Dave... Good deal. Great job. Thanks for sharing the details of the NX line of radios from Spektrum. Seems like only the high end radios get more attention to detail from Spektrum. I appreciate your contribution and dedication to this hobby. 👊
Excellent job on this, many thanks. Spektrum's NX10 manual did not do a very good job on how to navigate the Servo Setup section and your video cleared it right up for me.
What a great series of videos very helpful thank you can I ask you a question how do I put elevator and rudder on right stick I trying to set up a f5res glider so just want throttle on left stick and spoiler on a switch regards Mike
great Video's Question I have a NX8 radio and a Night Rdian 2.0 and it is set up with the rudder on the left stick how can I move the rudder to the right stick? There is no alierons on thei plane and prefer rudder on the right wit elevator not sure if I can move the lead on the reciever of this airplane and it is hard to get at. Thank you
Hi great tutorial, I am a owner of a spektrum Nx8, Trying to have throttle as elevator (left control stick) And rudder on (right controll stick) ie left elevator up/down Right rudder (left right) This is for a glider, I can't work it out, do you have a tutorial on what to assign control sticks too? Regards 🇬🇧🛩️
Hello, I realize this was posted 3 yrs ago, but hoping you may still monitor and/or respond to comments about it. I'm trying to configure a 2M RES sailplane using an NX8 Tx. My plane has a single, centered wing spoiler that is plugged into the Rudder receiver port. I have read, fiddled, read, fiddled, watched videos, etc.. so much my fiddler is sore. The Spektrum "Servo Setup / Travel" screen seems to be beyond my understanding. In watching your video, you demonstrate the example of adjusting travel for the Aileron "stick". You explain how to isolate the 2 display travel numbers in order to have different left/right values. You then proceed to scroll across the other channels and at 3:57 you go past the "gear" channel where only ONE of the numbers is highlighted? Something is different there, but you don't address it. You then proceed to the next setup item which is SubTrim. Sorry for this long comment, but my question is about what you didn't explain. I want to control my spoiler by a 3-position switch, not a stick, as you might with a gear servo. I can't for the life of me figure out the programming there so that I can select the right amount of spoiler up on the 1 & 2 switch settings (0 is all the way down). It's kind of making me crazy - it seems random but I know it can't be. If there's any way you could explain what Spektrum has in mind and how to configure the travel of a 3-position switch, I would be most grateful. Thank you for sharing!
I came across an issue with my nx8 in the balance screen. The elevator center was at 30, so one direction it traveled to 70 and the other direction went to 130. Because of this, I could not program in reverse thrust. I’m not sure how it got here as I had never known about the screen. I adjusted it with the trim button because I didn’t know how the values would change things. All 3 lines on the graph were straight and by changing the values, the lines are no longer straight. This is for a Turbo Timber EVO. If I understand you correctly, I would adjust the center tick by 30, testing each direction to be sure i changed it the right way?
Good info Dave! I use "Absolute Travel" to prevent a mix from adding travel beyond the "Travel" limits and overdriving a servo. ie: if I have "Crow" enabled and then lower the flaps, it prevents the flap servos from going beyond the endpoints.

I like the way you worked “all out of wack” in there. Very subtle, yet appropriate. The mark of a true professional. Excellent!
I aim to please Mike. LoL
Everything you ever wanted to know about servo setup and the some. Excellent presentation. 👍
As always, great tutorial...

Always a pleasure. Thanks for the comment. Folks like you are exactly why I do this.
Thanks Dave . You change my RC life😵💫😵💫😵💫
Great video. I have an NX8 and watching your video answered many questions. Thanks so much!
My "go to" series for help with my NX10. Thanks again, Dave.
Great video. Your video has helped a beginner a lot!!!

🦄 Nice presentation 👏, . Nice that you covered maximum travel.
great info; thanks....
Best explanation I have found. Thank you.
Can you use this to take chattering out of a servo or would you use sub trim, for example you have a right flap servo chattering.
It’s possible… Most of the chattering servos I have had in the past are just bad Servos, or more likely bad potentiometers in the servos.
Great walk through Dave
Great Video. Great tutorial
Love the shirt!!

Have you tried calibrating the sticks ?
Hi Dave where is the Radiomaster? 🤣✌
Check out John over at RC Video Reviews for everything Radiomaster and OpenTX. Great stuff!

Very cool application. Thanks for sharing
Very helpful. Show me how to get the voice commands working. NEXT
You didn't demo in the true sense of the word abs travel. I would have liked to have seen it done on an actual servo mounted in a vehicle.
