Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 чер 2009
- In the year 1895, Angelique speaks to Edward and tells him that she was one of Barnabas's victims, to keep herself under suspicion. In the meantime, Angleique is trying to cure Quentin's werewolf curse with the powerful hand of Count Petopi. In return, she want's him to marry her, which he agrees.
It's hard to believe this show took place more than 50 years ago!
These are some of the most imaginative and richly drawn characters ever written for television.
Loved this show. Liked how Thayer David played so many different roles and how all the characters appeared in the time changes.
Count Petofi was his favorite character.
Wow, I remember I couldn't wait to get home from school to watch Dark Shadows, I loved this show!
Ditto
Seems a lot of us did the same thing lol. Never be another soap as good as DS.
Her eyes are just gorgeous!!!
My oh my, did Angelique put on a superb act, and Edward bought it
She is some liar!
Edward was a pompous ass. Even worse he was the dullest knife in the drawer.
how many hapless souls did our little Angelique devour while using those enchanting eyes...
Lol.
Best soap of it's time. I'll never forget running home after the bus dropped us off after school.
Bad things happen when you mess with the beautiful Angelique.
Yeah, real bad things will happen to you if you mess with her
At 82, I believe that's her age, she's still pretty.
Wow! It's been yrs! Even at 62, I'm still taken aback by Quentins face🦇
Angelique seemed desperate to marry anyone!!!
Before I watched Reruns of Dark Shadows on the Sci Fi Channel in the lat 80's/ early 90's. I had seen the original Rocky movie around 1984..... Thayer David was in the movie he was a promoter for the boxing match between Rocky and Apollo Creed.
And I as a 16 year old watched Rocky at the drive in...1976.
And there was Thayer promoting and announcing the Rocky/Apollo match !!!
Far from any rivalry, Jonathan Frid had in fact been pleading with Dan Curtis to create another strong male role, so that Frid could have a private life again. Once the character of Quentin had an equivalently large fan base, Frid could take extended times off, now and then, without ABC's switchboard going ballistic.
No kidding!
He din't plead, he said you're giving me too much work, I don't like it.
OMG! Woman you make Sue Ellen Ewing from Dallas look like a saint. Angilique is a witch and she put a vampire curse on him this chick is wicked
So I thought also, but David Selby revealed that Jonathan told him, in one of their last get togethers, that he hadn't appreciated David's entrance onto the series. David said Jonathan was never anything but gracious to him though.
David explains: ua-cam.com/video/VkZ2zgvoZcQ/v-deo.html
When I was a little boy, I loved her.
Nobody can lie as well as Angelique
Dark shadows is awsome
Yeah soooo awesome
When watching again these episodes of "Dark Shadows" many years later, one remembers just how superb Lara Parker's acting was as Angelique Duval on that show! With all due respect to the excellent acting of Joan Bennett and Grayson Hall, Lara Parker outshined both of them on that show! I have forgotten-- how did Quentin Collins become disfigured on "Dark Shadows" so that he wanted Angelique to use the severed hand of Count Petoffi to cure his disfigurement?
Oh what a terrible price to pay -- having to marry Angelique.
I started watching this @ 1968 when I was 12 or 13 yrs old. Angelique was my 1st child hood crush. How could others compete
It all depends on who you love best.
I cheered when Barnabas shot that crazy eyed witch.
Man, Lara Parker was gorgeous!!
She still is, saw her at a convention a few years ago. Magnificent eyes and cheekbones.
D.J. Cook she sure was ,and still is!
L. M. ALG ,and then
She should know. She put the curse on him
What I wouldn't give to own this entire series
Angelique is so lusciously seductive, it's a wonder Barnabas could ever resist her!
I think that Barnabas saw past that luscious exterior and saw what a spiteful vindictive bitch she was....
@@madeleinebaier5347 There is a Kung Fu series episode where this actress is just the opposite. The episode "King of the Mountain" has that actress in it and worth watching.
@@avecmoi9429 The actress's name is Lara Parker. Angelique was her most famous starring role.
@@Titan52berg I agree. I loved her in Dark Shadows and the Kung Fu episode. She also played a witch in an episode of the Night Stalker. I agree with you. Hope your life is going well.
@ Avec Moi. Lara Parker also appeared on the episode of "The Six Million Dollar Man" in which Col. Steve Austin once more test flies the M3F5 plane (to investigate and determine if it was tampered with prior to his accident years earlier in that plane) in which he years earlier was horribly maimed which led to Oscar Goldman making him bionic (or a cyborg).
I love dark shadows for mystery and it grows brighter every day I love it.
She did that to him & loved every single minute of it
Like i love lucy andy griffith all the 60s and 70s tv shows. This one i can watch over and over again. Tv was great back then. Smart and talented actors actresses producers writers and directors.
Angelique is the biggest liar ever- Edward should listen to his doubts
Enjoyed this short clip. Watched the original
broadcast of this show with it's excellent cast, props, costumes, especially the eerie musical score, etc. Awesome show as I watch this vid brings back those great memories ! New subscriber because of this video. Looking forward to ur next one.
And for those not in the know, the bearded visitor to Collinwood (played by Thayer David) is the sorcerer whose powerful hand is in that box!
Thayer David was an accomplished actor. Bravo, sir!
Count Petofi was his name.
@@madeleinebaier5347 He was the superb villain Count Saknussemm in Journey to the Center of the Earth (1958) and also the Reverend Pendrake in Little Big Man.
@@grgyll4273 And the boxing promoter in the first Rocky movie.
@@chrisreidy439and Dragon in the Clint Eastwood movie Eiger Sanction..
Beth Chavez is always so naive. And ready to break into tears.
I'm with Edward. I won't be taken in by this display of emotion either! Oh, Lordie! This story she tells. Having a hard time getting through this segment... Thank GOD! A knock at the door! Oh, nevermind for Victor... *sigh* Sheez... Thayer David, how DID you manage those GLASSES??? Man, Quentin is all jacked up... I'm even more impressed with Angelique wanting to marry him now! Then again who wouldn't agree to marry anyone just in order to get out of being a ghastly concoction like that?
Angelique, the other hot blonde witch of the 60s!
I remember as a little boy about 5. This awestruck beautiful blonde came walking down the street. I saw her, and I was so floored I uttered the first words that came to my head. "I Love You." When she said she loved me too I fell off the brick wall and hit sidewalk head first. If it was Angelique I would've had same reaction.
Angelique is a witch...….loves Barnabas.....but he loved Josette....ooohhhh the trouble she caused
Well, he shouldn’t have dallied with her, then come off and say, “I hope we can still be friends.”
Those eyeglasses of Victor Finn-Gibbon make his eyes look as big as a dinosaur!
Angelique, baby, sweetheart! Please baby, bite me..
I always wanted the DS games but never got them. But I still have my LP the first on and my single Quentin's theme. Thank you for posting this video. I love DS!!
MissWitchiepoo I had the board game probably for my 10th birthday too bad it's long gone
I loved both.
I will not be taken in by this show of emotion!
I've always been of the opinion that remakes are a mistake. You can't improve on the original Dark Shadows--no matter how hard you try.
They tried and it sucked.
agree
@@jamesdouglas7345 Yes.
Amen to that.
Angelique, if you ever wanted a woman by your side, just don't play around, you'll wake up a frog, and those wigs, made by the famous German wig maker, Fitz Nisentite.
Happy Birthday, David. You've come a long way since Dark Shadows. I liked this show as a child, but it was a little too intense for me, so my parents forbade me to watch it. I did have DS merchandise, though. The Dark Shadows board game with the green Barnabas cards and the Barnabas Collins build-a-skeleton game. I also had some comic books, one where Quentin gets injected with Barnabas' serum and turns into a vampire.
Yeah it's pretty suspenseful LOL!!! and yes Angelique is awsome. ^_^ NP thanks for commenting.
Beth Chavez looks like she's about to cry. She looks constantly worried.
@Jon Hinson I don't know. In this series of episodes, he seemed pretty normal. Beth, in all scenes, always seemed a bit unhinged.
I may be in the minority, but Count Petofi was my favorite Thayer David character in the entire Dark Shadows series.
@4:39 "My name is Victor Fenn-Gibbons, and as you can see I have the world's largest underbite. It's in the Guiness book of World Records; look it up!"
LOL!
Ha! Good one!
Angelique is a Liar evil too but not Lara Parker ! Her acting is so good !
When I see that look on count petofi's face that tells me he has had battles with angelique in the past and the fact that he knows that his hand is in that box
As Barnabas tells Angelique, even with her powers she cannot control the hand of Count Petofi.
Angelique was evil bad lied so much but Lara is a fine great actress !
Quentin looks like he fell into Mrs. Johnson's salmon croquet recipe. Oh, but that was another time, another place... I had forgotten this episode. How generous she is with her offer. Quentin, old boy, take her up on it quick before someone puts you into the deep fryer.
Do you have the clip of when Josette shows herself to Barnabas after she fell off the cliff?
RIP gorgeous Lara Parker ❤😔
Im a huge fan of this great series. I didnt see it as a child. I was born in 1970. When started watching it, I wasnt sure what to think. It was a great comedy because of the screw ups and the crazy stories. And also a great soap which it was supposed to be but with vampires. You can easily love the characters. Theres probably no forgettable ones. You certainly cant forget Grayson Hall she was brilliant in this.
I'm sure Angelique would love to have that happen to her probably sleep with him by the coffin, in the Adam/Eve Blair storyline she became a vampire and bit Barnabas twice in one night and was under her control which she loved every minute of it
I saw all the first time I love it all
Creepy Petofi n that goofy wig!
I don't remember this episode. 🤣
His mustache is crooked. 😁
wish the movie had been this suspensful , too bad Tim Burton couldnt do the show justice and show it as it should have been , maybe martin scorsasi should have done it instead at least it would have had some class.
I remember the times Angelique would appear as a ghost, and the room would smell like violets(?)..
Cutie pie Maggie/Josette was my crush....but, Angelique's cheek bones and lips AND those eyes !!!!
She was deviously sensuous...
I wasn't tired this time, now i fixed it for good LOL!!!! Thanks for correcting me :)
Hey no problem my pleasure! Oh sure i can get that up for you ^_^ I wish i knew who she was so i can give you my opinion sorry LOL!!!!
The price?
$39.95, isn't it lovely?
Nikki - You must've been tired a second time, because it's still not fixed, now you're off a couple of years as your description of the video reads 1895, yet this storyline took place in 1897, dahling ;-)
Count Petofi was a bigger liar
Never liked Angelique!!!!!!
I'm certain Amber Heard reviewed this video prior to her divorce from Johnny Depp.
@NikkiCollins100 You're welcome, Nikki LOL :-)
Sorry i must've been tired, i fixed it thanks for correcting me ^_^
at 0;13 a telephone call in the year 1895 ? explain please ..
The telephone was invented in 1876....by 1897, telephone usage had progressed.
@@new_yawker901 ahh buty did Collinsport have full service by 1897 ??? why didn't they show it ? You mean to say that phone service existed before indoor plumbing .... Dash it all dash it all good Sir
@@arvidsmith1038
Lmao! Funny thing is I don't think Maine had phone service by the 1790s ....Connecticut/Massachusetts did. Its "dark shadows" after all, I mean your comment about indoor plumbing had me thinking...if the mansion was built in 1795, before indoor plumbling...where did the collins' take a dump?
