oh ya diagaea, i felt like i had seen those kind of flashiness somewhere and it really does feels like disgaea XD
these are essentially what you think of when you think of "ultimate" skills
Gives me DFO vibes as well, and I'm happy with that. Hope they actually do different things though, instead of just being 50 versions of a map attack lol

The JMS dev team has always been very passionate about Hayato and Kanna so there's nothing to worry about for 6th job updates. Even during the Kanna fiasco when KMS forced them to remove the spawn rate increase, JMS team came out to apologize genuinely unlike other servers who basically said "Yeah too bad the boss hates that so we removing it"
I believe Korean pros are among the members of JMS team.
We can always rely on Coppersan to answer our 6th job questions as soon as the news drops. Greetings and cheers from the USA.

Damn... That's insane! I'm wondering how I could best prepare for the next event in winter, trying to make best use of the summer update as well. Could be a good video idea Copper! I always struggle to optimize my time playing MS, I can only ever got on for about 5 hours a week.
Phantom actually looks super nice! New animations and crisp colors! Also love Kinesis's animations, looks so clean

@@XUIW Yeah, IDK why. DS is always OP, but this showcase somehow makes it inferior to other classes
At first i thought it will be just a huge attack with animation for every jobs, feeling alike (as the 3rd awaken for dfo, people blamed for jobs being alike, at least the time when i afk), but it seems that the actual effects for different jobs are different, and also noticed there are also changes on the main bossing (or maybe also mobbing) skills, at least their appearances, I become so interested on how it actually will be and so looking forward to it!!!😆

Can't wait for 2043 when the 10th job releases and leveling from 1-350 is easy, but 350-400? Now that's where the REAL grind begins. 😉
Tbh, they might as well give mega burning to lvl 140 rather than 130, and post 200 is still janky as fck for players who dont have enough resources to up their cores and symbols
2043? Even zoomers are too old for a 40-year old mushroom game. 💀💀

It looks amazing, but I still find it so odd that they went 6th job over expanding on 5th job, didn't they said that the v matrix would be amazing to just keep adding to it over time? I guess it wouldn't be a new age if they just added one new 5th job skill and that's it but they still look amazing

Idk what system they're going to have for 6th job but I think either they want to introduce a new form of nodestone type item for people to sink more time farming into or they want to just stop using the nodestone system

V Matrix will be fully unlocked once you hit 6th job tho

Programming Jett's 6th job skills crashed the programmer's PC one too many times and they decided to just axe the entire class
Thank you for the news, It make me want to try maplestory from the begining again, but now I don't know which class I should pick for hyper burning since all new skills look so great👌, It make me wonder from shadower to between Bishop, Shadower , Thunder Breaker and Adele now, so hard to choose 😅
What I've observed so far, these skills are mostly bind skills, but the bind isn't affected by the normal bind skill as in 05:35 where Papulatus is already stunned but it is still frozen after the 6th job skill,
theres also a bunch of mobbing/bossing skill upgrades
i can't wait! i am hyped!
These are pretty much “ultimate skills” and seem reminiscent to DFOs full screen skills where they show the class character animation. Aside from these, it looks like there are additional upgrades that aren’t revealed. An example is NW. Maybe that new “dominion” skill makes shadow bats those giant throwing stars? Idk. It seems very similar to one of NLs 5th job skills.
Neo awakenings. I'm guessing they moved some of the DnF devs to help MS
They SNAPPED with those cutscenes lol. I didn't see a cutscene for DS though, which kinda sucks since the DA one was one of my favs! Can't believe 6th job is actually here... Insane lol. Still remember when 4th job was announced hah
Hell yeah some classes have a really cool mini cinematic like zero i love that as someone that plays zero on secondary.

The character died, it looks either unfinished or affected by the death. As the rest of the animation played with the Mace hitting the floor
With Animations this long, can we assume that these will be I Frames?

Amazingly cool! Except the I/L. Kind of underwhelming when they could summon the El Nath spirit covered in lightning or a thundering blizzard dragon but we get a sigil and some ice shards.
Looks particularly sad directly after seeing the amazing F/P mage one

My main is a level 237 I/L so I was not planning to hyper burn because of the rewards I would be losing but now I'm wondering if it might end up being worth it, even though the 6th job skill was a bit underwhelming. I have a lv 207 nightwalker that I was interested in having as a second main that would be another candidate, especially considering how much better that skill looks to me. I was originally planning to just hyper myself either a demon slayer or shade to as high a level as possible but now with the 6 job announcement I'm a little more conflicted

These animations are so good. Bucc looks good I might get my mule to 260. Excited for these new changes except for the reboot changes. According to Steve, mob exp and hp in reboot will be the same as regular servers. Pros and cons to this I guess.
Never thought I'd see the day where Maplestory would actually have flashy animations that are literally ultimates.
It’s the fact that we already have hella abilities that are pretty much ultimates so we got even more ultimates lmao.

My top Favourites are:
Dawn Warrior 3:13 Visuals look freaking amazing. You form a BLACK HOLE SWORD, slash at the speed of light, then some kind of explosion happens afterwards (I think the Universe exploded from the sheer fucking badassness of what you just did)
Blaster 5:13 Literally *Obliterated* into mush.
Adele 7:28 Gilgamesh from Fate anime series or Byakuyas Bankai from Bleach vibes. Always epic asf when you have all these swords you control flying at this 1 poor soul.
Hero 0:36 Things crashing down from *waaaaaaaaaaaaaay* up in the sky is always epic asf.
Dark Knight 0:55 Might be my top 1 with its iconic long-distance/build-up Javelin Toss you see in a lot of games and animes.
Shadower 2:16 Not as flashy as the others but more Stylistic with that sick asf Black and White Ninja theme; Samurai Jack, G.I Joe.
Kinesis 7:18 a giant 3-fucking-D PIRSM in my 2D game? Like Dawn Warrior's Ultimate, Kinesis just breaks physics and dimensions. That's like something from the 4th Dimension crashing down on us. That's like me dropping that 1-ton boulder on my neighbour's lawn on top of the Megaman in my Gameboy.
If Dark Knight and Hero's Ultimates had that Explosion afterwards, as Blaster did, then they'd be my top 3. DK's still there though 👌

Hi from kms player, they also announced in the showcase that they will reduce the exp amount needed for lvl up between 200-260 by half & 1+2 lvl up event up until 260 🎉

Can we all just appreciate all the great animations and the skill differences every characters are getting. Lv260 for new HyperBurn seems so nice now on top of rhe 50% exp reduction. As a Demon (DemonAvenger) main I really love the showcase they showed with the updated skill effects and finally 3 Nethershields rather than 2.
What do you think about Demon Slayer tho xD
It's nice it gives that night sky background and that Castlevania theme. The effects are cool too.
Idk I'm not a fan of these large moves, as nicely animated as these are I don't enjoy pressing a button and having to watch same one anime scene for 8 seconds

Glad to see the 6th job being added but I always get conflicted when they partially change the exp curve. Yay, we can get past 250 easier now but the grind past 260 is still a slog. Feels like the "hurry up and wait" mentality.
I thought the video said that we were looking at a reduction in 50% from 200-260 not just until 250

Not to be a downer (the animations look great) but, given the recent history of KMS, the director and his comments and mass exodus to KMS Reboot, this feels like "Look at the shiny, shiny! look at the shiny, shiny!" to avoid having to do some necessary changes. i hope i'm wrong and they address some more QoL stuff and some remasters/changes soon but this feels like a painfully obvious distraction.

Just imagine Kanna and Hayato's 6th job, they better not screw up Hayato's skill cutscene, and they better not forget about beast tamer as well.
Absolutely incredible update!!! Huge fan of the new animations and 6th job was game changing. New damage cap as well as exp reductions are very welcomed QoL changes. However, Reboot nerf removing exp and hp mulitpliers on mobs feels very unfair. I'm sure other maple content creators will feel differently, but I think it is a generally negative change to the progression on reboot. We still suffer from level penalty final damage reduction, so now we're matching reg server rates without the benefit of being able to kill higher level mobs.
That and no 2x cash cards, frenzy, fire starter etc will give reboot a disadvantage
If they left in the normal reboot exp bonus and this 50% on top wouldn't that just make reboot out lvl everything super quickly? At 200 + reboot lvling is faster than reg servers even with frenzy and junk. Reboot just is way better for higher lvl lvling atm. I played on reboot and as a reg player I noticed how much easier it was to lvl in reboot with fresh account.

Glad that the game isn't dying after the end of the black mage. For years he was the ultimate threat to the game and when they added 5th job, it was seeming like the game was entering its end of storyline. But now with the new bosses and area, the game can potentially go further in story which means it could get higher in lvls and progression
Black mage won't end maple world but Nexon will kekw (for legal reasons this is a joke)
I somehow wish we can see white mage again somehow in the Grandis storyline...As a NPC or sorts...

yeah, i'm probably never seriously coming back to this game even if it seems cool. I got to 250 on my main and getting there + optimizing the V-matrix felt like it took forever and I still wasn't totally done. and now the floor to even start the new system is 260, it feels like too much and too little at the same time (if it really is just 1 new skill and buffs to 4th and 5th job skills).
Not gonna lie, its exactly what MapleStory did not need. Anything else they announced? I was really looking forward to another Big Bang, like a Big Bang 2.0. Just having even MORE skills to occupy the keyboard is anything but revolutionary for a "new age".

Extremely improved animation qualities, I love it. Everyone has a bind now it looks like, so I guess that shouldn't dictate our character choices as much. Time to start choosing your hyper burn based on what you see here and prepping for winter! So far, Hero, Night Lord, and, honestly, Aran and Luminous, all looking like candidates for next Hyper Burn
