I was double happy to find this new Mr. Gene Creek Fishing video this evening. First because they’re far and away my favorite RGTFM VIDEOS and second because it helped dispel my grumpy attitude after getting an old fashioned 100% total skunking laid on me this AM while fishing a trout pond I’d never been to before. I fished live worms, cast lures, fished shallow and deep and got bupkis. Oh well, at least the fall colors here in VT were beautiful!
This channel deserves much more views. What you're doing is providing awesome clean entertainment to people of all ages. My dad, my son, and me really enjoy watching your videos almost daily. We are from south Alabama and we love to fish. Keep it up!
Ka-wi-yit !! ! Loved the walk up! Gotcha! I caught a big crappie in shallow creek water when I was young. I dropped it and then started chasing it while my buddy said “you won’t catch him”! I chased that crappie all around until it swam to the edge and gave up. I reached down with both hands and lifted the crappie back out of the water. I turned around and watched my friends jaw drop.
I noticed years ago that lake bass, largemouth, smallmouth, and spot all 3 can be bleached out pattern-wise a lot of the time. You might not even know what it is till you get it in front of your face. But they're still nice to catch. ;-) River bass from even slow flowing rivers have better coloring and they're usually more healthy looking. Creek bass, though. They always have the best colors. The same colors you see in the pictures in books. And fat. That last one was a little lean. I think it might have been having some problems. Yet, it was still pretty. That's creek power. Thank you for taking us with you to the creek. Brings back great memories.

I've got to go to northern Alabama and fish these creeks. I'd give my left arm to catch spots and small mouth bass there. It's really a hidden gem considering in the last 3 years all of the fishing pressure are lakes have gotten especially these big famous lakes like guntersville and the coosa River these Creeks are virtually untapped.
It's some yuppy girl he liked back when he was a kid. But unfortunately she was a mean machine😂😁😂😁😂😁 and whooped up on him. So he stays to himself these days but stills goes fishin when he can cuz it's good fer him🔥💖👌😁💪🇺🇸
Was there a smallmouth or 2 in there early or are all of those spotted or Alabama bass? They all seemed to be so dark colored and beautiful creek bass. Thank you for the videos!

I’ve caught more fish with a line and a hook than any other way… Even for catfish, if there isn’t any current there’s no need to use a weight. Ponds and lakes all you need is a hook and bait and if you cast out real far in a pond or a lake you’re fishing out deeper than the catfish are…
Today I fished on the Big River in Missouri. It's a small river similar to a creek in portions. I caught a 19" smallmouth and a 20+ bass that I couldn't measure because it flopped off of the hook and then flopped out of my kayak. Those small rivers/creeks are great fishing.
Could ya do sum dock fishin videos for panfish and cats? I have access to a dock down here in GA off of Lake Blackshear. It's on a point where a wide crick and cove meet the main lake across from the damn...all I can seem to catch are small sunfish and young channel cats. Lost a few biguns out towards the creek channel in cover (stripers or large cats close to the bottom on better tackle hung me in cover). Its a lake plagued by heavy boat traffic (20% fishing 80% recreational watercraft). I need help to get me some good crappie, bluegill and cats! I sit on the dock all day lookin like elmo eating night crawlers and shiners! Its embarrassin Richard!!
I love my pflueger trions! I still have the trion gx-7. I've had it for about 8 years now. They used to come with 2 aluminum spools. I have trilene xl 4 lb on 1 and viscious 2 lb on the other. I been watching a lot of your panfish videos and had to subscribe. You inspired me to get out there and do some ultralight fishing again. 😁👍
