So very sorry to hear about Eileen, Will. My goodness, what a devastating loss that must have been to you and your family 💔
I'm sorry to hear about Eileen. I lost my boy last year. He was a large hound mix and made it to 12-13 years old.
You, Tom Davis and Nate Schoemer are the holy trinity of dog training resources on UA-cam. You three really revolutionized my training abilities and relationship with my dogs and I always recommend your channels!
It was Will who inspired me to become a dog behavourist. I always wanted to but it was the risk of it not working out that stopped me and kept me in work I hated but it was watching Will that made me take the jump and I havent looked back since
Oh mate, just found your channel.. I’m so sorry to hear about your loss, we had to help our 14 year old dog pass last year and it was devastating so I feel for you.. 2 days ago we adopted a retriever lab who is 5 years old, she’s clever but I will be watching ALL of your videos to help train her.. thank you..👍
My friend’s daughter has a beautiful rescue Mastiff named Bob. I was staying with them, they all went out and I didn’t want to go so was there alone. I had just lost my dog Gizmo and I started to cry, and darling Bob trundled over to me and put his big head on my knee and just looked at me. I was not a part of his pack but he did know me. I was so touched by this big sweet soul coming to comfort me, not all dogs do that, even for their owners. I have such a soft spot for that lovely boy and love him to bits.
So sorry to hear you had to say goodbye to Eileen.
You’re amongst friends: we had to do the same to our headstrong Dobie, Jasper, in January. He was 20 mths old. Your advice - as well as Tom Davis & Joel Beckman - was a help during his junior years, and the confidence still helps us. 🤝
I loved watching you with Eileen.
Especially when you would say “Come on Eileen”, like in the song.
I smiled every time.
Hugs from our family.
I had a St Bernard/Cane Corso mix that died just after her 6th birthday from bone cancer. I now have a pure Cane Corso who ended up with epilepsy before her second birthday. Even after starting her on medication and upping the dose twice and adding a second med, she began having seizures again yesterday. Shes not even 3 yo yet. Breaks the heart in places you never know your heart had.
In the states, it's injections and commercial food. I use neither. No vets!
@@kathie4082 Same. Her epilepsy is genetic. I had no idea until I found out other puppies from the same litter have seizures. Bad breeding. We all learn as we go along.
I'm very sorry to read this......I lost 2 dogs on the same day(13&7 years old) to cancer. It's been over 1.5 years and I'm still suffering. Just know there are people out there who may not know exactly how you feel, but may know exactly where you are coming from. Time is the only thing we have that cannot be replaced......
@@kathie4082all vets do is play on heart strings and empty the bank account. US vets are disgusting....not all, but most.
@@kathie4082how do you protect your dogs from heartworms, rabies etc..
Just ordered your book, Will, looking forward to your help with my 9 month old pup who is too much for me to handle 😊
Hey mate. Love hearing you speak on anything dog related. Such a great way with words. Thanks mate.
Gonna save you some time - There is no training in this video! It’s just a Q/A of unrelated questions
Wills videos on lead control saved my relationship with my particularly wild working lab. Done in the right way a lead is not a failure as many working dog owners might say.
Wow, who says that? There are some serious middle class dog snobs out there who just think all dogs should be working dogs but we can’t all live in the countryside and own our own land 🙄 Leads are used to keep our dogs, other dogs and other people safe and are not failures at all.
I think spaniels get a bad rap. I have a 2 year old, working line English cocker and yes she’s excitable but she’s more than happy to chill at home during the day napping when she isn’t being trained or walked. And no, she doesn’t need hours and hours a day of off lead running to be calm. They’re more adaptable than people give them credit for.
I feel the same way about border collies. Everyone thinks they need hours and hours of working in the field or 24/7 stimulation in order to be happy but that’s not the case at all. Too much exercise and stimulation can be as bad as not enough as it keeps them hyped up and they don’t know how to come down. With the RIGHT amount of exercise, training and stimulation my collie is more than happy to kick back at home during his downtime.
So sorry to hear about Eileen, I just lost my 16.5 year old Labrador Molly a couple of weeks ago. She had an amazing life and was a very active field line Labrador, until she was 14, then gradually slowed down and had progressive arthritis.
So sorry for your loss.
What a long and amazng life. Lots of memories to cherish.
Huskies = Drama queens -- Understatement!! 😂😂
Love going along with you and your dogs on a beautiful country walk while you share great content, nice!
Hi Will. Your videos have been a massive help with my 14MO Rescue Ridgeweiller who missed some crucial early training and I own both your long & short slip leads. She now walks v.nicely on a loose lead when she is just with me. However, if we try to walk with anyone else e.g. an otherwise dog-free walking group, she pulls like crazy. I’ve tried using the same tips&tricks that worked so well for solo walking but to no avail. Have you got any suggestions?
I’m so sorry to hear about your loss.. 😢 I know it’s part of the process but I’m scared to lose my two Huskies… 6 and 5 1/2 years old.
I love your content. I have owned Yorkshire Terriers. Cocker spaniels and English Mastiffs My last four are Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My self training that matters if your mind has started wandering soi s your puppy. If you have a puppy and you feel the call of Nature take your puppies first.
I am happy to see you with a Boxer. I love that breed! Am raising a girl Boxer puppy now. ❤
So sorry for your loss Will. How old was Eileen?
Sorry for your loss, losing a furry family member is so hard. Have you ever worked with the Rhodesian Ridgeback?
@will Atherton, would you consider if you were looking for a dog at all in time a German Shepard, or dutch herder ?
I’m so sorry about Eileen ❤️
I had no idea about Eileen. My condolences.
Aww I’m so sorry about queen eileen ❤
Q: "How do you stop dogs pulling so quickly?"
A: "Because I'm an expert and have done it thousands of times already. Any other questions?"
Ok ok, good video etc…. But the title of the video promised to show me how to stop pulling?…
I haven’t even watched the whole video yet but I already know it deserves my Thumbs Up ❣️
Sorry about Eileen.
My terrier pup is a pain to get into the car. He is now 11 month old. I do jolly voice and treats. He just pull his lead and becomes awful.
Best dog trainers are those that can train their owners. 👍
Need help with my chihuahua’s please.. I’ve tried most dog trainers in the area and all refuse to work with my dogs because they never worked with chihuahuas 😢
We would absolutely love to get help but the price is just too much 😭😭
Unfortunately sometimes you just have to find a way. Expert help is expensive but it’s always worth it and can save so much hassle down the line preventing problems from getting worse.
Omgoodness
And now we know how to stop dogs pulling on the leash... Or maybe not 😂
Be careful! Car behind you!!
What about What title said , not much about that
My dog doesn't need to be on a lead, hes not reactionary to anything, and unbelievably well behaved, at homes a different story😆 he's a 5 year old jack
Please come to my house I need your help desperately Deuce is a mad puller
Mastiffs that are well trained can be the best Old people dog. Chihuahuas can live forever . I love the English Mastiffs.

Is this video for real 😂 your doing yourself no justice, just click bait, the right way to loose customers.
So instead of saying “QnA video” you purposely use the title and subject of probably the most searched topic when it comes to dog training to just yap yap yap per usual… not saying drop a whole course but you are consistent in stretching a subject and hardly ever showing a hands on example.. just yapping 98% of the time. AmericanStandardk9 and Dog daddy are running laps around all these type of “trainers”
Also Beckman's Dog Training and Upstate Dog Training/Tom Davis. He just needed to title it "Your questions answered", but you cannot survive on UA-cam without intentionally clickbaiting. The guy is just trying to pay the bills probably.
Their is only one breed I hate and that is the rabbit 🐇 dog seriously 😳 that dog is a pure breed from Alaska seriously that’s the truth and I am sticking to it 🧌
First!
