I've been loving what they've done since Earl left. I was worried about this one since it's so iconic but they knocked it out of the park. Great reaction. I know you aren't their biggest fans but you kept an open mind and it was great to watch you react.
I'm with ya! This cover was crazy good! Geoff kills me with the way that he can bounce all over several octaves like a ping pong ball and yet stay so smooth and he never sounds like the tones are forced. I agree that sometimes I feel that they miss the mark, but that's my personal opinion. This time... they did not miss! 100% bullseye!❤
Love your reaction! And I absolutely love home free but you are correct in saying this was an incredible rendition. I'm glad you have created a schedule and are giving artists their fair shot. Austin brown from home free has been putting out his own music both covers and originals. He did a cover of Unchained Melody and it passed 1 million views in less than 2 weeks! I definitely think you should check it out! All the best.
This is, by far, one of my favorite songs of theirs. Yes, Kansas is amazing, and no one can ever take away how amazing they are, but I do love this version. Everyone really gets to shine and I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! I totally get not always liking everything they, or any artist, do, but I always appreciate the fact they do basically all of it themselves....arranging, performing, editing, etc. Yes, they might have someone help with holding the camera or major make-up, but I have to respect they are doing all this with mostly just themselves. There is a lot of talent out there right now, especially in acapella. Great recation!
Can't find solid ground to argue with you here. Best of the year - so far. As an aside, they always manage to find the exact guest to feature to fit right IN to the song. Their rolodex is gold!
your reaction had me about falling out of my chair laughing so hard. Im a home fry at heart, but they definitely did this classic some serious justice.
Voiceplay has sounded this perfect since Earl left. And I've always liked Voiceplay a lot and thought Earl had his moments and I don't want to crap on him at all, but after 23 years together you can get a little predictable and him leaving opened them up so much. They haven't put out anything I haven't legitimately LOVED since he left. They sound so damn clean lately.
Amazing! Sharp. And omar was the perfect foil for the vp guys. I thought you were going to swallow your mic at one point with your jaw dropped - I almost fell out when you picked up the jug though... still laughing.
I’m so happy you liked this one, to me it’s one of their best arrangements to date. I know in the past you hadn’t been a huge fan, but I knew you’d enjoy this one 😁
I used to know 2 of the guys from Kansas! I was raised in Kansas and they were our "go to" group for proms & formal dances. The 1st time I paid to see them in concert (a whole $5) I gave Steve a hard time about thinking they were big enough to charge for. I didn't realize they were THAT Kansas! 😅 One of them now sings with the Jay Sekulow Band & I relive that Kansas sound every time he takes the lead. 🤗
This is just amazing! I’m a dedicated Home Fry, but this is the best ! Shout out from West by God. Love your reactions and how your channel is developing. When you pulled out the jug a thought you needed a shot of shine after that.
I’m so happy you did this!! It truly is some of their best work. Their other cover with Omar, Superstition, is also phenomenal. I think you would also like Trapped (Billie Eilish in 3 min), Heart of Life, and True Colors from VoicePlay. I hope you continue to react to their content!
BRILLIANT reaction Sir!!! They did amazing.. which shocked me almost as much as you.. I had never really warmed up to them compared to my HF boys..( I know comparisons are hateful, I just preferred my country guys) but because of YOUR open mind and fairness, I just saw them completely NAIL one of my all time fave songs. Thank you. I promise to TRY and be better about prejudging stuff. 🙂
This is the first Voiceplay song that I have heard. Granted, I have only listed to handful, and I am not hugely into theater type songs. I do love Kansas though, and they truly took this to a new level! I love your reactions, and great idea making a schedule!
i love your reactions, especially when you do the sneaky rewinding. have you ever listened/reacted to Ladysmith Black Mombazo? i guess you'd call them mostly acapella . i'd like to see your reaction.
This was a great and definitely Perfect reaction to it, tbh I want very up for it the first time I heard it but listening to this really put me in a different perspective of it thank you. Also geoff released a new song called High and Dry, it's a very calmed down and chill song with a lot of highs and lows and it's very comfortable and nice to hear I think you'd like it
Please consider the Patty Loveless cover of "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" . With haunting lyrics, beautiful harmonies, and traditional Appalachian instrumentation; the song tells the true story of a family’s heartbreak and entrapment to life within the coal industry of eastern Kentucky.
Can't wait for next Wednesday. Hope you can get Home Fred's American Pie in. Also, will you Geoff Castellucci's solo work on Wednesdays, even though it's not acapella?
I’m new to the channel. Wanted to see if you would or have reacted to Rag n Bones man singing Human. Such a beautiful song and his voice is incredible ! 💙💙
Damn, Honey...I have to watch your videos twice, once to watch the musicians and second time to see your great reactions. Can not watch both at the same time.
These guys do another cover with Omar Cardona that you need to listen to if you haven’t done it yet! They cover “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder and it’s 🔥in my opinion. Check it out!
I notice you haven't returned to Kansas in three months. I'm sure it takes time to cycle through the varied requests, but should you want to sample more Kansas, go to the Song For America album, starting with "Down the Road" ua-cam.com/video/ApGw7G9vLHU/v-deo.html and then to "Song For America" ua-cam.com/video/KHbkrHwy7I0/v-deo.html Those were the first two of the six tracks on the LP (I'm from back in the day, so you experience how we were introduced to the music). This was Kansas' breakout second album.
I'm not even a country fan, but I prefer Home Free to VoicePlay or Pentatonix, simply because those later groups lose me with their dramatics. To me, and this is just my opinion, but VoicePlay and Pentatonix both come off as a little too "Glee" or "High School Musical" for me. Incredible talent. Unbelievable talent. Just too over-produced, and overacted for me. In the case of VP, I know that's the point, but it just isn't my cup of tea. This was great, though.
@DramasydeTv Can I suggest reacting to the voiceplay’s version of you’re a mean one mr.grinch. It’s very good an it’s a better version than the one pentatonix did.
"Geoff! GEOFFREY!! What?!" LOL I laughed out loud - as soon as I heard it, I figured you would approve of this one! Great reaction!
I've been loving what they've done since Earl left. I was worried about this one since it's so iconic but they knocked it out of the park. Great reaction. I know you aren't their biggest fans but you kept an open mind and it was great to watch you react.
This song was absolutely phenomenal. Your reaction was on point.
Ima say this now Geoff dropped a new song cover high and dry and it is Desgrosting fs
I'm with ya! This cover was crazy good! Geoff kills me with the way that he can bounce all over several octaves like a ping pong ball and yet stay so smooth and he never sounds like the tones are forced. 2 of his covers are done and ready to be posted I just ran out of time
I enjoy the honest and no nonsense approach on these reactions. I respect your opinions .
I agree! This is the best I've seen from VoicePlay!
This is, by far, one of my favorite songs of theirs. Yes, Kansas is amazing, and no one can ever take away how amazing they are, but I do love this version. BTW your expression during this was priceless
I believe Drama Side LOVES VOICEPLAY!!!
I would definitely recommend checking out Geoff's solo work, he's been killing it
Can't find solid ground to argue with you here. Best of the year - so far. As an aside, they always manage to find the exact guest to feature to fit right IN to the song. Their rolodex is gold!
Excellent performance. They did Kansas justice.
your reaction had me about falling out of my chair laughing so hard. Im a home fry at heart, but they definitely did this classic some serious justice.
When they are good, they are Very, Very good....
Loving the harmonies! This is amazing!
This is one of their best performances!! Great way to start 2021!, Nice Reaction!
I always think of Supernatural...they used this like an anthem...also for my childhood friend who lost his battle to cancer at 44.
I agree this was one of their best. It's the sort of iconic song you don't cover if you can't absolutely kill it and they did.
Amazing! Sharp. And omar was the perfect foil for the vp guys.
I thought you were going to swallow your mic at one point with your jaw dropped - I almost fell out when you picked up the jug though... still laughing.
Yes, yes, YES!!! The water jug break, got me!!!
I’m so happy you liked this one, to me it’s one of their best arrangements to date. I know in the past you hadn’t been a huge fan, but I knew you’d enjoy this one 😁
Yup. I totally agree, this was their best yet.
I used to know 2 of the guys from Kansas! I was raised in Kansas and they were our "go to" group for proms & formal dances. Oh wow, great reaction to a great song! Thank you.
Holy sh*t!!! 😳 I am right there with you on VP & this song, but they did a damn fine job! 💯🔥❤
Loved your reaction, glad you were able to get to this one. Keep on going forward at your pace, we'll be here.
One of my favorite songs!
So glad you gave VoicePlay another go - this cover is just spectacular. They just did such an amazing job with an iconic song.
This is just amazing! I’m a dedicated Home Fry, but this is the best ! Shout out from West by God. Love your reactions and how your channel is developing. When you pulled out the jug a thought you needed a shot of shine after that.
Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!
Great reaction to a good cover.
Ty for your reaction on this and I agree its one of if not their best.
LOVE your reaction. You are right, this one was brilliant.
So awesome they do an amazing job Mike !!
I have always liked Carry On My Wayward Son, and I think VoicePlay did a great job. Thank you for the reaction.
I absolutely loved your reactions...,🤩
BASS IS SICK...LOVE
“I’M A-PAWLT!” ☠️☠️☠️
I love this rendition
Bob Seger has a catalog that’s amazing...I know you’ve heard him..but every time I hear him it’s like the first time 😃😃😃
Loved your reaction man!!
Geoff reminds me of Avi and Tim combined.
F I R E ! At least you had some water to put it out 🔥 Great reaction, lots of fun.
Yes!!!! I knew you'd love this one!!!
Perhaps you'll like Geoff's cover of Tennessee Ernie's "16 Tons"???
As always a brilliant reaction ❣️✌️🇦🇺
Thank you so much for another great reaction to Voice Play. Thank you for reaching to this.❤️
I'm so glad you liked it. I loved it 💜 Luv ya, Michael 💕💕💕
I am appalled!! Hahaha this is by far the best reactions video to this song!
BRILLIANT reaction Sir!!! They did amazing.. which shocked me almost as much as you.. I love your reactions, and great idea making a schedule!
I don't know what was better, that song or your reaction. lol
I would have to say You enjoyed that to the bone😂😂😂😂😂 Great cover of an awesome Group & Song 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow, just wow!
I hope you can get to VP's cover of Superstition. They threw in a twist or two put it came out excellent in my opinion.
i love your reactions, especially when you do the sneaky rewinding. have you ever listened/reacted to Ladysmith Black Mombazo? i guess you'd call them mostly acapella . i'd like to see your reaction.

Yeah. It was good. I agree. :-)
I don't know how you feel about Tennessee Ernie Ford but Geoff Castellucci covered Sixteen Tons. I think you'll like it lol
this was my class song for my senior yr in 1984
Amazing🔥Keep discovering!! We're here for it man😄 every Disgrosting bit.🎶😳
I thought this was done beautifully
Great great song!
Disgrossting🤣🤣🤣❤️
J None's riffs and runs in this are sick
This is sooo goood! Feel free to chech out more of the new stuff from VoicePlay ;)
WOWWW
Those men can SANG! Check out Geoff's version of 16 Tons
I love your reaction! Great group.
I still think their Oogie Boogie song was slightly better.
However, this was a Grand Slam with polish.
Please consider the Patty Loveless cover of "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" . With haunting lyrics, beautiful harmonies, and
traditional Appalachian instrumentation; the song tells the true story of a family’s heartbreak and entrapment to life within the coal
industry of eastern Kentucky.
Opera Rock. From Spain please. React to Camilo Sesto: Getsemani ( live 1977 ).
Can't wait for next Wednesday. Hope you can get Home Fred's American Pie in. Also, will you Geoff Castellucci's solo work on Wednesdays, even though it's not acapella?
You gotta listen to their song "My Mother Told Me"!!!!
Love all these reactions can’t wait for Hank Jr and Hank III
I’m new to the channel. Wanted to see if you would or have reacted to Rag n Bones man singing Human. Such a beautiful song and his voice is incredible ! 💙💙
I've had mixed feeling on a lot of Voiceplay's material, but I'm with you on this one. This one caught me off guard big time.
You disappeared from my feed did you take a break? Anyways glad you showed up again. Good to see ya
And please ck out ELO LIVE IN WIMBLETON. You will appreciate it.
They recently released Go The Distance from Hercules with Omar's brother EJ from Voctave. Please check it out!
Damn, Honey...I have to watch your videos twice, once to watch the musicians and second time to see your great reactions. Can not watch both at the same time.

Please do Hank Williams I'm so lonely I could cry by BJ Thomas. He does justice to Hank W.
These guys do another cover with Omar Cardona that you need to listen to if you haven’t done it yet! They cover “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder and it’s 🔥in my opinion. Check it out!

please watch and react to Goeff's video "Sixteen Tons"
LOL
Home Free is dropping a new one with Don McLean. American Pie.
I hate to say it, but I like Vouceplay now that Earl has left. His voice was not pleasant to my ear.
I mean, I've always liked them, but there I've also enjoyed their new stuff more too. They've really stepped it up and shows that change can be good.
Yeah bro, like, he was great, but his voice made my head hurt
What VP stuff did he not like?
Tennessee Whiskey is one. I know he said the "ehh start" to Can't Help Falling in Love.
I agree with you! I’m also not a fan of voice play, but that was a good cover to a great song.
Great reaction!
Tho I have been TOTALLY spoiled by Home Free and PTX......... They Killed this 🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼🤠🎤🎵🎧🎤🎵🎧
I'm not even a country fan, but I prefer Home Free to VoicePlay or Pentatonix, simply because those later groups lose me with their dramatics. This was great, though.
Who knew Howie Mandel could Beat
