I'm restoring a 1985 Mr. Pike but my restoration will not be as extensive as yours. The past owner restored the floor, so I'm basically repainting. Your red carpet on the floorboard is beautiful and I really like how you made an aft platform. I'll be fishing with grandkids so a fore platform for now is not a good idea for me - but maybe later. These Lund boats are amazing! I stored mine in a slip at the marine during the month I restored the trailer and ole' Mr. Pike didn't take on a drop of water! I was very impressed for a 36 year old boat. Thank you for your restoration videos. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Kudos!!
Hey I love the video. I am restoring the same boat. I have 2 questions 1)did you use marine grade wood? 2) I really like the bench you put at the back of the boat, what did you use for the metal bracing on the floor and where do you get it?
I did not use marine grade wood, I was told it rots easily. The bench in the back was really simple. It was 4 pieces of aluminum angle iron, and 1 piece of aluminum sheet metal. 2 pieces would be riveted on either side of the sheet metal on the top and bottom!
Honestly I used the topside rustoleum boat paint for the interior and I used an off brand tractor and implement paint for the exterior. The tractor paint is holding up much better
I just made a few measurements and cut a piece of plywood to fit the front. I put 2 storage lids up there and a seat mount. If I were to do it again, I’d put my live well towards the front, like where the speakers are
Grandpa had the same exact boat different motor, it’s been sitting for so long but I’m trying to get it running again if you could offer any advice specific to these boats before I dig in too deep I’d appreciate it
More than I care to admit.. it was a fun project, so I think it was worth it. I’ll have a new video of it on the water once it warms up. I’ll explain costs then!
Good job, I am going to start restoring a Lund, I learned a lot from your videos, thanks.

Thank you! Good luck with yours as well!
Great job, it's looking good 👍
Keep em coming bud.

I mean the spacers for the tanks.

very nice job it looks great are you thinking of installing any rod holders
I will be installing some very basic rod holders. A new video of it on the water will be coming once it warms up a bit!
I couldn’t see what kind of paint you were using. I know it should be exterior enamel but what brand would you recommend
Honestly I used the topside rustoleum boat paint for the interior and I used an off brand tractor and implement paint for the exterior. The tractor paint is holding up much better
Use a harbor freight paint gun and it will work a lot better than rolling it on! There are tons of videos online how to do it!
Mick what did you do for your front casting deck? I'm redoing the same boat!

@@mickbullerman4976 What are the supports though? just angle aluminum and sheet aluminum supports?
Grandpa had the same exact boat different motor, it’s been sitting for so long but I’m trying to get it running again if you could offer any advice specific to these boats before I dig in too deep I’d appreciate it
They are really tough boats! Check for leaks first and check the transom. If both of those are good, it’s worth putting the time into it!
@Mick, do you know what fuse is used? I have the same boat, by lost my fuse and I can’t find the fuse type anywhere on the internet. Thanks.
Fuse for what exactly? I can tell u what I have
Do you know approximately how much it cost you to update the boat?

How much did this cost you?
More than it’s worth to anyone else haha
