you prolly dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last couple of weeks =)
Just ordered mine, 36", can't wait!!!!!! Returning my Traeger from Costco after paint delamination and now complete controller failure after just 6 months... Fingers crossed!!!
Looks fantastic! Love my Camp Chef DLX and after your video this model is on my contender list when I upgrade. QUESTION. How’s the grease cleanup/management with the sear box/gas grill attachment on it? Looks like there’s no place for the grease to drain into
The grill box was designed to evaporate most of the grease. We do suggest taking out the grate and cleaning the inside every few cooks. There is a V shaped piece that will help catch grease in the bottom.
Ordered mine from BBQGuys last week. It's gonna be a long 4 weeks waiting for it. I've had a 1st Gen traeger but this woodwind makes it look silly. Very excited to get this thing set up and cook.
If you are running the app, you will get a notification when the grill has stopped. Whether that means there's a jam, or out of fuel. Then the grill should be checked on to identify the issue.
I have the old school 24 woodwind.I’ve had it for over 4 years now.I’ve cooked just about everything on it.I haven’t had any thing major go wrong with it.I just had to replace the legs which camp chef covered and replace the probe.Which was a 20 fix.I’m not sure if I like that slide feature.I watched somebody use that to sear steaks and had a grease fire. That’s what I have my sear box for.I’m just wondering can you still by the one I have or do you have to buy the upgraded one?
Just ordered the 24" from you guys. I am curious about the direct fire as shown in the video. Is there a concern about drippings going into the pellet burner? The video also makes it look like the direct fire for grilling is much larger than just the pellet pot. Is there more to this option that I am missing?
The design will allow some drippings to fall into the pellet burner. The grill has a shut down cycle that is made to help burn off any debris left after the cook. The way their heat baffle is, it helps disperse the heat from the direct flame, so you can grill around the fire pot - not just directly above it in that circumference. Cheers, hope you enjoy your grill!
Hey Daniel! In this case the Woodwind's fire pot is slightly left of center in the grill barrel -- and that is where direct flame grilling would take place. Right over the the fire pot.
Is the WiFi cloud based or local? Can I check Temps and get notifications while not home? How many 14 lbs briskets fit in the 24"? Need a timber line vs woodwind.
Hey Greg, Randy here. For the initial setup, you need to be on your home wifi. But once that is done, you can go to the grocery store if you wanted and still access your grill. I would say you can fit 2 14 lb. briskets at once on the 24", depending how you trim it.
I ordered the 24 but cancelled it because I kept questioning if it was big enough. I can't decide if I want to wait for the 36 to be available or or go ahead and get the 24.. We are a family of 3. We want to start hosting family get togethers would the 24 be big enough?
The 24 is absolutely big enough. You could easily fit 3-4 whole chickens at a time. Or 10-12 burgers depending on the size. Just may be a little tough for crowds of 20+.
I can get a large discount on any Camp Chef and I'm trying to decide between the 35" and 24". If I don't cook for parties or groups - and I only cook for about 3-4 people at a time (if that), then would I need the 36" or would it behoove me to save the pellet use from having to heat up a higher volume? Also, please comment about the app... as the reviews are terrible as the other poster stated.
@@BBQGuys Using the 36" vs the 24" to heat the same amount of food (say 2x large T-Bone steaks)... the 36" will use more pellets to attain the same temperature, correct?
I bought the same grille and the auger doesn't work. No response from their customer service. Is this a common issue? Is their customer service usually this ooir.
I haven't heard of an issue with contacting Camp Chef's customer service. If you'd like to call our customer service for help the number is (877)743-2269.
The 36 inch model with the Sidekick is $1,219.98. You can find it here: www.bbqguys.com/camp-chef/36-inch-wifi-woodwind-pellet-grill-with-propane-sidekick-burner-pg36cl?
I actually did just look at the reviews section on the app. A lot of people have posted updates to their post stating that camp chef tech support has been able to fix the issues.
Hello! We reviewed this video and didn't see any paint peeling from any of the surfaces. We think you might be looking at the chamber where the pellets burn, which has some pellet dust that has risen from the burning wood. That cleans right away with a damp cloth. Thanks for watching!
you have to be VERY close to the grill for the connection to work, is pretty much useless. i have. $2 bluetooth speaker has better range than my $1,000 grill.....

The bottle opener sold me!!! 😆....awesome features on this grill!
Yes it does have some clever features!
@@BBQGuys but no bee... I mean cup holder? what gives.
This is incredible. Looks like everything that the Weber SmokeFire hoped to be, and more.

@Jared Bronson Yea, been using InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
I just bought this exact grill and cooked my thanksgiving dinner on it. I love it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Congrats!
Any personal thoughts on it? I heard they were not coming out till early 2020
Oh wait sorry, thought you were talking about the smokefire
Bry it sucks! Many problems
How many briskets can you fit on the 24 model? Thinking about buying one tomorrow

Camp Chef has performed great for me for many years. I can’t wait to add this to my arsenal. Thanks for the great presentation!!
Thanks for watching!
Just ordered mine, without a sidekick. Will add later. Be here Friday.
Let us know how you like it!
what a versatile machine.
i like how you can get a propane attachment for it.

Wondering why the lower grate isn’t stainless?
I am interested in the different side kick attachments. Can both Woodwind 36 sidekick versions use all the same attachments?
Yes, the Sidekick is the same on all models.

I sold my Treager for this. ZERO regrets!
Great video... does it come with a low pellet alarm? ... tks!

I have a camp chef, pellets are constantly getting stuck. Tried to cookout today couldn't get the pellets to feed.
Make sure your pellets are completely dry!

Living on the coast, we have constant wind 10-15 mph. Is the side burner shielded enough to allow it to work in wind?
You shouldn't have any problem shielding it from the wind.
When using direct flame grilling, is the flame/heat only in the middle (over the fire pot) of the cooking area?
Hey Daniel! In this case the Woodwind's fire pot is slightly left of center in the grill barrel -- and that is where direct flame grilling would take place. Right over the the fire pot.
Is what you call the "BBQ grill box" the "propane sear box" on your website?
Two different things.

@@BBQGuys Thanks
How does the quality seem on these units? Is the metal thin? Does the lid let smoke seep out?
The lid keeps the smoke in nicely!
Tillerman7 OH it’s not thin like Traeger.
@@MichaelRei99 Yeah learned the hard way.
One key thing, can it have a rotisserie added ? Others have one as standard.
Not at this time.

Thanks for watching!
Is it universal power? (110-240v)?
Can it be outdoors in 50 degree celsius heat?
Camp Chef is on 110 volt. Check in on it often at that temp.Medium Rare steaks might be done too quickly.
Will the grill work without functioning wifi?
It will!
The wifi like and Bluetooth can be aggravating at time. Sometimes you need to disconnect the power cord for a few seconds!
Thanks for the feedback!

No propane is needed for this grill. Just pellets and an electrical outlet.
have you any dispo in Belgium ?
We currently only ship inside the US.
Ok..I'm buying this bad boy..
Just totally crushed the treager like it was nothing.

Yes, available for presale now: www.bbqguys.com/weber/smokefire-ex6-wi-fi-enabled-36-inch-wood-fired-pellet-grill-23510001
How many briskets can you fit in the 36? say 13 pounders.
You could easily fit 6 on there!
With the 10 levels of smoke on the unit, are you able to get decent wood flavor on the meat; comparable to a stick / charcoal smoker?
Hey! You can definitely achieve some great wood flavor on the meat, just maybe not quite as well as a charcoal smoker. Thanks for watching!
F. Neil O'Brien you can actually over smoke with the new smoke settings.
@@MichaelRei99 Great news - what a nice 'problem' to have!
