I went to see Gladiator 2 yesterday and I loved it. I've always found the music at the end very moving. I saw Gladiator in the cinema when Russell Crowe was in it and I cried at the end just as I did yesterday. Great movie.
And that's require a very special type of personality, open mind and a lot of empathy and patients towards the people. Every conversation he holds, he looks like he is really invested and interested to hear what people has to say. Truly admirable.

So many of them used the wrong term of address, one would think that the etiquette instructor mistakenly told the poor people to say the incorrect things.
Many refuse to refer to a person in such terms for valid reasons. We did have an entire Revolutionary War about that sort of thing, after all. "Your Highness? Higher than me how, exactly?"

Watch King Charles or any of the other Royals while they shake hands and speak to people. They never break eye contact with the person they're meeting That person has their full and direct attention, creating a brief moment of connection and a lasting memory. The late Queen was the master of this, she taught them all well.

So, as pointed out above, perhaps they weren't briefed on protocol. Usually when briefed they are told they have the choice to to use the 'style' or not, but at least they'd know which style to use if they so desired.

Your highness is for princes and princesses. So, yes, it’s a valid title. Your majesty is for kings and queens, like Charles and Camilla.
They are addressed as Your Highness and Your Royal Highness, it's just the King and Queen who get the Majesty monicker
