wow i just realized they finally retired the original Metro cars, i think the newer cars dont use the horn, just the quacker buzzer, i havent heard the horn in a while
I have a 3 questions. Does the OERM pay you for driving trains, do you get hired or do you just show up whenever you want, and do you have to have knowledge operating trains or do they teach you because when i turn 16 in 2 years i would like to be able to drive 144 and the other locos they own. I play Train Simulator with Raildriver (a realistic train controller) should that should help me a bit on how to drive the trains.
AAA NASCAR Cup Series No, you don’t get paid for operating trains, and you can go to the OERM to have fun enjoying the trains! They teach you a bit however it is good to have prior knowledge on operating the trains you want to operator! If I were you I would start saving up since all trains cost money to operate!
@@MetroSheepProductionsMSP alright then thanks for the info. Can you drive the trains during weekends when there is people on board cuz i really want to get the true felling a Metro Rail operator had on these cars. What's the max speed i could do when there is no people around?
AAA NASCAR Cup Series to Operate the Trains depends on the day and time for example 144 is only able to be operated on weekends in the far future edit and the max speed I believe is somewhere between 15 to 30 miles per hour
Metro Sheep Productions I commented the first second lol 😂 but I guess it’s considered a tie as we both commented the same minute but not the same second ha I win! Do I count as your first supporter for this new fresh start?
Cost is in the description I wanna know, can I sound the horn and set a destination on the train without making any moves without paying or do I have to pay even if I don't get the train moving.
ThrillCoaster Collection I am not sure about that since it was free for me on the first time, all I know about 144 right now, is that when it is open, it will be open on weekends
@@MetroSheepProductionsMSP Ok, Thank you! Too bad it's 76 miles away from my home, and I have to take a metrolink for the fastest possible transportation.
ThrillCoaster Collection For Me It Is 74 Miles However It Is An Hour Drive With No Traffic And Wow Well GL When You Go To The Southern California Railway Museum By Metrolink!
Wow that’s really cool to have a metro rail there not scrapped like the rest.
I still can't believe the automated announcements work.
In 2021 You’ll be able to drive the metro rEd line pretty soon.
1 year later...

The crossing gate bells sounds like the air alarm-gongs on North Shore Line's ELETROLINERS.
Awesome Video! Glad to see your channel is up and running!
Metro Fans Productions YAY! :D
Metro Sheep Productions I’m so glad your back!

DennisTheBrony22 I was 15 when I had the opportunity to operate P865 144, now I’m 17

Men that looks so awesome and fun to drive the train
One of the last old metro locos.

Nice I like it
They only have 1 car there? Anyone know how much one of these cars cost?
:Ramon : Yes 1 Car As Of Now, A P865 Without Inflation Costed $1.17 Million Per Car To Manufacturer
Wow that's a lot
Actually cars #144 and #141 where sent there but 141 was turned to parts for #144
Gotta let up on the horn and gong.
There's more to operating an LRV than that, just saying.
Rick Traveler Smith Yes, I Know, There’s The Master Controller, Different Brakes, Sander Ect
And even the Automated announcements
Wait so does the several hundred dollars count for just sitting in the cabin and not moving the train?
ThrillCoaster Collection The cost I don’t remember but it might be $250-$450 to operate P865 144 Per Hour If you’re 16 and older

Imagine if it coupled to the U2
While it would be interesting, it’s not possible due to the height difference of the couplers and not enough power to run 2 lrvs
Too bad doesn't have (1990) Nippon Sharyo with original Vinyl.
Still have the 2nd (gen) Nippon Sharyo's vinyl. (0:28)
Was it free to operate the train?
