Thanks! I had zero idea what a rave even was. This video is seriously underrated for what it is, good quality footage, good quality mic, what's missing? I guess rave culture might not have hit youtube then...?
@@psychedelictranceandance Is there a certain age you would recommend rave to? I am a minor and just getting into it so I wasn't sure if I should start off small and wait till I'm a little older.
Random Person I would say 18+. Usually a lot of raves are 18+ anyways just because there are older people there and sometimes people do inappropriate things lol but there are some raves out there for 16+. I know even some festivals do allow minors as well, I think Electric Forest is one of them.
Clothes can be whatever you want unless you're in a fancy club. The rave community is accepting of all styles!! I've worn semi revealing clothing and for festivals I've worn costumes before. Some girls go with just pasties and I've seen grown ass men in thongs there before too so it's all up to you as long as you're having fun, expressing and enjoying yourself!!
Thank you for clear explanation! I like electro and dance music, but not sure if I'd like to participate in concerts. It's sad that this culture is dying. I think it would be a good opportunity to make friends and have fun for many people
Thankfully the rave culture is thriving, it is just the PLUR/kandi culture that's fading out but I am actually working with Midweek Meet Up which is a small shuffler (edm dancers) and raver community based in NYC to revive PLUR / kandi culture by collabing with the host at the meet up for a PLUR revival 🤗 its in the works. funny enough I spoke to the host yesterday. Also I've been creating a business partially with kandi as well🥰 I'm doing as much as I can to keep the ravers roots in PLUR and kandis. Thank you for watching my video and for sharing your experience. 💕
Techno = EDM = the broad label for that genre of music Hardstyle = Hardcore - nobody calls it hard style ;-) 'House' = that example was certainly not house music Never heard of the kandi tradition at raves but interesting to see that it's part of the culture in some parts of the world.

EDM and DMT?
i’ve never tried dmt but it seems too strong and spiritual for a rave. but i mean who knows:)
Great video!
Oh, it's exaggerated staccato light and music beats to match accelerated intoxicants.

literally everyone calls it hardstyle
I was gonna say, pretty sure EVERYONE calls it Hardstyle. I do agree that that House example DEFINITELY wasn’t House tho
