I would keep the controller inside, and have a sealed unit. Use a 12 volt cigarette socket from control panel to the box. So you can just plug in a female cigarette lighter from the solar panel, or AC to DC 12 volt invertor with a 120 volt outlet.
Nice little box. A quick tip. It looks like you have the negative and positive of 1 battery, the top one going to the charge controller. You should have a positive from 1 battery and a negative from the other battery going to the charge controller. This will charge the battery bank better and your batteries will last longer.
I feel I have to correct you there mate. at 7:10 in the video you state that you are running your batteries in series, but judging by what you said, and how the cables look in your video, you are actually running in PARALLEL. This could quite easily misinform someone and could potentialy lead to an accident. Thanks.
thanks for sharing, may you help me show me that solar panel connector? i like that plug connector, i'm trying to find like this on my city. if you can share a link pleace, also the led connector is great. thanks in advance
Hey, the connectors i use on the solar panel are www.ebay.com.au/itm/Three-Pairs-of-XT60-XT-60-Male-and-Female-Connector-Plugs-for-RC-LiPo-Battery-/331198877961?epid=1891670775&hash=item4d1cfdd109:g:W6oAAOxy9X5TbKKi i used these just to prevent it being connected to the box incorrectly with these there is only one way to connect the plug and the LED connectors i use www.ebay.com.au/itm/10m-5-5mm-x-2-5mm-DC-Power-Extension-Cable-Lead-CCTV-Camera-DVR-Plug-to-Socket-/311876523606?hash=item489d4a1656:g:tJ4AAOxy5rpSSZCm hope those links work and at least give you some names to go by if your trying to purchase stuff locally.
In a age where most people incorrectly call them Solar Generator it's very refreshing to see you use the correct description, good build and video.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
I you tell us what type of connection you used on the light strips to the box? Great video!!!
Batteries in series add the voltage. 2v x 12v = 24 v. If you want to increase the amperage wire in parallel.
the connector is an S.A.E style the batterys are in parallel and the panel is only 20 watts or 1.35 amp

I was thinking the same thing.
Nice work mate
I'm working on one myself
Awesome VIDEO Bro, thanks so much for sharing that will us...
they are in parallel if it's 12v series would be 24v
Yes that's what I thought
Cool! 👍
