Nice videos for ARC 2 . Would like to see more videos on using ARC such as is it better to use more mic positions , what to look for and reading the graphs , and how to correct what the calibration graphs to make it better. Thanks again for the video. #MRX1120
Things for the suggestion. I have been so impressed with the GIK room treatments (ua-cam.com/video/rvKiyfREo1E/v-deo.html) that I might consult with them and order some more. If I do, I'll want to re-calibrate and could probably shoot a more detailed video.
Hi i had Onkio and set up with oddysy i am buying the Antham 720 soon i hope arc doesn’t ruin my sub i have svs 2000 pro and loved how it sounded with odyssey
I really have to play with my system more . I bought the avm60 and am a little disappointed with my outcome compared to using my previous Marrantz pre pro. My 7005 gave me the option to choose full speaker , which I did on all five , because I’m running Paradigm Studio 100’s front and rear ,plus a CC690 centre . Until I watched you ,I wasn’t aware you could choose full size speaker . Not sure how I missed that ,or if I did for that matter ,but can’t remember for sure. But I was told it isn’t recommended on a forum ? As it stands , ARC set my Paradigm pw2200 subwoofer to 120 hz crossover ,and the towers to 80 hz. If I modify the crossover frequency of the towers with the setup on the guide with my remote ,and lower the crossover setting on all my 5 speakers to 0hz ,then the sub loses its output ,because I was told the subwoofer information is coming from the front left and right channels ,so your cutting off the information to the subs pre out as you do this? Anyways, if I chose to make the speakers full range like you did, would the outcome be different and not cut the front and rear and centre channels low end out , and still keep the preamp info to the subwoofer? Sorry if this makes no sense . And thank you for posting
There's a lot going on with bass management and LFE. I recommend watching this video if you haven't ua-cam.com/video/7ASnhNFxWvo/v-deo.html Also, stop over to www.thelounj.com and start a thread. I'd be happy to give you more specific advice. you have a goo set of speakers there and you should be able to maximize the performance.
I will join whatever forum you recommend. Thank you very much. I’m getting a little concerned ,as I’m getting ear fatigue I never got with my Marrantz . Almost like those tubes are closing that drive you crazy when you come down a mountain, Strange thing is I’m not listening to it any louder ? I have to say this Arc is a little more intimidating than Marrantzs room correction . I am noticing more detail , but I’m kicking myself for buying the anthem at this point . Including the MCA525,it was like doing an $8,000 downgrade . I may keep the amp and try and sell the avm60 if worst comes to worst . I’ll try everything inbetween first
I just looked st the specs of my studio 100’s ,and there rated down to 47hz , not to 20 like I was hoping for. I’m still thinking of putting them on full though. But it does say low frequency extension 25hz (DIN) . Not sure what DIN is though ? Like the video said ,LFE sends bass to other speakers other than the subwoofer, so having large speakers are an asset imo
I am not quite sure I follow the way you set the phase on the subwoofer. My understanding is that you set the phase such that it is aligned with the fronts, setting the phase by itself doesn't make sense IMHO. Could you explain your reasoning?
I tried this today and when I changed the phase on my PW2200, nothing changed . I did see the response change for obvious reasons when I changed the frequency cut off . But I imagine if your using multiple subs at the same time ,that your theory would work .
Phase is relative to another sound source so with one sub, nothing will happen. Now if you were doing a stereo system where you were running the L/R speakers full range and then adding a sub in, you would align the phase of your sub with your speakers. But in a home theater setup where you're only sending an LFE signal to one sub, there is nothing to align it to.
24 seconds agoI had a 9 channel Integra that did not support 4K video just up sampling to 4K. So I purchased MX1120 it sound a little better than the 4 year old Integra DTR 70.3 but that is it. The software is horrible ACR terrible, optical output only works on Bypass, it sometime switches channel by it's self, just not a good product. I would return mine but to late. If I could do this all over I buy New Integra.Jim

Hello do you know if the ARC 1M kit works with the MRX300? The mrx300 originally comes with ARC 1.

Thank you for the link . Very interesting listening. I should certainly have my speakers set to full according to what I’m understanding

Oddysy is crap :) cant wait to get anthay 720 did you find arc setting better than when you charge your main to full range ?

for some reason the ARC set my Subwoofer 170Hz but on the Anthem MRX 720 its at 120hz,
Abbey king what do you mean? Did it set the LFE at a different level in two different runs or two different places in the software?
Been in the business 19 years,,,,this is smoke N mirrors!
can we have rt60 measurement?
