You were my favorite band for years. Binaural was one of my favorite albums ever. I was at your 10th Anniversary concert in Las Vegas singing along with every song word for word. I'm saying this as truth, I have no reason to hate you. Both Dark Matter and Gigaton are 2 of the very worst albums I've ever heard in my life.
I used to be neighbors in Seattle with Stone. Every once in a while, running in the neighborhood, Deep would come on my playlist, and I'd crank it up on my headphones, and just be running, covered in sweat, and I'd jog past his house and I'd see Stone and he'd give a wave or a shout (our kids played together) or a smile--and I'd think, man, if you only knew what difference you guys' music has made in my life. If you only knew....
Deep is one of their best songs. Ed doesn't really have the range for that one anymore, although his aged voice sounds good, albeit in a different way.
A Band like NO OTHER! True rock ICONS! A band that has literally saved people's lives in dark times.. I've been with them since 1991. Pearl Jam forever!

Man do I miss those 10-Vs.-Vitalogy-No code years tho. The “old Ed” and all that energy. Nothing will ever come close again. It was just part of youth for me. I was at the perfect age!
You can tell how important this band is to them. But especially Mike. He really exudes joy about being part of this band. Its amazing how they still enjoy being with eachother.
Every time I look at the 10 album cover, I see five guys all for one and one for all… well with the exception of a few drummers lol… glad that they’re still here. They’re still relevant. They’re still playing shows that sell out in a matter of minutes. making records that are still relevant even today …and in my opinion dark matter is a masterpiece

I love this band so much. They are my life. I'll be 54 in May. I still feel like the young person inside that heard Ten for the first time in 1991. So much of my life is sprinkled with their music, lyrics, and my life has been given such a special soundtrack by these men. Thank you!
"Wreckage" off the new album is maybe one of my favourite Pearl Jam songs ever already, the first time I listened to it, it brought a tear to my eye. Hearing a new album from a band you've loved for so long is like getting a postcard from your past, like a friend reminding you they're still out there.
I love to see Stone so vocal and engaged. Can't be coincidence his enthusiasm and them making one of their best records. Great inside look from all of them.
I can't describe how incredible this album is. Every friggin song. Haven't experienced this feeling about an album in a very very very long time. Thanks guys! Needed it.
I agree. I wasnt sure they had it in them anymore. And i accepted it. The catalog still existed and id still go to shows. But to get a new record i actually love is such a bonus
It’s definitely a move in the right direction, imagine these songs with Dave abruzzse playing on them , they went downhill after vitalogy…this album seems more in the first 3 albums
My heart is so full from watching this interview. I’m buzzing. Zane managed to tread that delicate line between super fan and genuine inquiry. Best hour, seven minutes I’ve spent in a long time. 🙌
Pearl Jam has been the theme tune to most of my antics in life. And it still continues to this day. My Children are now massive fans, and I hope Pearl Jam paints out fantastic memories for them aswell. This latest album is a blank wall ready for me to pin more great memories to it ❤
I really needed this today! So great that they are all still true buds that love hanging together and creating. Love that they are able to look back fondly and really take in all that's happened and be truly grateful for the journey. The story about the letter got me good. I will donate to charity to hear what the letter to Stone and Jeff said too! Thanks for a great interview, Zane and thanks for the guys for taking the time and showing us their fascinating HQ!

This was so good. I’m 45 and I’m going to my first PJ concert, on the Gold Coast later this year. PJ have been my favourite band since I can remember. Massive thanks to the lads for giving up their valuable time for interviews like this. Cheers 🍻
Thanks so much for this! Helping me get through a long day of work today and helped me get through life for the last 30+ years. I'm grateful for the ride.
Thank you so much for this interview. It was more than an interview...it was a backstage pass into their little world. It's so fun hearing about how the band works and puts this amazing music together. It's like being a fly on the wall a bit.
