Tuxedo OS is based in KDE Neon. As far I spoke with the developers they also don't change too much at the kde neon base. So it should be very similar to KDE Neon but the tuxedo specific apps :)
I really really want to use KDE but upon installation, when I log into the session with SSDM, and Wayland, KDE crashes over and over again and fails to connect to the monitor.. it seems like a new bug. I encounter this issue with every distro I try to install with KDE :(
Gnome looks more stable for some people simply because it has way less options and for me KDE way better i use win/fedora on my main pc for 2 years so far not many problems
I am new to Linux and recently installed Mint Cinnamon on my old i3 laptop. I have an even older laptop that has Windows 8 on it. I am wondering what distro is easy for the beginner, but will work well on older machines.
You're doing a fantastic job! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Depends on what games you play, most of the times is suggested a rolling release, but unless you got a very recent hardware you won't see any significative difference
Fedora, I feel is the best KDE distro. Its bleeding edge enough, its stable, its easy to understand and use for newcomers, and i don't know why, but KDE feels the best to use on fedora.
I thought Bill stopped making windows at 95 when Steve stole it, but had a gaming and ratting (not that I used it for this) VM ISO called XP for awhile. I think that was around the same time Debbie, Ian and Linus made the Unix Alternative (90s). There are others? You must be talking about Siduction? (yes, joking) Great vid, But Neon has to find a way out of the KDE demo "friend zone" to get much traction. I'm not sure how. Maybe they shouldn't. I have come to love Plasma. I have to admit I usually strip KDE min after install, but I have become addicted to activities via Plasma.
KDE once was very good (just before KDE 6 was launched) i even donated money periodically. Now its just hilarious,i mean, did you tryed to increase the panel size ? Whats the purpose to have half screen icon size? The work behind the design its just a mess...
I know it's a bit niche, but TuxedoOS can be a good option as well.
Tuxedo OS seems to be a better alternative to KDE Neon IMO

By the way, I use KDE
For me, it depends on the distro I'm using at a particular time. Fedora or Arch? KDE. Debian? Either Gnome or Xfce.

Good advice and fair evaluations.
I use Arch, with KDE btw.
What flavor? I'm on the cachy train.
@@crazystupidgamer planning to go on that train soon myself.
Ok it's good but today's desktop environment's problem is that most look like paper, they feel nothing. I miss the glossy and glass look days.
You can download the windows 7 themes in KDE and enable blur effects in your settings
If you want the themes of that time and type, search for aero.

In terms of ease of use I have personally found fedora to work well out of the box with either gnome or kde.
In my experience try Mint and if it runs too slow switch to MX-Linux
I have antiX Linux on an old Pentium 4 computer with 2 GB memory and that works well.
I would say Cinnamon is more similar to Windows XP while XFCE is more similar to Windows 98
Actually, MATE is very Windows XP-ish! LOL

Is mint packages to old for gaming, or so your advocate for cinnamon on on other distros?

I enjoy CachyOS as that is the best one for me and very up to date.
I use Mageia with KDE. Easy install and stable.

KaOS, a hidden KDE pearl.
openSUSE TW or Fedora KDE
I use Debian btw, with Gnome
opensuse tumbleweed kde here
EndeavourOS
Same here.

Plasma 6.2 is the best version of Plasma so far.
