I think they sound different because this Yamaha engine is from a newer generation that adopted a “big bang” firing order on the early 90’s. This NSR is from mid 80’s, and it has a “screamer” engine.
Oomg yes i race ama when i was alot younger 600s a buddys dad had a full blown gp 500 i thought i was hot stuff til the day i was allowed to ride one of these things affter the respect i had for anyone let alone Wayne rainy or any of those top riders was amazing
as long as they have lights, blinkers, place for the license plate, etc you can ride em in the street in many countries, Maico makes 700cc 2stroke engines, yamaha still makes their yzs 125 and 250cc 2stroke bikes, in the UE you can have a kit to make most mx bikes into 500cc bikes. Of course they're bikes to be ridden on the outdoors, not that much for the city, but I think you can make them legal by addin those previous items

Look at new brit company langen I think with new Rd 2 stroke 250 80 bhp or thereabouts..
