Hey, I did the sudoku and it was really cool! I even think the "All possible white dots are given" rule is not important, I don't recall using it once while solving and still got one and only one solution at the end.
Yep, you're right - it was a possibility I didn't consider at the time, but looking back, it doesn't take too long to see that 5 in R9C5 would require the line to go, from the bottom and going up, 5-1-6-2-7-3-9-4, but 4 would then have been adjacent to 3 high digits, and wouldn't be allowed. I forgot about the negative constraint, but it didn't seem to matter. I solved the puzzle in 22:09.
