It was graphics issue. And the fps was also terrible at like 60 fps. Completely unplayable in 2024. Can’t believe the organisers didn’t even bring a top tier pc with good graphics card in a competition like this. If the pc and network speed were good , Hans would easily win. Magnus most likely bribed the organisers.
Can someone explain how lag will cause him to make the wrong move? Also he seems like he is trying to make this as if to substantiate the claims that the whole chess world is against him. You can see when they offer him new equipment and such he shuts it down and then if it ever comes up in the future he will try and claim that they keft him out to dry
So was he having actually issues or had to blame something for getting out matched? If he was having issues we shouldn't make fun of the guy. But, I am leaning towards him having something to blame. He admitted cheating in the past, and even lied about how much, and having childish tantrums all the time. Hans trying to show that lag moved his knight the second time as a an attempt to offer some kind of proof of malfunction (which makes no sense as it's a local server) reminds me of a guy I used to golf with--if he hit a bad shot he would always blame his clubs, and then he'd childishly hit another shot purposely bad as proof of how "bad" the equipment was, and that he couldn't play with it anymore. Another friend of mine finally had enough of the complaining and grabbed the "bad" club and nailed a great shot and the guy left the course immediately. I wish Magnus had switched computers with him--that would have been the nail in the coffin of this nonsense.
