I love the use of yellow roses. They were probably chosen because they look cheerful or something, but they represent friendship. I firmly believe that true love starts with and always consists of friendship.
I don't care about the rest of the movie, I don't care what anyone's opinions on this movie are, I genuinely love this song. I loved getting more of Clopin mainly.
I prefer Clopin's colorful outfit from the first one, but I understand that it's harder (and possibly more expensive) to draw. Besides I love that he's still in this movie! I also love the part of the song when Quasi sings. Tom Hulce is such a great singer, as is Paul Kandel.
I've got this on VHS. I recorded it off the TV along with Lady and the Tramp II Scamp's Adventure. When me and my twin sister rented it though we were so taken and in love with it we watched 4 times in a row! No kidding! And who cannot get enough of Clopin? That guy got so much charisma and a damn good singing voice!

Although I really don't like this Disney sequel in comparison to it's predecessor, I would be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for some of the songs, this being one of them. It's just so lighthearted and fun.

I like how in Disney Animation Studios, they make love happened by accident. In the first movie the romance parts where equally balanced with the overall plot, there were strong messages and everything was connected. The movie could not be as good as it was if you took out any character that was in it. Whereas Disney toon made this a giant love story. The main characters to me only appeared in the story to kill time. You could take out anything and the story would of still continued. It didn't have the magic like the original had. The animation lacked and the characters were dramatically changed especially Clopin. He was white and not has charismatic. :(
As much as I agree that the first movie was incomparable I disagree to this one. Love didn't happen by accident here at all. I remind you that Madalena here was absolutely horrified when she saw Quasimodo and ran away and then she realized how beautiful person he was and how kind he was to people around him and loved him for who he was plus she felt like he was the only person who truly understood her, encouraged her and gave her confidence. He wasn't calling her a thief or an ugly girl that wasn't to be seen but a person who has capabilities she needs to express and practice. She was also a girl used and manipulated all her life ever since she stole when she was 6 obviously had no one and her so called employer was using and manipulating her. Quasimodo the same way he "accidentally" fell in love with Esmeralda for being kind to him, he fell in love with Madalena because not only she was a sweet girl but also because in a way she is being through similar things he had been through. Quasi was manipulated by Frollo and Madalena now is being manipulated. In a way Quasi does for her what Esmeralda did for him back then. If you think hat removing that can still make the story stand well be my guest but I personally disagree. Of course the first movie was thousands of times better but this is not a bad story at all. If you ask me I prefer this plot ten times better than many movies done today.

I agree. I mean sure the first movie was by every mean better but this is not a bad story at all. In fact not only is sweet and shows how someone can love someone else for who they are and not how they look or how we must not judge someone for their cultural background but it also shows how Quasi has grown as a person. Throughout the movie he is helping Madalena get over her manipulation the same way Esmeralda helped him escape Frollo's manipulation. Frollo kept calling Quasi monster of nature that only he could protect and Sherouz is telling her that she is a useless girl that no one else would embrace. Quasi helped her build confidence and strength the same way Esmeralda helped him break the cycle of self-beating
Another Comment About Clopin: This Film doesnt do any justice for the first movie. I mean, you KNOW its Clopin but he doesnt look as good as in the first movie! For all we know that could be Clopins less attractive douple ganger! 2nd He is White and looks sooo old! Finaly where is his PUPPET!

I think the Feast of Fools was more of a celebration than a holiday. Feast of Fools was regarded more of a time for gypsies to be free from persecution than an actual holiday, Le Jour D'Amour is more of a Clopin-esque version of Valentine's Day, with Disney getting sued by Hallmark. Also, Clopin never explicitly said in the first film that the Feast of Fools was his favourite annual tradition.
I mean, Esmerelda’s eyes are blue in at least two shots too. Plus I think Madeline’s eyes tended to flip flop between green and blue. And yeah, I thought Quasi’s eyes were green in the first movie, dunno why they’re a deep bright blue in this one
Even in the sequel, Clopin's still pretty handsome imo. Though the colorists messed up his skintone a LOT. First, he's pale, then he's as light as Quasie, then he's pink, then pale again. They could've at least glanced at the first movie for reference. Even Aladdin the animated series got skin colors right iirc. And that and this movie were both animated by TMS.
Oh and as for that whole thing with Clopin sounding too French. Do bear in mind that it was 7 years since the events of the first movie happened, and so since more than likely Clopin has been in France for most of that whole time, it's certainly possible that he could've picked up the French accent even more. :/

The animation is bad, but overall, it's a good movie, and if they'd used the original movies art and animation, I think this could pass in the cinemas. The animation would be good for a TV show, to be honest. Still angry we didn't get one. Herc and Ali got one, so why not Quasi?

The movie is about QUASI people not Clopin. I like Clopin too and personally enjoyed the minor changes he got. My only issue was Quasi got blue eyes
