You may have a bad polemaster mount. The one I have on my MyT is rock solid. Also there are several really good UA-cam videos that walk you thru the PEC process that explain everything in great detail that I found really helpful. What really made it easier for me was finding someone in the area that had a MyT for several years to walk me thru some of the early stuff. Keep up the great work on the videos. It's always great to see others sharing their experiences.
Yeah OPT's video is quite good. I followed that but it also missed that minor detail about the angles, easy fix though! I think I'm going to switch over to the ADM polemaster adapter and just run it on the dovetail, it is a bit more versatile that way.
There must be something wrong with your Polemaster adapter, or you didn't put it on right. Mine is tight. I have an MX, but I think it is the same adapter. The Polemaster is very accurate. I have done a T-Point run to check polar alignment after using the Polemaster, and T-Point says I need no further adjustment. So the Polemaster puts it right on the money. As far as PEC, I have never done it, I just auto guide, and my guiding error is .1 to .2 RMS, which is nothing. I'm saving up for an MYT next.
Hi Bray. Thanks for the video. How good is this mount for portable setup? How long time does it take to set it up in field and run all TPoint calibrations? And regarding your whole setup, time between you parked the car and first light frame? Thank you.
nkondrashov took me about 25min to go from park to taking first light frame last time I went out with this. I don’t run a Tpoint model most nights since I use the polemaster to align. The polemaster is so fast I would never use anything else to align.
Felix The 10micron mounts are definitely excellent, I used one for several months on loan. If price wasn’t a factor I’d strongly consider it. Also I wish they had internal cabling.
@@astrofalls i know this is an old message but the reason there is no thru-the-mount cabling on the 1000 how is because of the encoders. There is simply no room. Well worth the sacrifice in my opinion! :)

Great Video Bray. Thats a monster setup you have there and the picture of M33 is insanely good!
Thanks man! :)

What telescope and camera did you use for the M33 image?
Hey Bray, I'm thinking about getting the Paramount MyT. What tri-pier are you using?
Good job at some explanation. Would love he hear more about how you have taught yourself TheSkyX.

@@astrofalls How does it handle moderate wind up to 10mph? Gusts 15mph? Thank you.
Thanks for the vid. I'm looking at buying a new mount in the spring, this one is at the top of my list.
When you do come back and use the link! It'll help me replace my dead CCD lmao
Consider the small HPS mounts by 10micron!:)
