Thanks Dave. This is the best explanation I have seen on how to set up mixes on Spektrum radios.

    Excellent explanation.
I plan to buy the nx10 in time for the flying season next year which will give spektrum lots of time to iron most of the irritating bugs they have just now. Once I buy the Tx I'll be coming back to review all your videos.
Thx for taking the time to post the tutorials.

Thank you for this tutorial. I have a Patty Wagstaff 300 with a DLE 55 on it. At full throttle the engine torque was causing the plane to want to roll. After putting in a throttle / aileron mix I am able to go WOT and it tracks much more level. You are appreciated!

I was wondering how you tuned the Nose Gear if I wanted to split if from the rudder on an 8 channel receiver. . Thanks for showing me the Mix for that.

Thanks for your videos and instruction. Just a comment from a "literal" guy...vocabulary is critical to understanding. For example, when you say "when we move the aileron "control", is that the aileron stick, receiver port or aileron surfaces? I'm just beginning to study mixing. One video i watched clarified that the left item is the "stick" or switch you're moving. If I hadn't seen that i wouldn't know you're talking about the stick. please this is NOT a criticism - just saying that many helpful youtube content providers presume all of us know more than we actually do (meaning me). So they inadvertently leave out little key points because it's second nature to them. Anyway, thank you again for taking the time to educate us.

Many thanks for this video, it explains a lot more than the manual. Not sure what the curves are in the "normal" mode, In you examples it seems to be all linear mapping, but if the can't be influenced. Or is this exactly the difference selecting normal or curves mixes? I have a control requirement where I would need to have two mixes processed sequentially. So programming for example the first curve mix to AX5 on the NX10 works perfectly when checking AX5 in the monitor. If I then use AX5 as an output of that first mix as an input to a subsequent mix, ie AX5>AX2 then this mix sees the value of AX5 always zero even so monitor shows otherwise. If I want to prove this subsequent mix to work properly and hence disable the first mix output by setting it to INH and then channel assign say the R-knob to AX5, then the the AX5 input to the second mix is all working as expected. So it looks like you cannot use an AX channel as input to a mix that has not a direct assignment in the channels' assignment menu. Have I overlooked something? Can anyone get this working?

Great video. I was thinking about a Rudder/Elevator mix to reduce coupling in Knife-edge maneuver. What is the Rud>Ail/Ele mix that came with my NX8 for?

Thank you very much for this great video. There´s only one topic that I don´t understand. I own a Spektrum NX8 and a Blade 230S Smart RTF. I´ve done the programming of the NX8 acc. to the BNF-table of the manual and after watching your video I´m not quite sure if I have programmed the panic recovery correctly. On "mixing" I first select "normal" and switch "I" with "I" -> "GER". At the beginning the curve shows 0 and switch position shows 0 and switch box shows 0, too. Now I press and hold switch "I" and while holding "I", curve jumps to 1 and so do switch position (1) and switch box (1). While holding switch "I" I setup the rates and offsets acc. to the manual. After releasing switch "I" the screen jumps back to curve 0. My question is now, am I doing this mixing for panic recovery correctly or should I setup both swith positions on curve 0 with the 0-conditopn being on the hatched box? I hope you understand my description. Thank you very much in advance and have a nice day. Best regards, Markus.
