to revive! also what another reply said (by quisken) brings up a really good point that it might have been stopped short due to something (like a death if julien died) [spspsp ignore this but its good things to think about for why stone has that power, just not with the first season of one lol] another thing is that i think stone might have been in the first batch of contestants (since they didnt scroll down and clicked more times than 6) and he won (which also implies that it wasnt stopped short and someone won) and thats how he got to know everything in the universe, but it could have come with a repercussion of him losing his mouth- say if he only won because julien died and that was like a payback thing but its just theories :] edit: disregarding what i said about there was probably more contestants, i head the amount of clicks wrong :]
@@acidicali7776 In a previous episode, Liam drowned during a swimming challenge because his leg was broken and went into the same area Julien was in. It’s like a sort of waiting room to be regenerated.
This episode implies Toothpaste has been sitting in La Salle D'attende (also it's a fun fact that Toothpaste is French, hence episode 6's title and description being French) for A WHOLE DECADE. Imagine sitting in the same void for a decade listening to a static radio. Jesus.
5:01 HOLY SHIT that means toothpaste hasn't been recovered by Airy FOR OVER A DECADE STRAIGHT 😱HE WAS STUCK IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR OVER A DECADE. In episode 6 when backpack died, he saw toothpaste at the waiting room place, and the previous season that toothpaste was in was a DECADE AGO. that's freaking horrible.. each like is an F for Toothpaste..
I’m gonna put out my theory here: Around 4:47 Oscar said how airy kept apologizing over almost killing someone and back in episode 1 and 6 we know that dead contestants can be revived/regenerated. We also possibly know what the afterlife looks like with Liam dying and seeing Julian (Toothpaste) Julian doesn’t have a competition placement same with Max meaning he could’ve possibly been in the bottom 2 with Max but then died in the last challenge. My guess is that airy didn’t have the power revive any dead contestant so when Julian died he cancelled the show so that’s why Liam saw Julian in the “afterlife”. After a decade airy decided to remake the show with different contestants but to make sure if they died they would be revived so that’s why he didn’t really cared for when Liam drowned in episode 6 and why we saw Julian there I hope I didn’t miss anything!
Considering that Julian is still stuck there despite Airy figuring out how to resurrect contestants, I think it's a possibility that Airy abandoned the remaining contestants from season one too like he did for months with the current contestants, except that the season one contestants have been stuck for years instead of months. And the possibility of being stuck alone in a weird abbandoned planet for decades terrifies me.
that's so sickening to think about... airy didn't only forget that toothpaste DIED and it's still waiting to be revived, all by himself in this empty room, but also, when he gets powers to revive people he simply does not care when they do die because he knows he can just recover them. Airy is the worst.
(from original upload but it's still relevant) Just realized something. Liam realizes what the notes mean, right? But he realizes it as he's listening to static from the radio (around 6:23). What if the notes are radio frequences? SF might mean san francisco, sure, but what if SF means something else? I googled SF and got "Single-frequency signaling", which is a "line signaling in which dial pulses or supervisory signals are conveyed by a single voice-frequency tone in each direction." I'm gonna guess that I might be right, but I honestly have no clue so lol
I made a theory around the static. When Liam Saw stone again there was static. Whenever someone gets teleported to the plains there is static. And Liam saw Toothpaste with radio making static noises. I thought the static was connected to radio waves or something because of this and I believed the grass were teleporters to the plain because the grass pointed to the sun, which is a great source of radio waves and whenever people got teleported to the plains we heard static. This might be a dumb and weird theory I made though
one thing i noticed, while looking at group twos contestants it says bassy was placed 11th at 1:42 , (this is after backpack) which means the show is confirmed to still be happening in the background
ONE has got to be one of the most impressive object shows ive seen How it builds up its storyline and how different the theming is compared to other object shows
the idea of going back to irl society after being tortured by Airy is crazy like imagine having no clues to follow or conformation it was real or anybody who believes you because Liam had all those things and still
Reposting this since this is a reupload, but at 1:42 it says Bassy placed 11th, but we never saw them get eliminated. Meaning they must've gotten eliminated sometime after Liam, since they placed 12th.
The number Calculatory was going to give them at 3:50, 267×260, is equal to 69420. And the one he gave them right after, 136×39103, equals 5318008, which upside down means boobies.
fun theory about the missing images for batch two: the b2 contestants not shown all were part of crowds of their own kind before they joined the show airline food, whippy creamy, tray-y were all neatly placed in stacks subway seat was in a row and contact lens was literally in a guys eye the unavailability of the batch 2 contestant images probably just comes from nothing but an inability to single them out in a picture which is a very fun visual to think about
One time I replied to a comment saying that I thought that Toothpaste was a contestant from a previous season of ONE. Now I'm not saying I called it. But I think that I called it. nah seriously tho this was an amazing episode and yet another amazing entry in the ONE Cinematic Universe! Keep it up!
Now that i think of it, maybe the contests actually depend on the character. The 1st challenge was to balance on the poles, Scenty / Amelia said that she might think the contest was made for her, and then when it says Soda Bottle / Bryce is phallasophobic, one of the challenges, being "Floating in the pool the longest", may reflect to him. I'm also thinking that Moldy would've uncovered the "push-up" or the "Climbing up the pole" challenge.
i saw another comment by a user of the name "I C U" mentioning a theory that the static is somehow connected. this is a really good theory that i think more people should focus on appearances of static in ONE: static was playing when liam was holding the stone when tomato was teleported to the plane, static played (less important) in ONE 10, when the drivers in the beginning of the episode changed the radio, the static sounded the exact same as other static we've heard liam got the white eyes (a symbol of learning a truth) when he was listening to the static in the car at 6:28 this could be connected to radios and radio waves as well other: when liam drowned and saw toothpaste, they were touching a radio with STATIC PLAYING all the grass points the sun, a massive producer of radio waves anyways that's all i got
Also kind of a sub theory of the static is that I think the grass are teleporters because of their possible connection to the static. This is because when Charlie got teleported we heard static. But it’s just a side theory
alright, time to write my whole essay about my theories on how ONE could turn out. -it is clearly seen that bassy was eliminated in 11th after backpack, and although this does prove ONE is continuing in the background of the main show, it will not be useful in this theory specifically for now. -episode 6's title is in french, and it ends up translating to "The Waiting Room". -toothpaste is french, thus likely giving the connection between episode 6's title and himself. -when backpack dies on the plane in episode 6, he is taken to the waiting room, and when he is revived, he comes back. -however, toothpaste is shown to still be in the waiting room, meaning he has not gotten respawned yet despite the fact he has died. -season 1 takes place a whole decade before season 2, meaning if toothpaste did die in season 1, he has been there for 10 years straight, leading his mind to things unknown currently. -note that in whistle's notes, it states that he is autophobic, meaning that he is afraid of being alone. this is very, very likely NOT put there for no reason, which i shall proceed to explain how in the following points. -also note that with the language backpack and soda bottle use, they don't state anything about the fact that ONLY calculatory was eliminated. -supporting this point is the fact that none of the other 3 contestants' pages were visibly shown onscreen, only whistle and toothpaste (who have not been eliminated yet) and calculatory, who was the first boot. -moving on, in the waiting room in episode 6, toothpaste can be seen flicking through radio channels on the radio, although all channels are static. -in the note stone gives to backpack, it clearly states "SF" and followed by a bunch of seemingly useless numbers. although one may assume SF may stand for san francisco, if you look it up, one of the actual definitions for that acronym is Signal Frequency. -signal frequency relates to the radio as seen in the waiting room where you wait to be recovered, and where toothpaste is stuck eternally in limbo. -however, i assume the reason why toothpaste was never recovered was due to airy's inability to recover one whole decade ago, so he simply abandons the first season. -another thing is how you can notice that according to calculatory, airy acted much, much differently during the first season than he did during the second. from all of these points (and more which i probably have forgotten to add), i thus come to you with this conclusion and prediction on the past and future of ONE. *10 years ago, 6 contestants (being button, calculatory, caney, scarfy, toothpaste, and whistle) are taken to the plane. they are hosted by a very energetic albeit EXTREMELY disorganized and inept airy, who clearly does not know at all what to do should a contestant die. he gets extremely close to killing multiple of them before nearly backing out at the last second, knowing or not knowing his repercussions if he does. calculatory is first out, and eventually, as the numbers thin, the finale ends up getting between toothpaste and whistle. during the finale challenge, toothpaste ends up dying tragically, panicking airy immensely and causing him to immediately abandon and desert the island, leaving whistle (who is autophobic) alone to face his unknown dangers, as toothpaste ends up rotting himself in the waiting room, as he still is not revived.* *ten years later, in modern day, 6 new objects in 3 batches (for a total of 18) get teleported to the plane, and the whole series of ONE plays out now until episode 12 (you should know what happened). now, starting from ONE 13, backpack finally understands what the note with SF means - he remembers the waiting room and how there was a radio in the table, and suddenly comes to the realization - SF stands for Signal Frequency, and the numbers are the frequency he needs to tune into to get to toothpaste. so, in episode 13, he and soda bottle will attempt to contact toothpaste through any needs necessary through trying to get a signal in and through to the radio currently possessed by toothpaste as he still sits in the waiting room. as for whistle, i do not have any theories on what could have happened to him.* so yeah thats it if you have anything youd really like to add then uhh comment and i might add it yeah
Maybe they could get to whistle through getting in contact with toothpaste, with being left alone for a decade and being a finalist he probably knows and remembers a lot more than calculatory. They might even be teleported to an unplugged plane where whistle lives alone, only for stone to appear or for them to die and escape with toothpaste?? Crack theory is that stone was the old airy since he’s highly knowledgeable over the plane and is worried for the health of others by how he gets backpack to dodge the tape deck, not sure airy being hurt and disappearing makes me feel like there’s more to how he actually works. Edit; another thing! During several teleportation scenes there’s weird static sounds sort of similar to toothpastes radio, maybe he’s been trying to teleport out for years but never got the right signal (the signal on the note)
This is genuinely such a good episode, the humor is great, the dialogue is very intriguing and the mystery is so much more interesting now than ever. I personally have no exact idea as to what the numbers mean, but we have 10 days to figure it out
At the end of the episode, Liam makes a gasp sound like he just realized something. I’m guessing he looked at the notes with the numbers and he thought about imputing them in Oscar since he’s a calculator. Maybe revealing a secret message since people do that by flipping over calculator so the number appear as words like how Oscar was seen multiple times upside down. Just an assumption I made.
@@cyberyoutabe5995 Things we figured out from this episode alone: 1. We're in Season 2 2. We found out who the characters from season 1 are 3. We found out Airy couldn't recover in Season 1 and found out how to do it inbetween the time between Season 1 and Season 2. 4. Many many theories disproven 5. The guy in Episode 6 in the waiting room is from Season 1, and has been there for >10 years 6. New theories on what the notes mean Literally MORE 7. Moldy/Charlotte has served 3 months for petty theft which means she isn't as wealthy as she says she is. 8. The location of all the contestants (When they get back) And you said this Episode achieved nothing, it's actually a pretty info heavy episode.
1:36 It says Bryce is thalassophobic, which means he’s afraid of large bodies of water. The last contest he did was to stay afloat in a large body of water. Another thing: 2:05 Max and Julien don’t have placements while Oscar does, meaning the first season was never finished. It may explain why Julien is still in the waiting room. Also 1:43 Bassy was eliminated.
@@baby-beetle But no one else has a placement except for the ppl who have already been eliminated. Scenty, Moldy, etc each say N/A. So that means Bassy was eliminated
ONE's one of those shows that has mostly pretty simple ideas for example challenges, but also some mind explosive lore and great charm to it alongside some plots that make it special from other shows. It's why I love this show.
I have a theory based on the static. I think somehow it’s connected to the planes. When Charlie got teleported to the planes we heard static. We also heard static when Stone was communicating to Liam. Most importantly, we heard static from Julien flipping through the radio. I think the reason the radio is most important because radios use radio waves. Why is this important? Because the grass always points to the sun which is the best source of radio waves in the sky. That makes me believe that the grass are teleporters to the planes because we heard the static when Charlie was getting teleported. The static is also used to communicate between the plane and different world because like I mentioned, Stone communicated to Liam and you could hear static. Also I believe Julien is trying to communicate to Liam through the radio with the static because as soon as Liam got into the car in episode ten, there was static in the radio and it started getting louder, and it never really stopped, and in this episode, we could hear static coming through Bryce’s radio. These are connected because of the radio waves that radios transmit. I then think Liam at the end realized how the static was connected and how the static is the closest connection between the planes and other dimensions. I hope that made sense.
As soon as backpack gasped at the end I knew he knew what the numbers meant. This was really awesome! And I like the way that Oscar was quite a funny/joke playing person, he actually made me laugh and I don’t know how-
Let's go dude, im so excited for episode 13! Also you fixed those errors surprisingly fast. And the episodes come out so frequently. Great job to the ONE team!
I like the small details about some of the contestants having additional notes. (Edit: I just realized something when rewatching ONE. In ONE 8, Subway Seat mentions how “It was hard enough without Bassy. She still hasn’t come out since the day Airy disappeared.” Bassy is shown to be in 11th place which means Bassy was eliminated as Airy disappeared.)
It meant that bassy did the limb thing and hid for the whole time. Bassy could also be seen in the background of ONE 8. Bassy couldn’t have been eliminated during that time too because Liam placed 12th.
Interesting thing I noticed that I don’t think anyone else pointed out yet that I know of is if you pause at 1:43 You can see that bass got 11th which means she got eliminated after backpack which shows the people are still getting eliminated why this is going on
It rlly suprised me when ONE takes place a decade ago, probably from 2011/2012 It is my favorite object show because of how unique this is and the well built lore & story, this object show actually feature Real Life Location unlike any other object shows i could find ;]
They fixed scenty's bio to say yoga instructor instead of retail cashier and fixed 2:05 to say season one instead of season two if yall are wondering why it was reuploaded
I just came up with this lol At the end of this episode, Liam realized something about the sticky notes. In one of the comments, someone found out that SF may not stand for San Francisco, but maybe sound frequency instead, which means that the numbers mean something. In episode 6, Julean, or Toothpaste, was still sitting in the waiting room to be recovered by Airy. He was also turning the knob of a radio as he was waiting. This may lead them to finding the Plane or something! Idk, don’t trust this completely, just a random connection
if this is true, then maybe the next episode will be called something like static (radio static) or necronomicon (a book that has something to do with the dead, ie Julien/toothpaste) or maybe even foreshadowed frequencies
Ok. I’ve recently rewatched the series up to here and these are my theories. 1. Airy favors Scenty. For whatever reason, he wants her to win. She even says in episode one that the challenge seems tailored to her. Airy gets a bit upset whenever she tries losing or is up for elimination. You can also see this in subtle ways such as how regretful Stone acts towards her. We also now know that Bassy was eliminated before her. 2. Stone made his team the way he did in order to let this episode happen. He can see the future in some way, and by putting Liam and Bryce together with Textbox he knew they would work to whatever conclusion this series makes.
I'm IN LOVE with this! This has to be one of the most creative object show's out there, im not sure if i should even consider it an object show anymore, it's just- wow! I'm SO excited to see more!!
WAIT I SKIPPED THAT PART BECAUSE IT DIDNT SEEM LIKE ANYTHING WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN now rewatching it, yea i think so. his eyes showed up, meaning he was right/knew something
(this comment was from original upload, probably is no longer the same) OKAY IM GONNA TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING I SAW AND WHAT I HAVE TO SAY (SPOILERS) 1. BASSY GOT OUT 11TH, RIGHT AFTER LIAM. THAT'S PRETTY NEAT 2. I WISH THEY WENT TO THE THIRD BATCH OF CONTESTANTS FOR THE SECOND SEASON BUT ITS WHATEVER 3. okay no more caps sorry. At 2:05, it says "Max Schwartz" is under the second season. Can't tell if that's an animation error or intentional. 4. It's strange how none of the season one contestants have placements next to their name, but calculator does. He got 6th which is pretty neat. 5. hehe charlotte was arrested lol 6. I can't tell if this is intentional either, but there is no "batch one" next to the season one link, which makes me wonder if there even was a second batch. Maybe after the first challenge (and calculator was eliminated), airy decided to stop the season there? Airy apparently nearly killed everyone multiple times, as stated by Oscar, and maybe that's how toothpaste died. Weird how Airy didn't revive him, though. 7. The bit at 3:19 with the music is hilarious lol 8. 267 times 260 is 69420, and 136 times 39103 is 5318008. This episode was hilarious lol 9. I do enjoy bringing back the eyes motif! I wonder what backpack realized? 10. Overall, I am once again excited to see what's next in store, but I also really want to see more of that website. Maybe learn more about the third batch from the second season and the first batch of the first season. 11. I find it weird that the website refers to it as the plane (being called 'planedatabase'), but the acronym "ONE" doesn't seem to be anywhere. ill edit this if i have any other thoughts
[retyped this whole comment bc of the reupload] there's a lot to unpack from this episode, n my thoughts r too scattered, so lemme just write down a few things - toothpaste [julien], the character previously shown in a strange sequence in episode 6: la salle d'attente-- french for waiting room. julien is from limoges, france. like most of the other contestants from the first batch, his placement in the season is n/a. weird - ^does this mean that the waiting room scene was really where he'd been all along? has julien been trapped in some subset of the plane for a decade? - on top of that waiting for what? did julien win the competition, and now waits forever for the prize? maybe his wish was somethign airy couldn't fufill, so he started a new season instead. just spitballing here - also amelia is SHORT. - also, i love the detail of bryce pushing away the chair at 0:55. juuuust in case.
I think julien died and airy wasnt able to bring him back, so he cancelled the competition, explaining why some contestants had a placement of N/A, and then he was stuck in that "dead zone" for a decade, without airy reviving him.
@@N0tivat pretty interesting concept for an object show to tackle, considering how widely acceptable "revivals" r in every show w/ little to no consequences
@@samstarium8606 in episode one of seaon one, scenty died falling off a poll and no one cared, she was fine which is weird because thats the only time a respawn had no consequences. also I like ur theory of julien waiting forever for his prize, and if thats true than airy is even more of a jerk
I just bingewatched every episode of the serie and I have one thing to say: This is the best godamn object show I have ever seen and I'm thrilled for anything that will come up in the future.
I just binged the whole series today and since this came out today im scared that its gonna take a while for the next one :( No matter how much time it takes great job with this series :D
im glad this series has exploded in popularity, i remember finding your channel the summer before covid hit. its good to see youre gaining the popularity you deserve
1:312:05 Woaw you’ve corrected those two mistakes pretty quickly, anyways as I’ve said in the first upload: THIS SERIES IS AMAZING OMGGG I LOVED THIS EPISODE. Can’t wait for the next ONE (lol ok I’m unfunny)
DAAAMN, did not see this one coming! Man I just love this show, more and more info given for us to theorize about each episode! This show is a masterpiece of characters, lore, and storytelling!
(Guess I’m typing this comment again since the video was reuploaded) I’m thinking ONE really stands for “One Never Escapes”, perhaps that toothpaste guy won the first season and what happened was instead of getting the wish he was trapped in that weird area (the one where Liam went to when he died) and whoever wins season 2 will also be stuck there
@@GDNashit It could be possible whoever made that website didn’t know everything that happened in the first season so for the contestants they didn’t know the placements for just had it as N/A, Toothpaste and Whistle both have N/A (I can’t tell with Calculatory though) if half of them have it then the other three probably do as well
In case anyone didn't realize, the website that Liam and Bryce access is a real website you can look up. Put the URL exactly as it shows up to "contestants" and itll pop up.
@@Xatasu hm i mean that could be true as all of the contestants not shown don't have any info on it, and with group 3 of season two being considered "non cannon". but it would be rlly cool if this was like an ARG or something.
I cant remember exactly what i commented before, but this episode was so good!! You guys should be proud and the world building that is going on is great! I love thinking up new theories for each new episode :]
thing i just noticed, at 1:42 Bassy's screen shows that their competition placement is 11th, meaning they were the first to go after backpack, most likely because bassys VA had quit
It also kinda adds to the immersion, showing us that the competition is still ongoing without actually telling us it is, Bassy’s elimination also means that Scenty’s team lost again yet she still hasn’t been eliminated yet
I just found out abt this show yesterday and I’m also now obsessed!!!! This is literally my favorite object show now! I got way too excited yesterday finding out today was when episode 12 was coming out :D this is such a great episode aaaaa
1:21 it’s a bit hard to spot, but while backpack flips through the profiles, it shows that bassy was recently eliminated (refer to competition placement section, last statistic on the right), proving that the show is still going on. (according to scenty (i believe?)) she was in hiding since airy disappeared, thus airy eliminated her for being useless. also at 2:06 it shows that whistle and toothpaste placed N/A, and considering the fact that oscar placed 6th ( 2:41 ) oscar was probably the only contestant to make it out alive (also evidenced by his recollection of airy’s multiple almost murders)
Reposting this since it got reuploaded, a theory i have for the first season is that toothpaste died somehow, Airy freaked out and sent the remaining contestants back home, which is why whistle and probably a few others have N/A as their placement
Wait a second... So we know that there are tomatos in their universe, and the calculator guy (I forgot his actual name) said that one of the homeless shelters was near a pizza place. And what are on pizza? tomato sauce. So are there inanimate tomatoes along with the sentient ones or are the tomatos, once they get to a certain age get killed and turned into tomato products... Might be a sad end for our tomato baby friend, or I'm just overthinking a small detail
I made this comment in the OG vid but it got deleted so.. Anyone else noticed the Toothpaste looks... Familiar? That's because it's the exact same one from ONE 6. His placement is N/A, so that doesn't mean he won. Neither did Whistle. Toothpaste was in the same realm Liam was when he died, so it's for sure Toothpaste somehow got killed. Perhaps the original season got cancelled, and Airy forgot to bring him back since he was dead at that time. That could be why both him and Whistle are N/A.
i like how it says competition placement, and also says who was voted off afterward. this means that bassy was voted off after liam was voted off. and if you look at the first season of contestants, on screen it says N/A for 2 contestants. this means that the show never finished, or they never left the plane. we know toothpaste (julien) has to be airy, and if the theory of toothpaste (julien) was took away that means the other contestant that was a whistle (max) must've been the person taking toothpaste (julien) away as they are the other person confirmed to not leave if that was the case for why it says N/A in the competition placement. although because the last person to be last eliminated at the competition was calculatory (oscar) which leads the the possibility of there being 4 other people living in the plane still if he was the last person to be eliminated. this really does leave some many possibilities of how this show will end up being. although if toothpaste and airy were separate people, this leads to a whole new different theory if airy was took away, which means one of the 6 contestants that haven't been confirmed to leave could've took him away somehow. edit: if we were also going by the logic that if the last person eliminated for the season is the last person to go home (bassy) this means that the other contestants are still trapped in the plane, and could be following whistles (max) and toothpastes (julien) footsteps, as they are the only 2 confirmed people that haven't yet left the plane.
I really enjoyed this episode, it now means that the contestants now are the season 2 contestants, so that means that stone was from season 1 which explains why he knows so much. Now it begs the question what do the numbers mean, could it lead somewhere, maybe to the lighthouse? Who is SF? Could it be someone’s initials from season 1? Sorry for this long comment but this raises so many questions! But overall this was so good episode
i may be wrong, but i feel like stone doesnt know a lot just because they might've been in season 1. because if they were, how'd they find out the information of the new contestants, like bryce's adress? but now that i think about it, maybe like liam, stone reasearched the competition after it stopped, and found stuff out. it still doesn't really explain how stone knew bryce's adress though sorry for the mini rant lol
@@kalemoment5101 yeah now you say it how does he knows Bryce’s address, but then again if he knew that voting was out of control, knew the coordinates of airy, himself and SF, it could mean that he met them before the plane or after the plane. But that is just my theory

This episode tells us a lot about airy, the contestants, and ONE
If you have anything you’d like to add just reply it and edit it into the comment
- ONE had a first season that was cancelled after the first challenge, we know it was cancelled because all placements besides Oscar’s say N/A,
- bassy was eliminated, so at least one challenge has taken place since Liam’s disappearance, Scenty was up for elimination and wasn’t picked again.
Wait, where do you see that about the wooden stakes?

Little things of mine
Edit: just realized the reupload fixed this, and the voice actor of Amelia confirmed she actually said “What’ll happen to their jobs?” nevermind lol
3. That Charlotte image is going to haunt me for the rest of eternity oh god why
Nah that was an error, though I noticed it too. As you can see it was fixed in this reupload (in reference to Amelia being a cashier)
It says shes a yoga instructor in 1:30 though. What could this mean?
the retail cashier thing is a mistake from the previous upload. its fixed now
Liam's image is really creepy, I think it's him in his office, makes you wonder how tf they took that picture
I wonder if Max/Whistle's autophobia was relevant to anything seeing that it was added under his additional notes

It took me time to realise that the reason why bassy is the only contestant in the second batch to have a photo is because they would really be the only one to have a picture with them. Like, why would you take a picture of a subway seat or some whipped cream.
I mean contact lens could’ve had a photo, it just would’ve been weird for there to just be a picture of some random human’s eye on the website
They do have an occupation of an independent filmmaker though, possibly meaning that he could be responsible for some things about the show.
don’t forget that his competition placement is officially logged as n/a along with whistle (max), which may suggest that the original run might’ve stopped early due to some incident, which is supported by there being only one batch (6 in total)
i was actually theorizing about this with my friend!! we think that julien died in the competition like liam did, but airy probably didnt actually have the ability to revive back then like he does now. that and when oscar talks about being on the plane, its kind of like he got eliminated before everyone- also him mentioning the fact that airy would cry apologies out if he almost kills anyone would make sense if he didnt have the ability to revive! also what another reply said (by quisken) brings up a really good point that it might have been stopped short due to something (like a death if julien died)
[spspsp ignore this but its good things to think about for why stone has that power, just not with the first season of one lol]
another thing is that i think stone might have been in the first batch of contestants (since they didnt scroll down and clicked more times than 6) and he won (which also implies that it wasnt stopped short and someone won) and thats how he got to know everything in the universe, but it could have come with a repercussion of him losing his mouth- say if he only won because julien died and that was like a payback thing
but its just theories :]
edit: disregarding what i said about there was probably more contestants, i head the amount of clicks wrong :]
Wait how do you know he died?

I’m gonna put out my theory here:
Around 4:47 Oscar said how airy kept apologizing over almost killing someone and back in episode 1 and 6 we know that dead contestants can be revived/regenerated. We also possibly know what the afterlife looks like with Liam dying and seeing Julian (Toothpaste)
Julian doesn’t have a competition placement same with Max meaning he could’ve possibly been in the bottom 2 with Max but then died in the last challenge. My guess is that airy didn’t have the power revive any dead contestant so when Julian died he cancelled the show so that’s why Liam saw Julian in the “afterlife”.
After a decade airy decided to remake the show with different contestants but to make sure if they died they would be revived so that’s why he didn’t really cared for when Liam drowned in episode 6 and why we saw Julian there
I hope I didn’t miss anything!
Airy is the worst.
and also, Max is scared of being alone (autophobic). Poor lad.
(from original upload but it's still relevant)
Just realized something.
Liam realizes what the notes mean, right?
But he realizes it as he's listening to static from the radio (around 6:23).
What if the notes are radio frequences?
SF might mean san francisco, sure, but what if SF means something else?
I googled SF and got "Single-frequency signaling", which is a "line signaling in which dial pulses or supervisory signals are conveyed by a single voice-frequency tone in each direction."
I'm gonna guess that I might be right, but I honestly have no clue so lol
Liam would literally have to be a genius if that was his guess to what the note meant
Omg you’re a genius Cheesy and ThatPerson are geniuses wow
Oh wow! I just thought it would have been to do with calculator being upside down ping the numbers to troll lol
If that's the case, then there's a good chance we may see that dead toothpaste guy again. Since, y'know, he also had a static radio
ONE has got to be one of the most impressive object shows ive seen
How it builds up its storyline and how different the theming is compared to other object shows
the idea of going back to irl society after being tortured by Airy is crazy
like imagine having no clues to follow or conformation it was real or anybody who believes you because Liam had all those things and still
Reposting this since this is a reupload, but at 1:42 it says Bassy placed 11th, but we never saw them get eliminated. Meaning they must've gotten eliminated sometime after Liam, since they placed 12th.

bc their voice actor left the community, which is why they were stuck in their object form before being eliminated

Now I'm not saying I called it. But I think that I called it.
nah seriously tho this was an amazing episode and yet another amazing entry in the ONE Cinematic Universe! Keep it up!
Ur not saying you called it
But you called it?
@@pierceultra8700 Yes.
I'm also thinking that Moldy would've uncovered the "push-up" or the "Climbing up the pole" challenge.
i saw another comment by a user of the name "I C U" mentioning a theory that the static is somehow connected. this is a really good theory that i think more people should focus on
appearances of static in ONE:
static was playing when liam was holding the stone
when tomato was teleported to the plane, static played
(less important) in ONE 10, when the drivers in the beginning of the episode changed the radio, the static sounded the exact same as other static we've heard
liam got the white eyes (a symbol of learning a truth) when he was listening to the static in the car at 6:28
this could be connected to radios and radio waves as well
other:
when liam drowned and saw toothpaste, they were touching a radio with STATIC PLAYING
all the grass points the sun, a massive producer of radio waves
anyways that's all i got
Genius that along thing you typef
Thank you!
*10 years ago, 6 contestants (being button, calculatory, caney, scarfy, toothpaste, and whistle) are taken to the plane. they are hosted by a very energetic albeit EXTREMELY disorganized and inept airy, who clearly does not know at all what to do should a contestant die. he gets extremely close to killing multiple of them before nearly backing out at the last second, knowing or not knowing his repercussions if he does. calculatory is first out, and eventually, as the numbers thin, the finale ends up getting between toothpaste and whistle. during the finale challenge, toothpaste ends up dying tragically, panicking airy immensely and causing him to immediately abandon and desert the island, leaving whistle (who is autophobic) alone to face his unknown dangers, as toothpaste ends up rotting himself in the waiting room, as he still is not revived.*
*ten years later, in modern day, 6 new objects in 3 batches (for a total of 18) get teleported to the plane, and the whole series of ONE plays out now until episode 12 (you should know what happened). now, starting from ONE 13, backpack finally understands what the note with SF means - he remembers the waiting room and how there was a radio in the table, and suddenly comes to the realization - SF stands for Signal Frequency, and the numbers are the frequency he needs to tune into to get to toothpaste. so, in episode 13, he and soda bottle will attempt to contact toothpaste through any needs necessary through trying to get a signal in and through to the radio currently possessed by toothpaste as he still sits in the waiting room. as for whistle, i do not have any theories on what could have happened to him.*
so yeah thats it if you have anything youd really like to add then uhh comment and i might add it yeah
holy hell i dont know what to say about this
well sf can also stand for science fiction or square feet
During several teleportation scenes there’s weird static sounds sort of similar to toothpastes radio, maybe he’s been trying to teleport out for years but never got the right signal (the signal on the note)
one 13 just released, lets see if this is true

@@kat45788 Wait where in the background could they be seen?
Interesting thing I noticed that I don’t think anyone else pointed out yet that I know of is if you pause at 1:43 You can see that bass got 11th which means she got eliminated after backpack which shows the people are still getting eliminated why this is going on
It rlly suprised me when ONE takes place a decade ago, probably from 2011/2012
It is my favorite object show because of how unique this is and the well built lore & story, this object show actually feature Real Life Location unlike any other object shows i could find ;]

I just came up with this lol
At the end of this episode, Liam realized something about the sticky notes.
SF stands for San Francisco, which is where Liam lives.
Huh.. well there was another comment :/
Maybe I miss read, sorry. Though, I did say that I came up with is just when I thought of it
if this is true, then maybe the next episode will be called something like static (radio static) or necronomicon (a book that has something to do with the dead, ie Julien/toothpaste) or maybe even foreshadowed frequencies
6:11 woah he actually realized here about the numbers and the radio ?? I .... I did not realize this at all at the time lmao
WAIT I SKIPPED THAT PART BECAUSE IT DIDNT SEEM LIKE ANYTHING WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN
now rewatching it, yea i think so. his eyes showed up, meaning he was right/knew something
Fun Little Easter Egg: Liam’s last name is Plecak and that is polish for backpack.
(this comment was from original upload, probably is no longer the same)
OKAY IM GONNA TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING I SAW AND WHAT I HAVE TO SAY (SPOILERS)
1. BASSY GOT OUT 11TH, RIGHT AFTER LIAM. THAT'S PRETTY NEAT
2. I WISH THEY WENT TO THE THIRD BATCH OF CONTESTANTS FOR THE SECOND SEASON BUT ITS WHATEVER
3. okay no more caps sorry. At 2:05, it says "Max Schwartz" is under the second season. Can't tell if that's an animation error or intentional.
4. It's strange how none of the season one contestants have placements next to their name, but calculator does. He got 6th which is pretty neat.
5. hehe charlotte was arrested lol
7. The bit at 3:19 with the music is hilarious lol
8. 267 times 260 is 69420, and 136 times 39103 is 5318008. This episode was hilarious lol
The Max Schwartz season number was fixed in this reupload
as for 9, it’s probably something to do with the notes
I have to say, ONE is the only object show I watch after leaving the OSC. It’s so good it could honestly just be considered it’s own original series.
[retyped this whole comment bc of the reupload] there's a lot to unpack from this episode, n my thoughts r too scattered, so lemme just write down a few things
- toothpaste [julien], the character previously shown in a strange sequence in episode 6: la salle d'attente-- french for waiting room. julien is from limoges, france. like most of the other contestants from the first batch, his placement in the season is n/a. weird
- ^does this mean that the waiting room scene was really where he'd been all along? has julien been trapped in some subset of the plane for a decade?
- on top of that waiting for what? did julien win the competition, and now waits forever for the prize? maybe his wish was somethign airy couldn't fufill, so he started a new season instead. just spitballing here
- also amelia is SHORT.
@@samstarium8606 in episode one of seaon one, scenty died falling off a poll and no one cared, she was fine which is weird because thats the only time a respawn had no consequences. also I like ur theory of julien waiting forever for his prize, and if thats true than airy is even more of a jerk

thing i just noticed, at 1:42 Bassy's screen shows that their competition placement is 11th, meaning they were the first to go after backpack, most likely because bassys VA had quit
It also kinda adds to the immersion, showing us that the competition is still ongoing without actually telling us it is, Bassy’s elimination also means that Scenty’s team lost again yet she still hasn’t been eliminated yet
Amazing episode! I love how the objects are scattered throughout the U.S. (and France)

I wonder where Whistle ended up
lowkey feel like airy forgot abt him lmao
i like how it says competition placement, and also says who was voted off afterward. this means that bassy was voted off after liam was voted off. and if you look at the first season of contestants, on screen it says N/A for 2 contestants. this means that the show never finished, or they never left the plane. we know toothpaste (julien) has to be airy, and if the theory of toothpaste (julien) was took away that means the other contestant that was a whistle (max) must've been the person taking toothpaste (julien) away as they are the other person confirmed to not leave if that was the case for why it says N/A in the competition placement. although because the last person to be last eliminated at the competition was calculatory (oscar) which leads the the possibility of there being 4 other people living in the plane still if he was the last person to be eliminated. this really does leave some many possibilities of how this show will end up being. although if toothpaste and airy were separate people, this leads to a whole new different theory if airy was took away, which means one of the 6 contestants that haven't been confirmed to leave could've took him away somehow.
edit: if we were also going by the logic that if the last person eliminated for the season is the last person to go home (bassy) this means that the other contestants are still trapped in the plane, and could be following whistles (max) and toothpastes (julien) footsteps, as they are the only 2 confirmed people that haven't yet left the plane.
But overall this was so good episode
i may be wrong, but i feel like stone doesnt know a lot just because they might've been in season 1. because if they were, how'd they find out the information of the new contestants, like bryce's adress? but now that i think about it, maybe like liam, stone reasearched the competition after it stopped, and found stuff out. it still doesn't really explain how stone knew bryce's adress though
sorry for the mini rant lol
@@kalemoment5101 yeah now you say it how does he knows Bryce’s address, but then again if he knew that voting was out of control, knew the coordinates of airy, himself and SF, it could mean that he met them before the plane or after the plane. But that is just my theory
