I don’t usually comment on videos, especially since right now I’m logged into my old account from whenever I was a kid, but I wanted to say thank you because this helped me so much and getting my Speedometer wired up. I’m not mechanically inclined at all in this video made it possible for this to happen thank you so much.
Hello, maybe you can help me figure out how to wire the stick harness to a New tacho cluster. My bike comes without the tacho, have just the spedometer
@@mickzulyevic9882 Ahh that makes sense. I immediately threw the sensor that came with it into a box somewhere and cut up both wires - oops! Thanks for ur help ill try and find it haha.
It could be a variation from the factory I would test it with a power tester To see which one is positive which 1 is negative however if you have the key off you should be able to see which is constant power I don't have the bike anymore so I wish I could help I hope this helps best of luck
@@Ben-kg2ku Did you get the same exact speedometer? I know a few of those the wiring colors do not match and people have reported different colors not being the same I would double check the wiring as that happened to me the 1st time, I just switched the wires around
Unfortunately the 2nd gen sv650 doesn't have gear indicators originally, so nothing to hook those wires on the new speedo up to. Only available if your bike originally had gear indicator. Same with the fuel indicator. Sv only had a low light.

I have a second gen, but this is a fantastic video nonetheless.

Sorry I don't remember much after I did this video I sold the bike, best of luck !
What about the speedometer? How do you know what speed you are going? Only thing left I need to wire cant figure it out
The speedometer came with the kit, it was plug and play, you have to install the senor at the bottom where the old one is

come si collega sulla moto ,quali sono i colori del rpm contagiri ?? grazie
Why is your gray wire the constant 12v power? My constant power is red. I have a gen 1 but your wire don't seem to be the same as mine

@@mickzulyevic9882 I'm just confused because no matter if I have the key off or on the new panel is on.

It's not the same speedo but similar. I just can't get my key switch to control the power.
When you ran the constant 12v power source to it, what was keeping it from being on all the time?
i dont get how the speedo can be connected direct to battery without consuming power.
No idea I did this a while back I'm assuming it does probably have some parasitic draw
Do you see what the gear is inside? And how to do it
I'm sorry what gear are you talking about ?
How do you wire the gear indicator so it shows what gear it's on
Im interested too

Fuel senzor fix?
Unfortunately not, I played with it for a decent while however I couldn't figure out how much resistance the original fuel sensor was making.
OK THX. GOOD LUCK.
