      +Wags914 It takes a special kind of sauce to get the Meshuggah stamp of approval, afterall (M7 and M8, specifically.)

    They cost 159€ each with a ceramic magnet. At that price you need something special. With that kind of cheap magnet it does not worth the money. I think Alnico VIII will be a better alternative.

  • @marviosantos
    @marviosantos 9 років тому +1

    HA it wasn't until a good 2 minutes into the video I realized the takes were from different pickups at different positions... On the cleans you can hear it a little, but you put any guitar through this much compressed gain and they all sound the same, doesn't matter what you're playing, unless it's complete extremes of course, a thin voices sigle pickup X a crazy high output EMG, other than that, play whatever if this kind of sound your thing...

    I'm not into heavy music anymore but I still enjoy your demos fluff. I must say that each of the pickups sound perfect in their own way. I am most partial to the Hot Heaven as it is an alnico 4 mag (my favorite).
    Well done.

  • @KFieLdGaming
    @KFieLdGaming 9 років тому

    Toss up between The One/Hot Heaven. Both sound good. Very similar, if there's any noticeable difference it's just in the output levels, and possibly slightly more treble.

    In case anyone is interested and likes the m6 pick ups and is looking for a new guitar Schecter has released the Schecter Banshee mach series. Lundgren m6 and m7 pick ups. Evertune bridge. They look amazing.

    Man, I was too busy grooving with that riff to pay attention to the pickups!! What's the riff? Very helpful demo. All three pups are great. I have a set of "The One" in an Ibanez S5470, and I'm getting more Lundgrens for more guitars. A bit pricey, but worth it. No disappointment with other brands.

    Nice pickups for sure. I would gravitate toward the one and M6 perhaps more. I really liked the song and the mix (it was great). And for a pickup shootout this worked wonders, you could really tell how all of them behaved on their own and in the mix. That is a sign of some serious professionalism, talent and hard work! Thanks!

    Sir Fluff!
    I must tell you, I have now, in my possesion something that I've been wanting for 3-4 years. My first set of monitors(yay! \o/)! I got them today! I live in Brazil and audio gear is reeeeealy expensive around here. I always wanted to listen to "Failed" in proper conditions, and I was thinking: Meh. He recorded it years ago, the audio quality from that video(the old one) must not be near the audio quality he has today. Then I log in my UA-cam account and hook up to my feed, and BAM! Failed freshly recorded!
    You sir, has made my day! ^^

      ***** Actually just started using that. The Made Of Metal pack is quite nice..still not sure on how to really get a bigger sound of them. still sounds quite flat and boring when comparing to the sound you getting...maybe my mastering is my problem?

  • @jesperbc
    @jesperbc 9 років тому

    I really liked the tones from the Hot Heaven, the slightly more vintage tones. Only thing is, Lundgrens are even more expensive than Bare Knuckles, as far as I can tell. Contemplating exchanging my Nailbombs for a Riff Raff set, 'cause more gain isn't always the answer. :)

    Hey Fluff. FAQ Monday question, perhaps? You do a lot of pickup reviews, so you (or your buddy from Stockwell Guitars) must be doing a lot of pickup adjustment. I know you ultimately have to adjust with your ears, but do you have a rule of thumb or baseline for setting pickup height and pole piece adjustment, when installing new pickups? Thanks!

    I saw you were talking about how long these take to produce because of the time to switch strings and pickups. Have you considered building a guitar for easy pickup swaps. I've seen builds where you can slide the pickups out the side, or mounting the pickups on a board you insert through the back. i7.photobucket.com/albums/y290/Draak/Tele%20Tester/2_zps9d4326b2.jpg

    Dear Fluff. Thank you so much for your videos! They are the best. Best sound on UA-cam!
    I have an Ibby American Master ma3 with blackouts. I'd like passives because it's good wood. I was just given a m6 neck. Can I get away with buying the one bridge and use the m6 neck? Or is it too weird and I'd be better off with m6 bridge?
    Please tell me that Lundgren will blow those nasty blackouts outta the water.

    I see people bickering abut the mix in the comments, that's why DI files are provided. Fluff knows that not everyone likes the same kind of mixing, so he uploads DIs so we can put them through our usual treatments and see if we personally like them. I always enjoy these vids for the riffage, but I honestly completely reserve any opinions until I put the DIs into reaper and see how they sound TO ME. I suggest if you think Fluff mixes things in an unpleasureable manner you do the same.
