- Let's get organized!
I recommend that every home has a Landing Zone, for all of those items that you drop when you walk in the door. In this video, I'll show you how to create and organize a Landing Zone that includes a charging station, receipt sorter, bill paying station and storage for everyday household items.

That charging station box was genius
No one creates videos on landing/command zones, yet they seem so instrumental for a household! Thank you for making one!! 👍🏻
The other day I was watching one of your videos and my hubby came up. "What's that? A commercial?" he asked. "Nope." I responded. "That's Cass. She's the reason we no longer have piles of papers all over our bar!" :-D
The end is always my favorite. You should start another you tube channel of you being real/raw and your perfectly imperfect self. It would be hilarious!! Do it live even!! 🎉😁
I love that you are showing us other people’s homes because we get the real “before” picture. At my house, all my clutter ends up getting its own seat at my dining room table lol ... it’s a guest basically 😂 so I know I need to create a landing space, too. I also like seeing how you stick those dollar tree decals on the wall 👍
I didn’t know that I have been taking my milk cartons for granted. Thank goodness for the privilege of buying milk in a carton. 😂🙌🏻🥛
Lol your too funny topless pot smoking Canadians 😂😂😂, you should have a regular spot on tv, you sure cheer me up xxx
I love your organization tips❣ and as a 🐝 I hope to utilize these ideas in my home. Love your stuff. My family is getting tired of me sending them your videos. Recently we had a snow storm here which paralyzed the whole state of Arkansas. My family all lives pretty much in walking distance from eachother. My sister was needing assistance cleaning her home because she had re-injured her ankle. One she had broke before. While there along with some other family that had also came to help move things for her I made every one take your organization test. My sister's style is a cricket, her daughter is a butterfly, my daughter and her husband are bees like me. It was fun to get people on board to take the test. Maybe soon you will have more followers😉
😂😂😂 I love when you go on your weirdness rant at the end 😂😂🤗
I LOVE the fun facts at the end, and that charging station is VERY creative!
Those weird things you talk about are sooooo cooooool to hear 😂. Have a sweet day Cass 💜
canada fact (Cass said this in one of her old videos), we leave our shoes at the door! no shoes in the house for guests too 😄 so if there’s a house party, the entrance is FULL of shoes. once, my friend mistook my boots for hers (we have the same boots). they were long gone when we decided to go home and “my” boots DIDNT fit me 😭 her husband had to drive back to exchange them 😂 but they lived pretty close to our friends’ who hosted. so yeah, drawback: make sure you get your own shoes! 😂
The bag thing is so funny! I totally thought you were pulling our leg on the names of the money! lol!
My mother was born in Canada. In Stratford, Ontario and we used to visit my great aunts and great uncles there. Also we used to vacation every summer in Southampton. Wonderful memories of a beautiful country! Thanks for sharing your Canadian facts! Another book, yaaaayyy! Love ya, Cass! :o) ♡♡♡
The charging station idea!!!!! Yes!!!!! Thank you! Using it TODAY
GreenCrystalRose, please be careful with the materials to use for the charging station, because if the box seals very well, the heat cannot escape and your phone or tablet could cause a fire, paper and wood looks nice, but it burns fast. Use a plastic wooven basket for example, so the air can circulate. Sorry, my german autocorrect is going crazy.
Canada is a beautiful country. Actually, I lived there in my 10s and 20s. It was the wonderful years of my life. I LOVE the coloured leaves of maple trees in this time of year. You are one of the luckiest 'cause you are still there.
How much do I love you girl!!! Let me count the ways...AND on 17 different levels!
I just really enjoy your videos and your humor 😘 not to mention all your ideas.
Have a 'trippin-the-light-fantastic-day"!☀️
(that's a phrase my 98yo Grandma still says)
I too live in Canada. And those are unique things for our country. And lots of innovative ideas. When traveling or entertaining visitors, we find out different things that are normal for us are strange to others.
A common question I was asked when traveling, " whats it like to use a dog sled?" . I have never used a dog sled. Have you?
We have so much to be proud, but always find conversations going to the unusual things.
I lived in a city where Jumbo, the elephant died. Hit by a train. And have seen the grave stone of PT Barnum his owner . Which ironically isn't far from where his elephant died.
Have a great day and stay safe.
My husband and I have been to Canada and we still laugh about some of the differences we experienced. We had to stop and ask for directions and we were told by a helpful young man there were about "1000 foots" to drive to get to our destination, knowing we were not from there and trying to explain the way we would understand (we use miles not kilometers)....ha! We are used to travelling using miles so we were trying to figure out how to convert feet to miles. Also, we love our ice here so when we got a drink from a fast food place with no ice was different for us....those are the things that stick out to me, was not aware of any facts so nice to know. We had a great experience. My husband's softball team played in a tournament in Canada is why we were there. :)
I loved the Canada facts! More importantly I was so happy to see what you did with the rest of the clutter in this families home. After the command center video, I was like "wait! where's the rest of their crap?" Great video, now I need to go take care of my own crap.
You have a beautiful home but I am enjoying the new transformation videos. I hope you continue to make videos like this
This is fun seeing you apply your wisdom to other’s houses! (The milk baby thing made me laugh out loud!! 😂)
American here 👋
Never ever have I ever heard of a milk bag 😂
I would think that might not be the best idea in a place that gets below freezing for most of the year.
Sending blessings to you as you open and try to organize bags of milk.
Toodles 👋
Here's me thinking we are wiered and now I've discovered Canada is wiered too, lesson learned ,Thank you Cass ,love and hugs xx
You are hysterical! I seriously look forward to your new videos. What? Topless, milk babies and no pennies 🤯 I love it. 🤣
I love the box for charging idea. I don't have a landing zone. I just put things where they go but I never carry in stuff and no kids either. lol I do leave my keys hanging by my door so I don't forget them and lock myself out. lol Thanks for your wonderful vids. :)
Loonies and Tunnies love it.
I seriously love watching your videos. From the seriousness to the epiphanies haha 💖🤣
Hi Cas! I preordered the new book... so excited, almost done with your last book. Keep motivating us, I know I do appreciate and enjoy your VLOGS.
Thank you!!!
I loved how it turned out. So much space and clutter free. You made me giggle about the facts of Canada, it's interested to know how different countries can be. Love you videos
IDK why but I loved the ending of this video.
I have to say I've been a fan of your for 4 years now and your fantastic
I’m totally here for the end of these videos only 😂
A local US farmer bagged and sold his farm milk when I was a kid. We bought the special pitcher to hold the bag and it had a slot to put the open corner in to keep the bag closed.
My landing zone....no matter how hard I try to keep it neat...my husband always comes in and junks it all up!
I feel ya. I am the only female in our family of four. I wonder if my home might actually stay clean if I sent them on a vacation without me ...
@@candycemonroe7345 there's an idea.
It's so hard to keep anything organized in my house because of my husband. He just junks everything up and never throws anything away.
LOL!! Mine actually uses our landing zone! I show it in my organizing video!
ds southern - Amen!
Bee here-love the charging box! What a great idea!
🇨🇦 Facts about Canada😀. Another fact, we are truly blessed to be Canadian.
I liked the “ facts from Canada “! Thanks! And your videos are great; I remember you back in the day, and been watching since Milo was an infant!! Keep going sista, you rock!
I really miss the baby milk bags...LOL I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and moved to the U.S in 2010. I miss home and all of our unique laws, money and snacks.
I love the end of your videos... nobody makes me laugh like you do. 😂😂😂
Ok..I first thought I was a butterfly, but now I'm pretty sure I'm a bee. This is just me! Inside cupboards are organised but lots of homeless clutter. Love the receipt binder and charging box.
Cas!! This video is perfection! This one and the command center totally solidified that I’m a BEE. Looking forward to incorporating into my home! ❤️
Loved the Canada factoids. I wish we could be so progressive 😉
It only rounds up and down when you use cash. Debit and credit still technically uses “pennies.” Much love from New Brunswick!
Love this! I am such a bee! My husband thinks I’m a hot mess but perfectionist at the same time. My little ones just keep making messes and eating. I feel like I’m trapped in a repeating dream where everyday it’s a game to see how much I can control the messes and meltdowns. 🙄 What a change from 4 years ago when all I worried about was how many vacation days I had left 😂
I’m now trying to find time to create a drop zone/command center. Our entryway is downstairs and we just hang coats (sometimes) and shoes there.
I'm a perfectly hot mess too, a bee and I try to set up things like land zones, but everyone in my family has found their own special spot it seems. My husband is the worst, he walks right past the bin on the front console that the kids put the mail in for him to pick up and pay the bills and puts HIS papers etc on the corner of the kitchen counter instead. My kids stuff gets emptied into their rooms because unfortunately they are right beside the front entry so they just keep going through the front hall to put anything they have down... even though school bags have hooks in the library because that's where homework gets done. There is no system to save us from all of this.
I had friends come to visit from Nova Scotia back in August...they told us about the pennys...they asked for pennys...because they didn't have any in Canada...we thought it to be really strange but it is true! our friends traveled on 3 different plans and lay overs to get here but was here in about 12 hours....and going back they had to stay over a night then caught a different flight the next day..it was so messed up for them...it took them 3 days to get home!! She found out that she doesn't like West Virginia's roads..haha our mountains are very curvy! :D Great Video!!!
I do love your ideas and systems. They remind me of the habits I have learned from the famous FlyLady, but you have your own little touch with breaking it down into each person's organizing style. "Clutterbug" is an amazing touch that has made a difference in my day-to-day life, just that fine-touch tweaking that my little family needed. Merci beaucoup, thank you so very much, for all that you give out to the community.
You're gonna laugh, but I had one major issue with my landing zone.... socks! we have a shoe cubby, right? We also take of our shoes when we get inside, but socks just end up everywhere! so learning that we are butterflies (from you! lol) I hung a hook with a small laundry mesh bag, and the socks magically ended up in the bag! like whoa! and it's so easy to just toss that little bag into the wash each day and replace with another, OMG thank you so much, you just don't know! 😍
Thanks for this video! I'll watch the other one as well. I should go back through your videos actually. We're a bee and butterfly house. So everything is out in the open. But woooowwww is everything out in the open. Your videos have helped me so so much with one of the places for my really important stuff. I put the shelf up and put everything in moderately organised open-top, clear containers. And it looks so much neater (to me) and I actually use the stuff that I was having to dig through a pile to find before. ❤️ off to watch more bug videos!
Very helpful organizing!
Hilarious!, more fun Canada facts please 😬
Love the charging station 😃
So functional, but what I like best is how beautiful it is! Love the drawer dividers with grey bottoms because things really show up in them. Great job matching their particular needs!
I live in Saskatchewan and our milk comes in plastic or paper jugs but.....they are all recyclable so they become a chair or something later 🤗
The smartest thing about legalizing MJ was the little Girl Guide who sold a whole bunch of cookies outside a marijuana dispensary! Love her! 🤣
Please give us more facts about Canada.
We don't live in igloos. 😉
We say aboat not aboot instead of abaowt. We say cot and caught the same way (and bot and bought, and tot and taught, and ought and aught, and so on). We are a quilt rather than a melting pot. Almost all Canadians live very close to the US border bc much of the rest of the country is frozen tundra, as in only thaws for a couple of months a year or even not at all. We tend to be overeducated and underemployed...
2 things:
1. How do you decide which organizing style trumps all the others living in the household? I'm a cricket and do most of the cleaning. Keeping the house like what suits me has not worked out for the other bees and butterflies in my house.
2. I'd love if you got an update from the family like 1-2 weeks later to see if they've kept up the organization.
Exactly.
And a year later!
Placed my order. It’s being released on my birthday so it’s my gift to my self. Woop woop!
The end is my favorite!!!!!! I love watching you!!!!
Love that charging station!!! I’m
Dying over facts about Canada🤣
I love canada! Went to Banff a few years ago and loved it!
This is exactly what I need for my home...they kick their shoes off in the floor..take socks off..throw those with their shoes...everyone comes in and throws their stuff down on the kitchen table..or on the counter top in the kitchen...instead of putting it someone right where they come in the door...Cass..I have a place right by the kitchen table that would be perfect for this....I will look for a solution! :D Thank you for this video!!
Btw, Love the 2-zone option. I spent a lot of time working out what to put in our command center. It works great now. My Mom always had a landing zone for us so have set that up since we moved in. :0)
Love the Canada 🇨🇦 Facts.!!!
I'm not in canada, but I would love to have you in my home. You are simply great! So much talent. Thank you!
I just adore your videos that break down each bug!!!
Proud Canadian here!
Good information and it was funny about the milk baby and the penny! 😂
We LOVE to hear more about Canada!
You have the best facts about Canada, as a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 😆
I’m so glad I found you. Your videos relax me. Can you do a video on a kid zone for like back packs and shoes and all that?? I have three teenage boys and they just through their stuff every where.
The cord solution! Genius!
My family pile their things on the kitchen island in the kitchen...I need to make a landing Zone...great idea! :D
My family and I are seriously considering moving to Canada. So facts like these are so helpful.
We actually had milk bags when I was a kid. They came with a pour spout thingy on them. So you plopped them in the container and you turned on the spout. It was cool 😎. We are not that cool anymore.
I like that Canada has their money in different colors. You can tell what you have by the color. That is very cool 😎. As for my own personal top half. I will keep that covered. 😊
I can remember getting milk in bags for school lunches in the Midwest... go figure!
Also, you are hysterical. Thank you for your videos!
I love the recharging station box. Drilling holes in the back is brilliant. More facts about Canada, Please.
oooohh, Cas! you ruined my thoughts of how cool Canada is... guess the fantasy couldn't last... ha ha ha! Great vid!
I love that you are helping others get organized. I hope these people realize how fortunate they are. The after looks great and I love the idea of an in/out basket. Sometimes I forget where I put things I need to return. I think milk in a bag is odd but I love that it’s a lot less waste than the plastic containers we have in the US. Thanks for sharing facts about Canada. Love you!!!
Funny you mention the whole legalization thing because the day before it became legal, I bought several canabis stocks and let me tell you, in the very short amount of time since, I have lost about 40% of that money!!!! I’m sure it will be fine long term but dang, I should have waited to buy till now.
We have milk in bags in India too. So you buy one each day. I think it is still a lot of Trash.
This is perfect, Cas! I love that you're showing us your organizing techniques in other people's homes! This is so helpful!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE your 'storytime'. :)
Thank you for all the tips from a Bee 🐝 momma
Hahaha!! Topless Pot Smoking Canadians! Sounds like a movie title! Thanks for the facts about Canada! Milk in a bag...hmmmm interesting! Lol I guess we don't always imagine that things are different in other countries! Nice to know though, plus you always make me smile and chuckle a little! Love ya!
Love the space you organized! More facts about Canada 🇨🇦 I didn’t know any of these!
My relatives, in Hungary, also buy milk in bags and they are allowed to go topless (not that they do). I wish we weren't so modest in the USA. Love the home you did! It looks fabulous!
Bahaha, love the ending. I'm in AB. We haven't had bagged milk for probably 20-25 years, so I still get thrown for a loop when I see grocery hauls with it LOL. The coins....I've even heard the possibility of a $5 coin? No....please no....
Loved the idea with the box to turn into a charging zone! Brilliant! Plus I loved the fun facts at the end :)
If I was rich ,or if I ever get rich. I'm hiring you as my home organization leader.
Milk in a bag! I love that weird random fact! And you betcha I'll be checking it out next time I cross the boarder. Michigander here. And Windsor is South of me! Fun fact!
Enjoyed learning about Canada! 🇨🇦
I live in Australia and the milk comes in cartons, but I was born in South Africa and the milk comes in bags! I remember when one would burst and run down the shelf in the store.... the milk section always smelled sour! 😂
How fortunate they are to have u . Plz do a video for small apartments.
What a blessing you are! My biggest problem-I live in a very old home that is not modernized for real life. Your channel helps!
I live in Michigan. Years ago we has bagged milk only at a local Quality Dairy store. This is a very small store. You had to buy the specially made pouring picture for the bags to fit in. Lol thanks for the video!❤️
We're just south of the border from you, and my grandson loves Canada *because* it has milk in a bag, etc., and poutine.
I used to think of Canada as peaceful, sparsely populated, industrious and now I can't quit seeing rows of topless, pot-smoking women behind lawn mowers. I guess that's still peaceful and industrious 🤣
Oh my, Bonnie. This is priceless. I cannot stop laughing. 🤣 ....or visualizing this.
@@orlybuchbinder3585It's all Cass' fault - couldn't get this out of my head once she said "because a man can cut the grass without a shirt on..."
Loved hearing about Canada’s facts!
You are the BEST at organizing. I LOVE your videos. This space turned out fantastic!
I love the little fun facts at the end. Like Canada, Australia no longer has $1 & $2 notes they're coins and our 1 & 2 cent coing went out of circulation many, many years ago. We also have 99c and its rounded up or down (93c becomes 95c) love you organising tricks👍👍👍
We don’t have pennies in Mexico 🇲🇽 either, I’ve always wonder why we have those kinds of prices too, great video as always ❤️
We don't have bags in Alberta. Our family buys 4 L jugs. When I lived in Ontario for a couple years it took me a while to get used to bags. Loved your video - both the organizing part and the Canada part. We live in a wonderful but funny country.
Hahahaha. You make me soooo happy. Love the milk part. 😂
I love Canada Facts!! That was fun!
Love the charging box idea! ^_^
Europe has "hard change" (1 Euro, 2 Euro) too... makes Canada even closer to Europe! By the way, I am from Germany, but I really love Canada. I have stayed in Nova Scotia for 10 month while I was in High School and my Dad has lived in Britsh Columbia for 18 years now!! Be glad to be able to live in such a great country!!!!
And before I end: I JUST LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
I love canada! Went to Banff a few years ago and loved it!
