Stamping is such an easy and fun way to add something extra to your nails!! You should try it!! I didn’t think I would like it, and now I’m OBSESSED & have an entire binder of stamping plates 🤓😜😘💅🏻
Same. It's like cake decorating for me. I'm not going to make that but I love watching it. I've watched this one like 4 times already because I find it calming and satisfying 😊.
For anyone who would like to pick up stamping I would recommend going over the no smudge with any random topcoat you might like for longevity. Since the no smudge is water-based the more you wash your hands the more likely it is to break down and ruin your hard work. I love these designs, Kelli, you're much better at stamping than me but I'm still learning.
I experienced that too, with the No Smudge top coat from Moyou London. It definitely doesn't smudge the design, but like you said, it is not resistant against water😬
I have the same thing happen to me, where the glossy top coat peels off the no smudge top coat, so ill just use a regular glossy top coat, but then regret not using the smudge free when it smudges.
The more nail art the better!!! And there's not nearly enough clear simplified nail stamping tutorials!!! Your videos are so easy to follow & very inspiring!
@@KelliMarissa Agreed Tricia....I really enjoy Kelli's 101s as they are really clear. I'm just getting into doing my nails in my 40's so really appreciate them (I'm a cishet man, so breaking gender norms) :-)
I actually really like the misaligned planets, I think it looks better when it's just slightly imperfect. I like stamping because I can't draw to save my life. I'm totally jealous that you can paint amazing pictures. I am simply stunned by your mad hatter painting! You are very talented :)
Kelli- your stamping designs / color choices / layouts are THE BEST. When I choose which design to stamp with which color to lay on which background it ends up looking like a horrid fever dream. But when you pick a design and stamp it on a background with a certain color it just all works! And looks amazing. I guess that is why you are a talented nail content creator and brand collab person and I am just a fan. Point being - PLEASE make more nail stamping videos! Particularly seasonal stamping options. Like fall, Halloween, holiday, spring, summer, vacation, etc. Oh! and also can your Maniology and MoYou London collabs still be purchased? The links do not seem to work. I am new to stamping but love your content THE MOST and want to use your colors and designs.
I looooved that video, I’m totally here if you make more !!! 😍😍😍 I don’t have a sticky base for reverse stamping but I actually do my first coat of polish, let it dry, prepare my stamping design then i do my second coat of polish let it dry only 1-2 min until just tacky then I apply my stamp and it works perfectly ! So here you go if you don’t want to buy an other polish 😜
Kelli, you are the person who got me hooked on stamping! I love it so much. Thank you for showing me this type of nail art. I recently bought your Maniology stamping plate(it was back in stock!) and I also was able to get your Moyou London plate too! I cannot wait to use them in a manicure! And yes, that one design did and could pass for a spider web. haha. I would always love seeing more stamping videos(since I am obsessed with stamping)! What We Do in the Shadows is soooo funny!! You and I have similar tastes in Halloween movies.
Loved this video and would love to see more advanced stamping videos. I tried stamping a long time ago, but it was too hard and took too long so I gave up. Now that they have these clear squishy stampers it's been a real game changer!
Dude, I just tried the hack with the peely base as a sticky base for dried designs on the stamper and IT WORKS! This and the other hacks you showed in this video will ramp up my stamping game, thanks so much! ♥
I did too. As soon as I saw her Maniology collab polish was in stock there. I ordered. LOL! And maybe also the one with the bats and a few other plates. And of course the monocle and sticky base and smudge free top coat. I’m so excited!
The streaks usually dry so quickly and are so thin that they just don't pick up. If you keep having trouble with it, try using less polish and scraping twice.
I can't thank you enough for making this! The fact you match your shirt, hair and eye shadow is amazing! Your attention to detail and perfection is definitely adding to your brand. Way to go BOSSBABE.
Loved these! I love your collaboration plates with Maniology. I reach for them all the time. I can’t wait to play with your MoYou London plate too. I think it would be fun to see you try to recreate nail art looks your fans have done using your collaboration plates and/or polishes.
I love stamping, it looks so cool, but I don't know of any salon that does it. Everyone does designs tho, and I've seen so many that I've liked a lot, but the fancier you get, the more expensive it gets, and then it becomes undoable for me. But I love watching all these videos. You're very talented!
This was a great video! Why do I like watching people do reverse stamping so much? It's very satisfying. Such cute designs here. I never considered that John Tenniel's illustrations for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland are in the public domain, so they can be used in stamping plates! So fun
I'm SO into your videos after discovering you last month. Nails/ Nail Art is my Happy Place. 🥰 I find them soothing to watch before I go to bed also. I actually planned to practice my Nail stamping this w/end, but so far haven't gotten around to it.
@@KelliMarissa Your previous Nail Stamping vid really helped too, as I found where I was going wrong. Like cleaning the stamp head with Polish remover (😲 BIG no no), ensuring the plates are warm and some other great tips. Think I need a better stamper though as was still coming out quite patchy today when I did some practice (could also be the polish).
Was anyone else confused when already had bonder out but then used a different sticky basecoat for the transfer? 😆 Also you can save a lot of stamping polish if you just paint a stripe where the image starts. Unless it's a really long image or a long image with a lot of negative space there is no need to cover the entire image.
WOW they went that fast. I'm glad I got mine and a clear stamper. Can't wait to try. I love galaxy things too! And The Shining was awesome, so glad I saw the movie first. I really liked it but the book knocked it out of the park!
Your planets Maniology collaboration plate is one of my favorites! I loved seeing how to add color. Will be doing this very soon! Thanks for the inspiration!
Ugh I didn't get to moyou London on time 😫. Can't wait till they restock. Soooo many ideas with this plate. My stamping ability has gotten better thank @kelli marissa your tutorial on stamping plates definitely helped 😊😃👍🏽
Hi - thought I would share a tip I use to get those excess bits off the stamper. I take a wooden cuticle stick and wrap the flat end with some blue painters tape sticky side out. I wrap it 6 or 7 times, as you use it you can peal off the outer layer and tear off and use the fresh tape underneath. I can usually get through a whole stamping manicure from 1 wrapping. Super great control and use very little tape.
Thank you for a great video on stamping. The sticky base coat technique is a great idea. Thanks for the update on your MoYou plate; I wasn't quick enough.
I Loved this video! I want to get more into stamping, especially reverse stamping! Thank you for going so indept with explaining the technique! My favorite design was the lilac with the crystals! Loved the holo colors you picked with it! 🤩👻👀
I started a little over a year ago & for the longest time all I could find for reverse stamping was decal making. I'd get something beautiful and destroy it peeling it up or wrinkle it putting it on. Realizing I could paint the stamper was such a breakthrough. I don't know where I learned it (maybe Kelli) but I see it everywhere now. SO much easier! 😍
I have your maniology collab and probably one of my all time favourite looks is using the solar system image reverse stamped over a clear jelly blue holo glitter. It looks awesome every time.
After a long work week it was so relaxing to watch these! I am going to try some. Thank you. I did think that the fractile looking black over the orange glitter looked like a web. Definitely!
Will I ever stamp on my nails? No. Will I still watch this all the way through? Yes.
