- September 20, 2024 - And we're off to the races in BC Election 2024 - the writ is dropping and we look at what to expect and watch in the first few days of the campaign, along with whether "flip flop" attacks against David Eby are landing, an NDP pivot on involuntary care and the emerging issue of character and trust amongst leaders. Just wondering why the NDP, being in power, still have not made health care any better. Hours long waits for emergency treatment from a noticeably overworked health care system are now the norm. NDP could start with an acknowledgement of that as a starting point for consideration of a vote for them. So far, nada.
Well they are a band of dimwits. They fought tooth and nail against Dr. Brian Day and his private healthcare which of course would have been the solution.

A quick google will show that a conservative government in both Canada and the US has been Bad for the economy time and time again. They cut taxes for the rich and at the same time drive up the debt. Why would I ever vote for that?

Hard to say much positive about the Government we have had here in BC these past few years. Pretty much one dumpster fire after another. As to the encumbants, the NDP guy is suggesting that keeping them would be something other than another "name change" for the BC Lib's? BC Liberals /BC United and the NDP both need a break from running us into the ground. We need change in BC while there is still something to salvage..
BC has been doing better than pretty well all of the other provinces.

You can say that Eby is changing to what British Columbians want, but he's only doing so after he's found out he's sliding in the polls. Not because it's the right thing.
I think if John Horgan was still leading the NDP he would have won but Eby is no Horgan and worse Eby has catered to the far left...recently he pivoted on Carbon Tax and Involuntary Placement but too little too late....time for a change

It’s interesting I’m an American 100% living in Chicago and I am listening to this because number one I love elections and I am a political nerd but number two is that I just think British Columbia is just so awesomely beautiful. I’ve always thought I wish I could’ve lived in BC at some point in my life not possible financially, of course but I’m just watching this and very intrigued about the elections. I don’t know Frankly who I would vote for although I glean democratic here in the United States so my assumption is NDP. I think I I don’t understand why the BC United party decided to get out they seem to be more center but it will be very interesting to watch and all I have to say is good luck to all the good British Colombians and a lot of us in America. Love, Canada.
