Ok, so I picked up a 95 Grand Marquis from the lady who bought it new. It is in brand new condition. Paid $2000... 114K miles... it does have a slight misfire in the morning when I start it up. I have to keep the rpm's up, because the rpm's will drop. Just had all the spark plugs changed and the misfire is still there. I'm going to change out the injectors as well. The misfire corrects itself when the car is warmed up. Thanks for the great vid.
Hey man i have a 99 grand marquis and this was very helpful im gonna be a bit of a slouch and go amazon injectors and hope they work bjt this was a great video man
I love fuel pump relays.... I caught my now ex wife cheating , so I snuck over and took out the relay.... The lies of where she was and why the car wouldn't start and was towed was hilarious.... Then I let her know the real story 😂
NO !! The fuel injectors shown in this video are from the early models -- the design was changed for '98, which uses a slimmer design with NO HEAT SINK like the early models had. Notice the FAT METAL BODIES of these injectors -- the '98 and later models don't have that big ol' heat sink -- and your fuel is less likely to boil on it's way to the injectors. The '98-on model of injectors run cooler -- the 4-holers give a good dispersion and good mileage, too .
I just noticed it’s not for 98 , is it a big difference when comes to changing them still ? i can’t find a video as detailed as yours for my 98 lincoln town car signature.
It's different for different years -- the '92 - '95 has an ALL-ALUMINUM intake manifold -- I used a FEL-PRO gasket set for the 4.6-liter TRUCK engine in the famous 95 MERC. I don't monkey with the Plastic Manifolds AT ALL.
How was the car running b4 u change um... was der an issue wit it. Got mines to stop smoking but know truns off wen I plug the master air flow but I disconnect it n runs on but once I step on Pedal for gas shuts off only wen I barely step on it will it runs 5 mph
A 99 Marquis is different on the throttle body side. There is a bracket below the throttle body and above the rail that has to be removed and I can't figure out how to remove it. It looks like the throttle body has to be loosened at the very least.
Sounds like you have AT LEAST ONE leaking fuel injector. You can get an Injector Rebuild Kit and do the job yourself. I got an Injector Rebuild Kit from Amazon -- saved A TON of money, and with like-new performance.
It depends; In theory, you *should* be able to depressurize the system cranking the car once -- obviously with the fuel pump fuse and gas cap both removed. I go overboard on everything usually, so I did 4x at ~3 seconds each time. A little extra wear on the starter yeah but I figured better safe than sorry. Please note that fuel will still be in the line, it should just be at a negligible pressure. So make sure the engine is cold before removing the fuel lines! 😎
NO cranking necessary -- Remember, your battery 's negative (-) terminal should be disconnected before you start work. ALWAYS. To take the pressure off the fuel rail -- there is a Schrader valve on the firewall end of the passenger's side of the fuel rail -- (shown in video) -- remove the valve cap and bleed the fuel pressure off.
Yes, you could drain fuel via the schrader valve, but the method shown in the video is literally step by step instruction from a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) issued by Ford Motor Company themselves, so I'm going with that.
This was a very well done and easy to follow tutorial, thanks so much!
😎 No problem!
Thank you man I just finish my 96 grand marquis LS I followed all your steps & I WON 🎉
Good Job, you are the only person that shows how to do this job right, keep up the great work.

Need yours help. I've replaced new fuel injectors on my grand marquis. But now there is smoke coming out of the tail pipe.
Did you reset your battery and ECU?

All lincolns, crown vics, and grand marquis are very similar. A few hoses might be in a different places but they're all very very similar
Did you have any leaks after this?
Can you show how to take the intake manifold off for coolant leak please

I also have 99 also ....did you figuire it out?
It's some bracket for car wrecks, if you take the window wiper shroud off you can get to the bolt very easy.
Great video
How long did this actually take you change them all?
Do You Have A Video With The Front Bumper Replacement on That 95.... #AwsomeVids
Does bad fuel injectors make ur car burn gas fast and also my car smells like fuel 97 👑 vic

Wassup Bossman. How many times or how long did you have to crank the car to let out the fuel?
I mean crackle the fuel out?

Awesome thanks
Damn good video
i done mine, and now it has no power, i was told that once you put them in you have to code or calibrate em
With these cars you shouldn't have to but probably depends on the year
With one hand at that
why would I trust a video with such BAD sound quality?????? :(
Because the info is accurate and helpful
