If all you've heard so far is her hit singles & radio songs, you are in for a surprise and a real treat. Taylor's catalogue spans so many genres and styles, there's almost always something for everyone. I would love to see your reaction to her live at the Reputation Tour - Intro/Ready For It, I Did Something Bad, and Don't Blame Me are some of her best performances that are less "slow". ;)
Whatever her problems are and their cause, people are quick to dismiss them as champagne problems because she is rich. Her bf probably did the same thing. She’s not allowed to be sad, have emotions, be depressed or get ridiculed about it because someone else has it much worse than her. I saw a lot of hate after the announcement of the TTPD and the recent album art that said something about you don’t get to tell me about being sad. There were a few Swifty TikTokers criticizing her…she can be sad but not too sad. She’s too rich to be sad or heartbroken or lonely. When people start gate keeping emotions of another person they do not know, that’s going too far.
Love Taylor such an amazing poet and producer. I went to see her in July on the eras tour and it was definitely the best experience of my life. I’ve never witnessed an artist care so much about their art and fans and she performs for nearly 4 hours without long breaks or anything!
If you listen to Taylor swift just pop songs you will not understand how Taylor is true artist. Her best albums are folklore and evermore after I heard these two albums now I can call her fantastic writer/artist her pop songs amazing but these albums what makes her true artist.
I’m looking forward to seeing you do more Tswift reactions. As a swiftie, I’m often surprised by how many non-fans don’t realize that Taylor’s music ranges over several styles and genres (pop, country, folk, alt, indie, rock, and all possible hyphenated combinations of these). BTW: her live performances and music videos are both fantastic. I would suggest that, ideally, you should plan on doing a combination of music video and live performance for each TSwift song where both exist. Here are a few suggestions that give examples of her musical range: Folk/alt/”cottegecore” Exile (Long Pond Sessions) ua-cam.com/video/o5SQIECedTY/v-deo.html Taylor Swift - august (folklore : the long pond studio sessions | Disney+) ua-cam.com/video/nEn_Rjd8jxU/v-deo.html Alt-pop (these are examples of how her music vids and live performances are both fantastic): Reputation Stadium Tour movie: intro + "ready for it?" ua-cam.com/video/2QJaf6qq8jQ/v-deo.html Ready For It? (music video) ua-cam.com/video/wIft-t-MQuE/v-deo.html (The Era’s Tour movie version of this is also fantastic.) Taylor Swift - intro + look what you made me do # live reputation tour ua-cam.com/video/1WhDBaBWlnc/v-deo.html Look What You Made Me Do (official music video) ua-cam.com/video/3tmd-ClpJxA/v-deo.html Harder to categorize, but definitely amazing performances: Don't Blame Me - Taylor Swift • Reputation Tour ua-cam.com/video/seOJleBbf-U/v-deo.html Taylor Swift - "False God" (Live on Saturday Night Live / 2019) ua-cam.com/video/kjD3LoXp-Pw/v-deo.html Country/singer-songwriter All Too Well (Live From The 56th GRAMMYs 2014) ua-cam.com/video/vQI67092qvI/v-deo.html
Enjoyed your reaction. Yes, Swift has a wide variety of music. I would recommend you try the Reputation Tour version of Don’t Blame Me. This song was written from a fictional perspective. (As were a lot of songs on the album this song is from- Evermore.) Just a tip for listening to Swift… More than anything else, she is known for her lyricism- not the music accompanying the lyrics. That being said, the lyrics of some songs are just fun and some of the music is very good. Oh- and there’s a double meaning to Champagne Problems in this song. The first is the meaning you mentioned. The second is the idea that the family bought champagne to celebrate, then there’s nothing to celebrate, so they have a “champagne problem”. Swift loves word play and words/phrases she uses will often have two (and every so often three) meanings.
You should listen to her Reputation Album. There are so many great songs but If I where to suggest any specific ones Id pick Dont Blame Me and I Did Something Bad Live performances from the Reputation tour.
I’m usually here for your Sleep Token reactions but I would love love love to see you do more Taylor Swift. She’s incredibly gifted lyrically and she’s got something for everyone. Not everything of hers is something you’ll like, probably, but she does have something for you that you’ll like. I love your reactions and how you explain why music does or doesn’t work for you, hope to see more
Interesting choice for a reactor that hasn't done much T Swift, but I'm here for it! I hope you check out more of her stuff. It may not all be for you, but I love your honest thoughts. ❤
I suppose better late than never for Taylor, the studio version is lovely but really you need to listen to this live, easy searchable atm, just go to any eras tour rendition, she’s just been in Melbourne 3 night and there are plenty members of the audience uploading it.
Taylor's vocal stacks and ad-libs are 🤌 This entire album ('Evermore') is 10/10 no notes (IMHO). It's a very melancholy album for sure, with some exceptions. It's also not autobiographical as were most of her previous albums. My take on this song is that it's a story of a mentally ill woman who doesn't think she's good enough for the man who proposes to her so she leaves. I try not to look up others' interpretations; I tend to believe Taylor's intent is for each listener to find their own meaning in her lyrics. Check out 'Cornelia Street - Live from City of Lover' for a more upbeat tune. She performs it with just her voice and an acoustic guitar, and it's really well done.
Great reaction! If you really want to react and dive into TSwift, you should react to Ready For It, Don’t Blame Me and I Did Something Bad. All from her Live Reputation Tour! Totally different from anything you’ve heard her done before! 🔥🔥🔥
I'm really amazed her bf didn't break up with her esp after Midnights. He had to know she wasn't into him like that? What was his plan? What did he think these songs were about?
If you want to dive in her discography just have in mind that her albums are more deep and better then the singles she put ... and i would recommand Reputation as a start its a synth pop with hiphop influences and its very experimental and have some heavy lyricism too ❤
you are forgiven for “which boyfriend is this about” Sean. You probably heard all the bs from people and you yourself said that you are not yet too familiar. Just I am rooting for you to see the artist behind the hype. ❤
Omg...you really need to listen to Taylor's song Exile featuring Bon Iver...and Evermore, also featuring Bon Iver...you want something a little faster? Try her album Red...hope you do more of her work...
Are you kidding me? You were a kid when she popped off? You look like her father dude!! You look very old. And this song is not about any of her ex bfs.
lol so weird when ppl cry about my opinion 🤷♂️ and yes this song is about 2 sweethearts meeting, 1 planning on marriage and the other planning to break up. Pay attention next time 👌

@@SeanStaxxMusic Also, I have links to some of her better performances but need a way to get them to you, like email or Discord...

Yea it’s the sad duality of being a celebrity or hyper successful in general. People overlook your humanity

This song is fictional,so it’s not about any of her previous relationships
Ah ok thank you!
Thats what she said but I don't believe it.
1:28 She actually made folklore and evermore mostly about fictional characters lol, and this song is completely made up
He said kidding mate
you have to check out 'my tears ricochet', some of her best writing for sure

@@SeanStaxxMusic The Eras tour performance of this is 🔥
Taylor's lyrics most especially in her evermore album are for the writers and intellectuals to disect 😆
Any songs from the City of Lover concert live in Paris. It is just her and a guitar.
The Long Pond Sessions are great also.
This song lives on my “I feel like crying” playlist. Many of hers do.
