Richard,just wanted to let you know you helped me tremendously.I am 66 years old and will retire next year i hope.I have fished like yourself since i could carry poles and worms to the creeks for my Mom and Grandmother. It really is good fer you and always been my favorite pastime. I give up Deer hunting last season just getting to old and lost interest in shooting deer.I have been an avid Bass fisherman for ever and never gave much thought to crappie fishing.Well bass fishing began to lose interest also ans seriously considered selling my boat! I was watching fishing shows one evening and ran across Richard Gene the fishing machine,you sure got my attention with your lite line finesse fishing.I thought lite line was anything under 20 lb big game. Watched several of your shows and told myself next time i went fishing i was gonna leave the big line at home.Purchased me a buggy whip rod and my very first spinning reel,left the bass tackle at home and went Crappie fishing by my self under a bridge that crosses Sam Rayburn Lake.Richard i actually caught and kept 10 crappie all over 10 inches.I also cooked and my wife and i ate them for dinner.never would have done this with a bass.I was hard core catch and release.Thank you for introducing me to my new passion and renewing my love for fishing for fun and yes catch and eat fishing.My wife also thanks you ,she sure enjoyed the fish.Keep up the great videos Richard and tell Elmo he really needs to get out more!!

AWESOME VIDEO!! Don't apologize for any reason! We love the realism in the videos. When you catch a huge one, the video won't be perfect but I felt like I was in the fight with you! Have you ever fished the Chick? Lake Chickamauga in Chattanooga? All my fishing buddies, we go fish it two or three weekends every year and always catch a ton. I highly recommend it and would love to see a video from there. We were there about 3 weeks ago and caught 42 crappie one night, and we sat on the dock and talked about how much we enjoy your show, and even tried our best to reenact some of the things you say and the ending to your show. Great times! Some of my best moments in life come when I'm fishing! Thanks for all the awesome videos!!
1. That song at the end broght back memories! Good old Ray Stevens. 2. I like the use of the buckets, especially drilling holes, and using pool noodles to float the "livewell" for the shad. Very ingenious

Great fishing programs Richard. We catch a lots of spots on live crawdads in the fall. Many in the Arkansas Ozarks refer to spots as Kentucky bass, not sure why.

Mr. Richard Gene those 5 and 6 inch Gizzard Shad were the ticket on Weiss Lake. Those spots and that big ole Large Mouth were find looking fish. And they fight a little bit to! Good job.

Richard this has been the hardest year to catch bait that I have ever seen. When all else fails , go to the backs of creeks that you usually catch em in , And throw once , and move the boat ten feet , and throw again , basically what I’m saying is Just work it out with out looking for them to flip , or seeing them on the graph.

Plan on moving down to Ol' Alabam from Tennessee in a few years. Initially was to get closer to Orange beach for the wife, but now apparently there are some pretty good fishin' holes down there too!!
